Song for the day: Float On by Modest Mouse 

(Back from Hawaii! Good things to come, especially including timely updates for y'all. At least y'all on the East Coast.)

Out of Bounds is just over a year old. It's eleven months in its current form, while Caroline, Sigil, and Joel are just over a year. August is a nice compromise. Happy birthday, guys! As a celebration, here is year old art of the Out of Bounds cast so you can all get acquainted with them.

Out of Bounds is about an alien saving the Earth for community service from other aliens who want to pave over the whole planet and set up a resort there. Shenanigans ensue.

ALIX

Alix is not usually a human but is tethered to a corporeal form by a string of alien lace around their neck. They are not happy about this situation, do not understand anything about humans, and are trying to figure this all out by themselves. It is slow going but fortunately they have the teenagers they accidentally purposefully gave superpowers to help them out. 

CAROLINE

Caroline is terrifying. 

ERIN

Erin gains the power of electrokinesis but not the power to grow a backbone. She spends most of her time being kicked around by the group or being the meat shield. She is not happy about this but for unknown reasons she's not leaving either. Erin doesn't like to talk about herself and most of her attempts to stand up for herself are just awkward rambling that trail off to "fine but I'm not happy about it". 

SIGIL

Sigil's the tall girl in the middle. Sigil would be the group mom if she weren't uptight and generally unfond of people. Her spoiled upbringing has made her sour towards the peasantry and towards other rich people. In fact, Sigil likes one person, and that is Joel. Other people have a way of fucking things up for Sigil. She's committed to doing just about everything, from sports to academics to being the bitch queen at social events, but all of this is to compensate for the fact that she doesn't care about anything except Joel, around whom she is surprisingly sweet, kind, and open. Sigil is the second most competent fighter in the group.

JOEL

Joel doesn't talk. Sigil translates for him (he taps out things on her arm in morse code, he does know sign language but the former allows them to talk without other people getting involved) and the two of them are thus literally inseparable. Joel is likeable but you have to go through Sigil to get through him, and as a unit they're less likeable. 

BELLA

is arguably the group diplomat because you better believe Alix, the literal alien, knows nothing about aliens and doesn't care about them as a whole. Bella's hobbies include bingewatching television and biking. She is open, bubbly, and excited to be along for the ride.
