My book review of Rise of the Firstborn
Thank you briizy98 for asking me to review your book, I can definitely say that this is a good story so far and I can’t wait to see where you take it from here, also I can’t wait to meet the first secret character!

Cover:
This is such a pretty cover, did you make it yourself? It’s so good! I love the details on the red lanterns (that’s what I think they are), I love your attention to detail! I’m guessing that at the top of the cover is the Kingdom Axulran and the person at the bottom is Cateline who’s trying to find her way back as she woke up in the woods of a foreign kingdom btw I liked that you added a mist/fog detail on your cover as in the book it is mentioned that the fog is thick which is connected to your story which is why I think your cover goes really well with your book. I’m not gonna lie but I got lost in your cover because I was so mesmerised by it. It truly is very beautiful art.

Description:
You’ve met all the requirements of a good blurb: you got a gripping hook, a small intro to your main character, a brief summary of your storyline and a cliffhanger that leaves the readers wanting to find out more about what happens in the story. Honestly if I was reading your book to review it, I would’ve just started reading it myself in my free time because I going the blurb intriguing and that it made me want to see what happens.

Storyline:
Definitely, definitely a interesting concept, you’ve got a good storyline and all you need to do now is just bring it home. One of my favourite things about your book is that you’ve included maps of the places mentioned in your story (Again, did you make them?) I love how much effort and dedication you’ve put into your story, it’s quite apparent. P.S. I can’t wait to meet the secret characters and see what they look like!

Characters:
Again the artwork of the characters are stunning, I love how they look exactly the same as the way you described them in the story, I swear Cateline looks exactly the same as the way I pictured her to, I can’t wait to meet the rest of the characters! I love that you gave each character their own personality and that they’re all different from each other, not one is like the other, they are just their uniques selves. I cannot wait to meet the other characters and see what they’re like!

Grammar/Spelling:
So far in your story, I couldn’t spot any mistakes as such, I will instead say that your descriptions are absolutely wonderful, you just describe everything so vividly: the setting, the characters’ appearances, the weather and so on it paints such a clear image in my head of what’s happening or what everything would look like.

Engagement of the reader:
Lately I haven’t read a fantasy themed story in a long time, so I was happy to have started reading it again, and I’m glad that the first fantasy book I got to read was yours, it was such a engaging read, there was never a dull moment where you could lose the reader’s focus/attention. All I can say to you now is to keep on writing and updating this book.
