Song for the Day: Howl by Florence and the Machine

Not only is this song fairly generic but it doesn't really fit this character but rather his relationship with another character, who happens to be the mother of one of the side characters from this book. By side character, I mean main side character, because it's one of those stories where the main character is fairly singular and her companions come through on a rotating basis but have their own plots/etc. instead of the "what protagonist" ensemble casts I'm more prone to. Ian, who is the titular character of this chapter and not that side character, is one of the... antagonists??? This story has confusing morality because the main character is working for a government that doesn't always have the entire population's best interests at heart but also constitutes a greater good than the alternative posed by those militant groups who oppose it. I guess these guys are basically the White Fang from RWBY? They'd be more interesting if I developed them but Extraordinary is a f***ing alternate history book so the amount of lore that would go into its hypothetical creation is massive and thusly a huge deterrent. It's going to be on the backburner for another half a decade. Maybe longer.

Werewolves in this world are weird. I want to make them an unsettling mix between human and wolf characteristics, purposefully incorrect anatomy, so that they kind of look like men wearing sagging wolf suits. This was just a first run.
