Chap.1 Tale 1 Tome 1
Muddy grounds tracked with prints of men and wheels. The clay road in the outskirts of the Red Falls empty. Rocky, stone and clay lands covered with the blue grass. Scarce trees distant for each other. Patchy leaves grips the limbs of branches. The ground squirrels scurry about. Holes provided as homes to these and snakes. The breezy land active with life. It is here, the oddly robed person enters.
The oversized brown cloaked robe hanging off the hands and dragging on the ground. The wrinkles on the back of the neck were set with a pin to prevent a coverage off the wearer's sight. The dry mud still clinging on the bottom. Too long unwashed, yet not a given chance to clean. The short robed figure adjusting as he walks. Keeping to the path, he looks downward. Ignorant of what's around, he carefully proceed.
Much of everything that is happening, nothing seems to pay much attention to him. Singles and couples pass him with ease. However, something ahead is disruptive to the quiet scene. An argument between a feline man with thick fur and a horned child with a goat's eyes. As the robed figure perceives, they each looked at him. His simple appearance is odd. They guess that a monk came. They dismiss and return arguing.
"I promise to deliver you to your father. Stop making it so difficult," the cat being coarsely orders.
"No! I'm staying with mother. You can't make me," the goat child refused.
The short robed person tried to go around. But they are unknowingly blocking. "From the force holding us, release thy grip, Da're(Lift)," the figure chanting. Both barely got levitated as punishment. As he stares:
"Put me down. You can't do this. Listen to me. Foul sorcerer, put me down. Don't walk away," the brutish feline demand. The disoriented demands went unanswered.
As the robed person backs away, an another problem arrived. A group of scouts in matching uniforms coming. If they inquired him for anything, he'll be stuck talking for hours. If they try to arrest him, he must wound them and try to escape. Either results is troubling. So a third course, he flees hastily and the levitated fell softly. The stunned scouts suspiciously chase the robed youth.
"From resistance of air, release me and let me pass, feit(run). Quickly, grant strength to my fleeting steps, Hevite(haste). From the absence of light, grant me... Sobo Eti Havor(nothingness in sight)," he shouts. And the scouts watches a person quickly disappear in a quick pace. The jaws opened in awe. His rapid pace leaves a trail of smeared prints. Confused, they can't separate the marks of many travelers.
These scouts never witnessed anyone going faster than a clever elf or a feisty fae. Let alone going invisible while doing it as well. The stunned men return to the muddy road. They got an unbelievable tale to explain.
Meanwhile, the robed figure with a heavy pounding in his chest still flees. Panic stricken, he doesn't notice that he wasn't being chased. Gripping fear drives him to go as far as his legs take him. Unknowingly, he hastily ran into the large forbidden Jachki hunting grounds. Even worse for him, many eyes are upon him.
The Jachki hunters and spearmen watching in disheartening fashion. Their long prowling of the sacred prey ends in early failure. The invisible robed man successfully lured the beast away. Both now fleeting in the same direction. It was then, the wizard looks at the crying beast. He stopped for the brightly maned creature. It ran into his small chest. He reappeared with an unnatural shock for the impact. Both withering in pain, the robed youth then stare into its eyes. Bright blue, teary eyes peer into him.
The aching youth sees a scared small Satti cat. Normally it would be hidden. Unless... he sees the large angry mother. It carries a scaled leg of a water foul. The Satti cat female dropped precariously the freshly brought meal. Furiously it hunkers and steps slowly towards him. Her stalking action is clear.
Before it lunges. The robed wizard chants, "protect from injuries, oh life guardian. Save from wrongful death, great mother of the rocks and bones. Bettiam eh Nevi o Vigg, Masi(Guard of life and earth, Masi)
The hard ground erupted with a rocky bone hand. The Satti cat fell into the grasp of the giant hand. The now, shaking Satti cat is gently placed away. Masi, the deity of life and bones, doesn't kill unless provoked. The relieved wizard thanks the protective Masi. And Masi rears her mountainous head. Her gentle eyes of diamonds shine in the light. The Satti cats cautiously moved away safely. And Masi's gentle smile warms his heart...
