Jake was walking to Emily's office.

He tried not to think about Sara. He regretted the way he left things with her, but....

Emily was his sister.

But Sara was his girlfriend.

On the other hand, he had only known Sara for a few months.

He had never expected to be in this position, between Emily and Sara. Which was why he tried not to think about it.

He let the door scan him, and walked inside.

"Emily?"

Emily turned her holo-computer off and turned towards him.

"Jake."

"We found Jennifer's location."

"We?"

"Sara."

"Oh." Emily didn't seem angry at the mention of Sara, which was surprising.

"Anyway, our computers found a signal from her tracking device. It was in the main part of the city. You were right, it looks like she is exploring the city."

Emily nodded. She seemed distracted with something else.

"Are you okay?" Jake asked.

"I'm fine. I'm just.... distracted, that's all."

Jake came closer to her, and put a hand on her shoulder. She tensed at the sudden contact, then relaxed.

"You know you can tell me anything, right?"

She nodded.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Sara came over yesterday. To say she was sorry. You didn't send her, did you?"

"No, of course not. She was acting- off the last time I saw her. Do you know why?"

"You really don't know, do you?"

"No."

Emily sighed, then said, "She should tell you herself. It isn't my place to tell you."

Jake tried to figure out what she meant.

After a long pause, Emily said, "I can't believe you don't know."

"Know what?"

"As I said, she should tell you. I'm not even completely sure, but...." She paused. "Sara should tell you, not me." After another pause, she said: "If I could tell you, I would, believe me."

"I know." Jake responded.

They stood there for a few minutes, looking out at the city. Then, Jake walked over to the door and left the room.
