So we're behind? Unfortunate, but not surprising.

This was homecoming week followed by the worst bout of... I mean, I wouldn't call anything that short-term depression, but I couldn't get out of bed and I lapsed into some really poor habits again. Let's just say it wasn't a good few days for me and leave it at that, which is unfortunate, because the parts where I was hanging out with my friends *were* really fun. Midnight post-homecoming Silver Diner run for the win, fellas! Anyways, I'm back and will be trying to post some of the... five chapters I need to get out... today, but I'm also technically behind on Inktober, so this might be all you get today. Plus, all the compositions I've been working on are really complicated! Of course, this means that when you do get art, it will be great art, but it might take a little. I can at least promise I will finish Inktober before the end of the month, and all the cast photos for Braver than our Demons are finished, so those'll post as close to regularly as I can manage them.

Tabai is a diplomat sent on a mission where the only objective required violence. Her job is more to persuade the locals to allow their objective to continue, given that seraphs roles in their respective universes is more often than not that of a deity. Saying "hey, we're here to kill god and leave" doesn't usually blow over well, so everything from coercion (see vials) to slander is used. Tabai has the skill and heart for these kind of missions, but there's a surprising amount of at least good intent within her.  She also views what they're doing as inherently wrong, and is in effect trying to soften the blow, even if it leaves her as complicit or an utter hypocrite. The outcome is more important to her than any personal standing. This does not make her many friends.

As the largest member of the group, nearly as tall as Cassie and three times heavier, she looks more like a Defender than Benn does, which everyone has brought up at least once. No one knows what her power set actually is, nor has anyone ever seen her actually use telekinesis, but nonetheless everyone is more than a little intimidated.
