Song for the Day: Civilian by Wye Oak

A doodle of Megan in the rain, the first thing I drew (which inspired all the other doodles in the last two pages.... and you know, the interceding Amalgama page, which was a happy little accident). Megan's... weird, because she's one of my favorite characters while simultaneously being a conglomeration of several tropes I don't like. Somehow, even though I originally only had any connection to Adam, I end up feeling all three of the trio hard when I write Deja Vu, although this go around I really have had so many "damn that's a mood" moments with Megan. It's probably the constant sobbing over things that aren't problems and overclocking. It's funny how that works.

Not a big fan of damsels in distress nor am I a big fan of fridges (unless they have food in them) but Megan's role in the story is critical the way it is, and I honestly relate to her a lot more than I should, as someone who loves deeply and can be very flighty/finicky when it comes to my stories. I think I would have done about the same thing in her situation and I don't think she made the right decision. Magic drugs?
