Jasmine's POV

I was full of fear when he said that. I hid myself behind Edward. James hissed and tried to get to me but everyone protected me.

"A human?" Laurent asked. "The girl is with us." Carlise said defensively. I buried my face in Edward's back. I had never been this scared in my life.

"I can see the game is over. We'll go now." Laurent said. James was still looking at me like I was a meal. Which in this case I suppose I was.

"Come on James." Laurent snapped. James took one last look at me before heading off into the woods with Laurent and the red head.

Edward walked me quickly to the car. He fiddled with my seatbelt until I finally told him that I got it.

"We have to get you out of here." Edward said as we drive back down the mountain. I looked at him.

"We can't just leave my sister and dad there." I insisted. Edward shook his head. "We dont have a choice. James is a tracker. The hunt is his obsession he won't stop until he gets what he's after."

This sent chills through my spine. He was actually hunting me. "I don't care we still need to get Bella and my dad out of there! They could get killed because of us!" I said raising my voice.

Soon enough Edward and I came up with a plan. I didn't like it at all but we were pressed for time and I couldn't argue.

"Edward it's over! Leave me alone!" I yelled as I walked into the house. "Jasmine please don't do this." He begged but I only slammed the door in his face.

"Hey what's going on Jas?" Dad asked me. I shake my head. "Nothing I need to get out of here." I said going upstairs to pack my bags.

"What did Edward do? He break up with you or something?" He asked me. With a ragged sigh I answered.

"No I broke up with him." I said. "I thought you liked him." He said. A lump formed in my throat. I didn't think I was gonna be able to do this.

As I walked down the stairs dad tried to stop me. Begging me to stay. "Look if you still wanna go in the morning I'll drive you to the airport myself." He insisted.

"Jasmine we can do more stuff together. Me you and Bella. I can change." He said sadly which made my heart shatter into a million pieces

"Like what? Eating at the diner every night? Steak and cobbler? Dad that's not me that's you." I snapped.

"But Jasmine.... I just got you back." He said in a hushed tone. His voice was cracking like he was about to cry.

"Yeah and if I don't get out now I'm gonna be stuck here like mom." I snapped before running out of the door.

I got into the truck and tore out of the driveway. My face was stained by tears. Suddenly Edward came to my side. "Maybe I should drive?" He asked.

I carefully moved over to he could drive. I tried to collect myself but I just ended up sobbing. "Your father's going to forgive you." Edward said.

I shake my head. "He won't. I told him the same thing my mom told him when she was leaving him. It broke him." I sniffled.

Edward held me close as he drove. I snuggled into him. Soon enough we got back to his house.

It was decided that I would go with Alice and Jasper south. "I'll keep her safe Edward." Alice promised.

I looked at Edward as I got into the car. "Please be careful. If anything happens to you I swear....." I said.

"Hey I'm gonna be fine. I'll come get you soon i promise." He said kissing my cheek gently.

As we drove I started to think about things. I could actually die. I had never been afraid of dying before. But now I was genuinely terrified.

Mostly I was worried about Edward and his family. I didn't want them to get hurt or even worse killed. I could never live with myself if that happened.

I was sitting on the couch in our hotel room when suddenly Alice froze in her spot. She was having a vision.

"Alice what is it?" Jasper asked her. "The tracker... He's changed course." She said. Jasper handed her paper and a pencil so she could draw that she saw.

"Mirrors a room full of mirrors." She said. And then it hit me. "My old ballet studio." I said.

Jasper and Alice looked at me. "You know this place?" Jasper asked me. I nodded. "Me and Bella used to take lessons there." I explained.

"We need to get out of here. The tracker is soon to catch on." Jasper said. I nodded in agreement.

While they were checking out I got a call from my mom. "Jasmine? Jasmine where are you?" She asked me.

"Mom calm down I'm ok." I promised her. Then suddenly her voice was replaced by an all too familiar one.

"Hello princess. Miss me?"
