So first off, the football season, as has been the case post-pandemic, ended up being a losing season, falling short of the playoffs by virtue of finishing 4-6.

However, because middle school sports, especially girls' sports, flies under the town's radar, VA girls' basketball didn't gain a whole lot of fans despite being excited for new talent emerging, in Heather, Audrey, Cora and Carrie.

What they don't suspect is that a basketball rival emerges from the other end of the state. Pearl River ended up relying on the international student exchange markets to get help in girls' basketball for a season at a time, with its administration feeling like local players lack the fundamentals.

Audrey, and four years later, Cora, also began playing quiz bowl, both competing at the HSNCT.

As for the JFBL, the winner of the season ended up being decided on the final week between Logan, Heather and Roland. But it was decided that, for future seasons, there would be no salary cap system for the league, and Heather thus gave up on it afterward, especially since she feels fantasy basketball is too shallow for her. And, of course, even after Heather's season playing fantasy basketball ends, she tries her best to stay on Al's good side.

Laetitia gave birth to a girl by the end of the JFBL season, Becky, who ended up playing small forward for VA herself, as well as singing national anthems at VA home games. Also, she lived out the rest of her life as the paint dept manager.

Logan ended up becoming a mailman, living up to his last name, while Richter tried his hand at masonry. Henry, on the other hand, became a police officer.

Once in high school, Heather substituted fantasy basketball for FFA. What drew Heather into FFA was her knowledge of the business side of sports, which the agronomy teacher believed could translate to playing agribusiness on the FFA team.
