Song for the day: Cold by Novo Amor

I actually have this song under a character from Roses and Thorns, but I never talk about or draw anyone from Roses and Thorns, because that book is fine, and if I can make the other stories I've written better by developing them, touching Roses and Thorns has only ever felt like tarnishing it. 

That has nothing to do with the songs... when I'm looking for an idyllic sense of fall calm, I often come back to the Roses and Thorns soundtrack. It makes me incredibly nostalgic, even though I'd consider that fall one of the worst times of my life. 

Given how that fall went down, that says a lot about my life... I've been pretty lucky. It's really hard to think of any truly negative moments that weren't localized inside the four unsteady walls of my head. Thankfully, now that I'm getting that under control, I can really appreciate the moments I've had over this fall. It's been an incredible season, and I've been happier and more social than at any other time in my life. I can't help but beam a little just thinking about it. :)

On a totally different note, this is G'ren from Luminous. It turns out I never posted her, even though I believe I got to Fenrir a while ago... G'ren, Ene, and Fen are the three similarly named protagonists of Luminous, a book about dragons, faith, and time travel. It's fun to compare and contrast the rigidly casted Omnian society and the rigidly organized Elysian one. Dragons and Omnians have a lot in common, but you'd never see either of them admit it! G'ren, like some of my recent Omnian protagonists, is an outcast. I won't spoil her beginnings here, although I might give more in a future chapter if I get some better art of her. For now, look upon actual dynamic posing (sorta!) and shudder.
