Not a big fan of the Inktober prompts this year if we're going to be entirely honest. The point of a prompt is to illuminate some idea that otherwise would have eluded the creator, so while you want it to be something they wouldn't immediately think of, it also has to be something that you can *work with*. A lot of this year's prompts are really... well they're either awkward, or they're just not the right kind of vague. "Whale" had to be the one where I was like "how the HECK do you GET something from this?! do you expect EVERY artist to see 'whale' and think OH YEAH I KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THAT yeah we all have fucking WHALES lying around"

In Gevona's Hope, if you choose the Soleil route, you encounter (at one point) a guild of fisherwomen who are absolutely jacked and ride around on a magic whale getting their fishing done. From left to right you have the Stormseer, Bait, the leader, and some absolute queen with two eyepatches who definitely has tried to harpoon an actual whale. Not this whale though. The four of them are a force to be reckoned with and could probably mess you up on or off the water. The idea was that they'd join Soleil's "party"... geez every time I talk about this book I want to write it it's basically crowdsourced dungeons and dragons with a homestuck slant how metal does that sound
