Song for the day: The Night Loop by The Birthday Massacre

(Really just throwing random songs out there right now.)

I don't think you can technically *have* spoilers for a book you never intend to write, but there you have it. Before The Sun Settles Where You Left was post apocalyptic, it was about a world running below and parallel to our own where creatures called sonas unknowingly enacted the lives of their human counterparts. In a more abstract sense they act as we feel things to be, so things are dramatized a little, and if you talk to people over the 'net, your sonas are probably meeting in person. Actually, the internet is probably causing their whole world to go haywire, which would be an excellent catalyst for this book I'm not writing.

Really my friends and I just wanted to do sona fusions and justifying it is kind of silly on the face of it.

Yellow/Aster is just my sona. You can see my body issues absolutely oozing out of this idealized twig of a character, but I digress. Also, I know it's not clear if she's wearing sandals or not in this colorless picture with minimal detail, but Aster does not wear shoes. This is because if I were an incorporeal brainchild the first thing I would do is kick off my clogs and run around barefoot. She also has rabbit pads because apparently things are still sharp in the sonaworld and SOMEONE doesn't have shoes now.

Viscfrost's sona from our sona squad, Red (we all decided to go with colors to make things easier). Red is an alien. Is that a mask or his face? You decide! Also note classy alien tux and slug tail. We had a long discussion about slugs at some point. Their cosmic relevance can not be overstated, here. 

AwsomeDragons (Blue) gets a cute wing cloak and an even cuter haircut.

This is Orange (Red + Yellow). They have four hands for shaping worlds and two hands for creating and destroying them. Their cloak looks akin to a formal tux near the top but tapers out into something else as it goes down. Their design is a little patchy because it takes their slowly regenerable flesh to create life (they can also suck the life out of things to heal themselves up, but it's not 1-to-1), but even when not actively creating things (which they don't do often, instead in manic bursts) they are a powerhouse on their own.

This is Purple (Red + Blue). One slug tail was clearly not enough so here you get two slug dragons. They're extendable and squishy, so basically impervious to all kinds of harm, and friendly, like twin dogs. I was not as involved in the creation/design here so I had no idea what was going on with the clothing but rough sketches are rough sketches and this one was just fun to draw. Also that is DEFINITELY their face and they are very expressive.

Green (Yellow + Blue) Has six wings, all of which are connected by and loosely made of thread, representing the lifestrings of every character in either of our universes. Green fights with threads and 'echoes', that is, similar to Aster, Green can channel characters to use their abilities in battle. However, Green's powers more channel color or element themes utilized by multiple characters, making their every attack a cavalcade of interconnected blows. This usually means that they end up going way, way overboard whenever they need to use magic for something but they're also truly benevolent at heart and harm is rarely if ever the intent.

As a quick bonus, have a picture of Orange and Blue.
