Song for the Day: Be Calm by fun.

Well, the better I get at writing, somehow, the more I fall back in love with the classics, again and again. I will never not have a soft, tender spot in my heart for these characters. They are now 12 (Rena) and 7 (Gale) years old, respectively, and I made them as an incredibly small child, but when I was that young, I made a promise to myself that I would not leave them behind. It's the kind of thing that only makes sense to a child, yet somehow, I've found myself holding up my side of the bargain. Sure, I severely doubt Young Chrona would even recognize the characters they've become, because they've grown up with me, snowballing into complicated characters, but I like to think there's a heart there that's carried with me. Hopefully they bring a light to the life of others that can hold a candle to how much they've meant to me. 

The cover of my most recent finished sketchbook, my ninth one. It's... now symbolically relevant for a number of reasons, but it's also just one of the pieces that makes me smile every time I look at it.
