Song for the day: Guts by Alex Winston

So I've decided I'm doing a different book for every single day of Inktober. I'm also doing color because my color is LITERAL SHIT and this is going to help me improve. Very slowly. As you can tell a lot of my garbage still looks really novice and the holes in my expertise and what you're supposed to do with color are EVERYWHERE but that's why it's actually worth practicing. 

Also song is because fights. Fight time. Not really a battle song but more an emotional combat song. If that makes sense? 

Day 2: Tranquil

Nothing says tranquil like deep space. Nothing says deep space like ambiguous romantic tension. If you're not getting that from the picture trust me you don't get it from the book either. You just get confused. Like me! I have no idea what I'm doing!

Alexa and G'ana have an interesting relationship that I wanted to attempt to represent symbolically. I guess a lot of this doesn't technically make sense yet and I edited my original composition which was in retrospect much better but I'm always a fan of Alexa's face. Y'all are gonna see a lot of her eventually I've been holding off because spoilers but I draw her on e v e r y t h i n g.

Day 3: Roasted

Roasted just kind of screamed "battle" to me.... I have not introduced Spirits Rising yet because my only art for the whole book is just this one shitty sketch of Von (although he's not looking that great here either) but essentially the above two are aliens (yes Abigail IS a Canis and NO it is not set in Omnia the multiverse just works that way) who both front as human throughout the book and are in love with the main character, who is human. The problem is that Von (below) is second in line for the abduction position in the entire enterprise the main character is involved with and Abigail is an interdimensional police who's been tracking down the lot of them for years. I also think Abigail and Riptide might secretly be the same character or something but I haven't talked about Riptide in this book either? Also I don't know if a Von/Abigail fight is actually canon? So it's not technically spoilers.
