UNKNOWN by girlwithnoinnocence
Here I am once again reviewing another book for girlwithnoinnocence, I’m sure this book is just as good as the last one, as I am a sucker for sad stories
Cover:
I noticed that there’s a little sticker on the cover that says you got second place in a competition, so first of all well done!! Also I like your choice of picture as well, it has a reference to your storyline as he is writing something aka a letter so very good choice. I also love the font you used to write “show yourself will you?” The colour too, as for me pink for me is a romantic colour as well as red.
Description:
Again short and brief and right to the point and once again good choice of quotes extracted from your story, also again well done for getting second place in Crystal Army Awards, you’ve come a long way since the first book that you wrote, you’ve even won a award, well done!!
Storyline:
This story is about a girl named Jiwoon who sends letters to a guy named Namjoon and we even get to see his replies to her letters as well, the letter format you used for your story, I feel as though I’m reading something really personal, like a diary so I really enjoyed it, also I knew as soon as I read the line “Have a great life ahead of you and always know I love you :)” that she was dying I was hoping I was wrong but you just had to prove me right didn’t you.
Characters:
I can’t imagine how hard it was for Jiwoon to keep such a massive secret from Namjoon, and to know that she didn’t have much time left and had to make the rest of her days count, during that time she is shown to be a kind, caring girl. Namjoon is shown in your story as the kind of guy who’s always curious and won’t stop until his questions are answered such as when he was trying to find out Jiwoon’s identity, he’s shown to also be a good boyfriend as well which is depicted through his caring nature. Despite them both having a sad endgame in your story, it was nice that they found each other and that they could both make a lasting impact on each other.
Grammar/Spelling:
Whist reading this story I couldn’t find any mistakes, not one. Although I did have to double check through the whole story again as I was too into reading the story and then crying at the ending.
Engagement of the reader:
It started off as a sweet romantic story which then at the end became a sad tragic love story, so my mood at the beginning was happiness and joy and then it transitioned into sadness and actual crying. So I was pretty invested in this story.
