Song for the day: Okay, Everyone! (Variant 2) (Doki Doki Literature Club OST)

There is a very important question introduced but never answered in a story of mine that I ended up rescinding from Wattpad, and that is, if your spirit is in any way tampered with in Dreamland, what happens to you when you die?

I wouldn't necessarily call this vent art  but for a long time after failing my NaNoWriMo my eleventh grade year I couldn't write at all and I kept thinking about the character I had essentially failed. I was way too involved in the entire process and it lead to a very unhealthy string of weeks where I would just draw this character on things, stalking me throughout the day, watching me, reminding me constantly that I gave up.

There's also this character's canonical story. He's a shadow of a tampered spirit that lost one or more parts, making it impossible for the other two to naturally disperse upon death. The result is that he's stuck in a perpetual limbo. Similar things happen when Sentients die outside of Dreamland: their spirits echo in their bodies perpetually, a cry of anguish that extends for millennia.

Uh yeah, on the book front, quick tip, don't take failure as hard as I did! It's not worth it. I still like the design though, although I might have to tweak the horn placement. The idea is that six horns are associated with divinity (as well as wings, six is uniformly the number of the divine in the Chronaverse and horns, wings, bones, and blood are the four holy parts of the body) and so a corrupted, disheveled beast with six horns jutting out at random angles seemed fitting for a shadow of a thing, an inverse of life itself and by extension the divine light of life.
