Chapter 5: The Abyss

At midnight, Trâm took a taxi to the bus station, hoping to reach a distant city to start her life anew. But fate did not smile upon her. Trâm's car was stopped by a group of robbers. They were a dangerous gang, specializing in robbery and human trafficking, and they colluded with drivers to target late-night passengers. When they saw the beautiful Trâm, they hatched a dark plan.

Trâm was kidnapped, beaten, and raped that very night. In the abandoned lot, inside the cramped taxi, she was repeatedly assaulted by four men. She screamed and begged for help, but no one came to save her. Each man was like a ferocious monster, relentlessly tearing at her body. The foul-smelling, dark beasts did not stop invading every hole in her body. They forced her open, causing her skin to tear and bleed, and she was in agony, feeling like she might faint. The frenzied thrusts injured her reproductive area, and she suffered a miscarriage. Yet they did not let her go. They locked her in a dark room, without windows or light. Trâm was panicked, her body severely harmed. She was desperate, screaming for help, but in vain; she realized she could do nothing to escape this situation.

As time passed, Trâm discovered she was pregnant again. She did not know whose baby it was—probably one of the robbers who had raped her. She felt pain and humiliation, but with no other options, she pleaded with them to have mercy and let her go. But no, they viewed her as a prize; they prevented her from dying and forced her to accept living under their control. Trâm's belly grew larger, and they continued to take turns with her, laughing lewdly while they did so.

"This hole is stretched; it won't be easier to give birth?"

"Just stitch it tighter afterward. It might feel even better then."

When Trâm gave birth, the robbers immediately took the baby away to sell. They did not allow her to see her child, nor to hold it even once. Trâm cried and begged, but they only mocked her and beat her. "You are just a money-making tool for us!" one of the gang members said, with a tone full of contempt.

After giving birth, since their "underground" doctor said she had previously suffered a miscarriage and had damage to her reproductive area, this pregnancy was already the limit; if she became pregnant again, she would die. They regretted that if she died, they would lose a product. Therefore, Trâm was sold to a brothel, forced to service clients. They turned her into a money-making tool. She resembled a flower that had been drained of its life force, forced to exist in pain and exhaustion. She had to confront the lustful gazes, the rough hands, and the endless demands. Each passing day, she felt like a ghost, a shattered soul, no longer recognizing herself in the mirror. She lived soullessly, her heart turned to stone, with only pain and despair remaining, like a wounded beast, with no way to escape the invisible cage holding her captive.

In the long, dark nights, Trâm often cried silently, reminiscing about the past, thinking of her family, and mourning the child she had never held. She wondered if she would ever escape this hell. Would she ever see her child again? Or would she forever be buried, body and soul, in this filthy place?

Two years later, she was welcomed back by her family due to a police crackdown on prostitution in the area. Her parents cried tears of joy, relieved to finally find her. But unexpectedly, reuniting with them was a daughter who was a wreck, mentally unstable and broken.
