Hi! Welcome to my profile guide!

I made this little book specifically to dump my short stories, but as I don't write them often, I broadened its purpose. You can read this as a Get To Know The Author and a way to ask me questions if you want to. There will also be chapters about my future and ongoing projects. Adding to that, I'll also have a "Reading Order" chapter where you can find out how all my stories (even the ones that haven't seen the light of day) connect.

I'm not good at talking about myself, but here goes nothing...

The name is Astrid, and no, I don't have a dragon. I guess I always liked the name Astrid, and I don't see Astrids on wp that much, so I thought it'd do a cute pen name. I've been on Wattpad since 2019 when I made my debut with Boundless (proper title loading), and I've been writing on and off since then. Writer's block and I are TIGHT. Plus, the usual writing ability crisis, imposter syndrome and uni make it hard to write consistently. If you go by a book of mine without the occasional "THIS IS AWFUL" author note at the end, did you really read the book? I mean... But it's fine, 'cause I'm a star. It's not common knowledge, but I already hit that fame mark where you get your own personal hater (she deleted her comments, but I'm very proud of myself still). Literally my greatest accomplishment and no one can take me off my high horse.

I've been obsessed with books since I learned how to read, starting with Enid Blyton and moving on to the Fantasy genre in my teen years. Fantasy Fantasy, not Romantasy. I actually don't like Romance that much. Ironic, isn't it?

Aside from being a pro at corny titles and blurbs, I'm also a hardcore plotter. My writing process begins with writing every idea down, mixing around the pieces, filling in the blanks, until I have a cohesive plotline. I don't start writing unless I know everything that goes down in each chapter (not my earlier books, though, those are a mess). Then I hate it, I threaten to erase it, I don't, I tell myself I'll rewrite a better new draft, I don't have the time, I don't rewrite, I write the next project, I hate myself. Clearly, writing isn't for me.

In my very pretty profile (I won a profile beauty pageant once) you can find my exquisite, outstanding novels that have 0 grammatical errors and no plotholes whatsoever. This is sarcasm, in case you can't tell. They're all romance, teenfics mostly, and there are more romances to come. You'll also find The Dark Heir, which is there for GD promo only. It'll be a steampunk fantasy if I ever write it. Soon, my very first Mystery series, Liars, will join them all to collect dust.

I've also been in a few communities since joining Wattpad, but I've been a permanent member of The Savant G. for years now. It's a death trap in there. They catch you and won't ever let go. I'm a reviewer there in case anyone is interested. I'm also their favourite headliner, apparently. It's definitely one of the best communities I've been in, despite sucking the life out of me, and the people there are outstanding. It's me, I'm outstanding.
