I am such a big fan of thriller books so thank you foryourgorereads for asking me to review your book I couldn’t wait to start reading it!

Cover:
I think your cover is very fitting for the theme of your story as looking at it instantly makes me think “this must be a thriller story”, the boy in the cover is Xander with his almost half his face not being relapsed and also you’ve managed to capture the exact likeness of Xander as well, he looks exactly as I would’ve imagined him to from the description of his appearance in the book.

Description:
Reading the description made me think “My god, I gotta start reading this book.” That was how well written your blurb is, you’ve got all the necessities of a blurb: short sentences, short paragraphs and simple descriptions of your plot and characters, you haven’t done anything major with it and I love it. The red squiggles on the title also makes it seem like it’s relapsing as well. You’ve managed to sell you story really well and make the reader what to read the content of the book as well.

Storyline:
The gist of the story is that it’s about a world where it’s possible to die and then come back to life and it’s also known as the relapse and then one day the Relapse is removed by a new generation of Restorationists who are killing those who  refuse them, they were about to kill Xander and Malik when unbeknownst to them they have special abilities that saved them from death and along the way they meet others who have special abilities like them and maybe they will be able to Derry the Restorationists. I’ve never read a book with a plot like this before so this was very eye opening to me, I also appreciate that you know the difference between horror and thriller as some people usually get it wrong, all in all this is a very very good storyline, I really like it.

Characters:
Before when the Relapse was still around Xander saw life as being pointless as people could just regenerate whenever they died, however ever since it’s removal his perspective on life had changed quite drastically as now death was possible after his own mother died. The friendship between Malik and Xander is honestly so wholesome I love how much they care for each other and know each other so well that they instantly know what the other means, I can’t imagine how hard it was for them both to have their parents die especially Malik having to watch them die in front of him and then have their blood splash on him as well, so the reason for them getting revenge on the Restorationists is for the death of their parents. Taylor was in love with a girl named Gemini who had a boyfriend, one night Taylor and Gemini were on a walk and they could hear someone scream, Gemini felt bad and wanted to help them whilst Taylor told her not to, however Gemini didn’t listen and rushed off to help the injured person which sadly lead to her death and resulted in Taylor seeking vengeance for her. Sage is actually a Restorationist herself but she’s rebelled against them even her own family because she hates Restorationists and she gathers them into a big group and kills them at first it seems as though she’s tricking them which in a way was true but secretly she wasn’t. All 4 of them have their own unique powers which I think is really cool I liked that you differentiated them from each other.

Grammar/Spelling:
Whilst reading the book I couldn’t find any mistakes at all. None at all, so well done on this area, I just wanted to say that your descriptions are really something else, you really manage to bring your story to life, I feel as though I’m actually in this crazy world.

Engagement of the reader:
I didn’t even realise how much of your story I’ve read. I swear if you didn’t ask me to review your book, I bet you I would’ve come across it and would’ve just read all of the chapters that have been published so far for fun in my free time, I am definitely for sure going to carry on reading it!
