(Rip Dylan. It's hard to find music for him. This one's a little spoilery, technically, but if you know Red's gimmick, which is revealed in literally the fifth chapter, it's like "oh yeah of course he'd feel this way". Except he wouldn't. Because guess who doesn't fuckeeeeeeeeeeeeeen know) 

Hey it's Chrona again.  In regards to new art as mentioned in the last chapter, expect it sporadically because I ended up drawing a lot in Hawaii. When I say a lot, I mean a lot a lot a lot. You're going to get a bunch of really impressive spreads, mainly in September. It's going to be lit. Furthermore, I WILL be doing a really big chapter as a 1k special in a series I hope to repeat for the 5k, 10k, and 25k specials, if we ever went there. I don't want to spoil what it is but let's just say things will be fun.

Mmmmmf I'm actually really satisfied with my new art but there's the side effect there of kind of hating my old art. One of my many, many reasons for doing this daily project was to come to terms with my old art, because I was never going to appreciate my highs if I didn't appreciate my lows. Plus the biggest reason I didn't post new stuff was because there was this invisible "cut off" where the art was no longer good, and since I couldn't locate that, I couldn't decide what the last good thing worth posting was. Eventually I realized that in comparison to most of my friends and idols most of my improvement was probably menial anyways. I know that sounds really disheartening but deciding I was just going to do whatever the fuck I wanted, messy as it is, was pretty liberating. What was important was that I chose something to do and stuck with it, which I have, and honestly it's worked out pretty well.

So. Dylan. He's the archetypal "group dad", always the first to crack the perfect joke to defuse tension in an otherwise chaotically melodramatic scramble. He has better self-confidence than the rest of my characters, definitely the rest of this cast (except for Mary, maybe, and she's not healthy?). All around just a dad and a friend.

Some quick headshots of my boi. Giving Dylan a bit of a lip was one of my riskier creative decisions which says something about my creative decisions, but there you are. Dylan being just a little on the defensive/edgy side is a huge aesthetic even though he's a big happy dog in canon.

Until someone does anything stupid. Then he's ready to throw down.

Fullbody Dylan having way too much fun. Honestly I don't know what the animal is supposed to be here but sometime soon I'm going to do some more studies with animal anatomy for him just so the sketches I do of him look better, because right now they're kind of a continual catastrophe. Dylan's powers might be well-utilized in book, but outside of that, eh...
