|| Rat in a tunnel ||

"Ew! He is dirty. Don't touch him," a boy snickered.
"Yeah, a dirty punchbag!"
"Don't your parents feed you? Oh! I forgot you don't have any, to begin with."
"Looks at his shoes! It looks like they are from the ancient period."
"A-filthy-poor-rat!"
The group of children mocked and left the tiny young Jimin in the cold corner of the play area.
Jimin felt flames under his skin. He wants to skin every one of them, alive. His tears threaten to come out as they keep passing comments over him. His brain is pulling out methods to smash everyone that stood before him.
But it wasn't enough.
His will wasn't enough to take them down. He wants power and authority to slice everyone that stood before him.
He wants money to do that.
And that one thing held him back from flashing a sinister smirk over that tear coated cheeks and leaving the arena.
Rain poured heavily, flooding the roads and twigs of trees falling all over the mushy road. People closed their windows and curtains, carefully sliding their kids into a comfortable cushiony bed with thick sheets covering them.
With a coffee by the table, people kept typing something over their computer in the cafeteria glancing now and then, at the pouring heavy rain.
It was beautiful.
It was romantic.
It was cosy.
It was warm.
But the one who stood on those damp tar roads, barefoot without an umbrella over his head knew the truth. The rainwater sank into his skin through the stitched holes in his shirt. He knew how exactly it felt.
It was cold.
It was lonely.
It was dreadful in his eyes.
_________
Jimin lost his last brains cells. The last ones that were holding him back to mask his emotions. He slips down to fall on his knees. His eyes betray and shed a river of tears.
He clutches onto the checkered shirt of the Tae that held him oh-so tight.
Pouring out all his emotions and gripping the shirt tighter every time. Jimin struggled to hold himself together.
________
Tae's big brother wakes him up the next day and pulls him to the class. Tae doesn't want to go because it was the same old routine.
Plus Jimin won't be there, because Friday is tomorrow.
After school ends, Tae groggily walks down the lane. To his surprise, someone pulls his hand. He instantly fears but calms down when he sees that it's Jimin.
But wait! A very different Jimin.
A shiny black tuxedo perfectly fits his curves and prominently features his thick thighs with branded leather shoes to top the look.
Jimin graced his fingers through the golden-brown hair that were freshly dyed. His expensive watch flashed a shimmer of light, right into Tae's eyes.
The boy looked expensive and hot.
But Tae's eyes only caught Jimin's lips that curved into a lively smile, his cheeks puffing up in happiness, a light dust of pink covering them.
Tae shifts his gaze to look for the boy's orbs. They were glowing with dark brown contact lenses, but then the shine coming from the eyes behind those lenses was much more powerful.
The boy looked happy! Genuinely happy.
Jimin flicks his finger in front of Tae to snap him out of his thoughts.
"What are you thinking about?"
"I just...no you just... look different. Very different, to be specific." Tae stutters as he keeps gazing at the boy before him.
"I know! Now come with me. I need to take you somewhere," Jimin exclaims pulling Tae towards a brand new car.
Tae gulps as Jimin interlocks their fingers and opens the door for him.
"Don't worry it's a hired car. The chauffeur will take us to the place, as I am too young to drive," Jimin giggles as he takes in Tae's shocked expression.
The driver starts driving and Jimin sits comfortably in the back with his fingers still holding onto Tae's warm hands.
Tae has hundreds of questions to ask but forgets all of them as Jimin starts humming a song.
It is like honey being poured into one's ear.
They stop in front of a fancy restaurant. If Taehyung remembers, this is one of the finest hotels in Seoul and also the most expensive one out there.
Jimin walks through the main door confidently but Tae on the other hand hesitates at the start because this was all too confusing.
The waiter skips the wine and places the menu card and pours a bottle of grape juice into their glasses and waits to take the order.
"Jimin, I don't think we should-"
"Please bring us a set of the best dishes that you serve here. A set of two! Make sure it is the finest one." Jimin closes the menu card and smiles at the waiter who leaves after taking the order.
Every time Tae tries to ask Jimin, he cuts him short. So he decides to just stay quiet and let Jimin do what he wants to.
"Oh! I realised I don't have a phone with me. Can you take a picture of us, please?" Jimin requests, to which Tae simply nods in response.
"Also, can you send me a hard copy of it? I want to keep it."
Tae is feeling uneasy about this whole situation. It isn't something he expected. But Jimin is smiling.
That's all that matters right now.
They eat and talk like 'casual' friends do. They smile and giggle as a 'normal family does. They pass comments on the very minute actions of the people around them as a 'usual' couple does.
After the heavy meal they have, they walk out of the restaurant and stand at the corner of the pavement waiting for the car. Jimin's watch vibrates indicating it was past twelve.
"Oops! Your times up Cinderella. Meet you tomorrow." Jimin tilts his head to the side and winks before walking away.
[A/n:- What is Jimin planning? Any guesses?]
