"One more week!!" The red haired man on the computer screen cheers. You smile a but too. This was Shanks, your spirited and excitable soon to be sensei.
"Yeah, I cant wait to meet you in person sensei." You give a slight bow.
"Oh! I have a guest! One moment!" He hurries out screen before pulling another redhead into screen.
"Hey! Whats the big idea old man!?" He demands to Shanks.
"Talk to ___! Ill be back." Shanks chimes before disappearing. The new red head had frozen at your name. This, surprisingly shy and awkward guy is Kid, Shanks' adopted son. Hes a mechanic in training and knows more about cars than talking to girls.
"Hey.... ___...." He waves at you uncomfortably.
"So, did you get it working?" You go straight to the topic that would put him at ease. He blinks and lights up at that.
"Not yet, but I'm getting the last part today. With any luck I'll have it going tonight!" He rumbles grinning as you both shake a fist in triumph. What was 'it'? The motorcycle that Kid has been rebuilding since before Shanks introduced the two of you.
"I cant wait to see it Kid." You smile. He pauses, pink dusting his cheeks.
"Oh right... I keep forgetting you'll be coming in a week... I um... Your room is already set up and everything...." He rubs his neck, blush deepening. "M-Maybe I can take you for a ride around town when you get here? W-would you like That?...."
"You're so red right now..." You tease.
"Sh-Shut up..." He grumbles.
"Yeah, I would like that... You got your helmet right?" You inquire. He blinks and chuckles sitting back.
"Of course. Geez. You sound like youre worried about me." He teases back.
"Of course. I care about the red teddy bear." You smirk. He blinks and blushes again.
"Im not a teddy bear! I'm-"
"A terrifying ogre!" You both proclaim the last part together before chuckling.
"I can't wait..." He breathes looking down with a small smile. You blink and smile mischievously.
"Im gonna camera kiss you now... Muah! Muah! Muah!" You make kissy faces close to the camera so all he could see were your puckered lips.
"S-Stop! That's so weird!" He chuckles blushing more and covering his face.
"Not until you kissy face back! Muah! Muah! Muah!" You kiss.
"No! Youre crazy!" He laughs. You persist and he huffs. "Alright! Alright fine!"
You stop and pull back looking at the screen to find him hiding his face behind his hands. He gives you an embarrassed glare from behind his fingers. He lowers his hands and kisses at you red faced. You gasp and lean back, a hand over your heart.
"Cupid's arrow has struck me!" You exclaim dramatically.
"You're insane." He puts a hand over his face shaking his head with a small smile.
"And you like it." You stick out your tongue and he chuckles.
"Im back! Did you have fun flirting~ !?" Shanks teases off screen. Kid glares at him, blushing again.
"Shut up!... I-I'll see you later ___!" Kid says leaving swiftly.
"Bye! Miss you already!" You call. Shanks sits back down in front of the computer.
"Im glad you two get along so great.. Even if you are the only girl he talks to- not that I'm complaining. I ship you two all the way." He rumbles.
"Ship?... Did you really just say that?" You giggle.
"Yep! Ive been brushing up on the new lingo. Kid hates it but at least I'm not totally lost." He shrugs. "Anyway its probably getting late there, see you later."
"See you sensei." You chime.

However, early that morning when you woke, your father gave you news that broke your heart. Kid had got his motorcycle working, and during his drive around a drunk driver hit him on the way back to the temple. It had been an instant death...
