Song for the day: Les Os by The Unicorns

(Spoilers for ships, obviously.) 

Definitely a Derramy song but in this house we love and appreciate all Derrick ships. On a sidenote all the images for this chapter disappeared twice while I was trying to post it which I count as the universe trying to save me from egregious sin. It's too late, universe. You can't stop me now.

I'm doing these in descending order of canonicity, kind of, so honorable mention? Derris. I didn't add Derrick and Maris because I have a Maris ship I like more.  ANYWHOMST. WE BEGIN.

Derrolive

Okay I actually don't like Derrolive mainly because Derrick is lowkey condescending (highkey kind of a prick) but Olive's unabashed affections are cute. They're kind of a Nepkat situation for you homestuck readers out there where it's so one sided that it's kind of ridiculous but you can't help but kind of root for it a little? I guess in canon it's all platonic. 

Derrarthittany (DAB)

If that ship name sounds terrible then you know exactly why I love this ship. It is sheer, unabashed bullshit and it is my favorite crack ship since I realized that Will Rosenbloom and Daisy had a lot in common (don't worry, it's human!Daisy x Will). I've literally spent seven months waiting for someone to point out that every description of Arthur in book makes it sound like Derrick wants him and no one has. Arthur is hot. He is also terrible and taken. This ship is the best thing I have ever done. The acronym is DAB. You could not get more less serious than this.

Derrickayla

And the award for literally least canon picture goes to these two. They hold hands probably once in the book and they're probably like staring in opposite directions pretending the other doesn't exist the whole time. Derrick and Mikayla aren't canonically platonic or romantic. They are canonically a huge mess of "you remind me of this person who is dead now" and pure projection and ANGST. 

Derramy

They're soulmates. That doesn't mean they get together or have a happy ending. I'm just stating a fact and that fact is that canonically these two were meant for each other.
