The World Has Always Been Ending has an... interesting supporting cast, owing to the strange nature of its world, and chief among those characters is Blue. Blue appears early in the book as a new girl in a town that hasn't had new people in a while, because no one who goes into the woods comes back. Blue seems to be blissfully unaware of this, and the universe seems to be letting her slide, incredibly enough. As for what her true nature is... well, that's the tricky part. Notorious for her stiff upper lip, she's loved by lesbians everywhere and distrusted by most of the townsfolk, who have no clue what to make of her.
