A Dreamlike Life
Thanks to the support of investors, Bon's website started gaining widespread public attention. At that time, both Robin and Bon were only third-year university students, yet they were already famous.
Money from the website poured in continuously, making the two feel dizzy with disbelief. They could never have imagined that one day they would be sitting on a pile of cash. One might think they would take the money and indulge in luxury, but no—the two had to work five, six, even ten times harder, corresponding to the amount of money they earned, to maintain and upgrade the website for their investors.
It was at this moment that Robin finally understood why the truly wealthy kept getting richer—because they had no time to spend the money they made.
Bon was the creator of the website. He found it impossible to balance both work and study, so in the end, he chose to drop out of university to fully focus on his passion for developing the website.
Robin, on the other hand, did not. He knew too well what his past life had been like, and in this life, he was obsessed with education. Even though his academic performance wasn't great, he persisted in attending classes, as long as his grades were just enough to pass. During the day, he went to school; in the evening, he learned technology from Bon, helped with the website, negotiated with clients, and handled customer relations.
The word "effort" was not enough to describe their level of dedication. Twenty-four hours a day was simply not enough. Despite working non-stop, neither of them ever complained. On the contrary, they felt excited as the money kept flooding in.
As the workload increased and the user base grew exponentially, they could no longer manage everything alone. They decided to hire a small team to assist them. Eventually, they rented a small office space as their workplace. But in reality, this office became their second home—where they worked, ate, and slept, doing everything there.
Over time, their office expanded, and the number of employees grew. One night, while working and slurping down instant noodles, Robin suddenly said to Bon:
"Bon, let's start a company!"
Bon, in the middle of eating his noodles, choked and coughed:
"W-what??? A company???"
Robin responded:
"I mean, what we're doing now is no different from running a company. We have employees, we pay salaries, we generate revenue and profit. The only thing missing is a name to solidify our work!"
Bon took a deep breath after finishing his noodles and said:
"I've thought about this too, but honestly, I don't have the courage!"
"I do," Robin said firmly.
"Are you sure? Do you really have that much confidence?"
"I'm sure. If we don't have the motivation to keep going, this office will shut down sooner or later!"
After relentlessly pursuing their careers, the two eventually established their company, naming it after the website—BB. They were no longer just students; they had become co-founders of the company. Bon focused on developing the website, while Robin handled investor relations and partnerships.
In this life, Robin finally understood the value of seizing opportunities and the importance of education. He had knowledge, passion, and wealth. It was as if he had entered the flow of the game—completely different from his previous life.
But there was one thing Robin could never forget: the orange-haired girl. The girl he had encountered in both of his lives—whether as a beggar or as a student—she always appeared at the most unexpected moments. Her eyes were something he could never erase from his memory. He constantly wondered where she was and what she was doing.
On his graduation day, Robin received congratulations from his friends, Bon and Bon's girlfriend, as well as James and a few close business partners. Yet, he still couldn't help but scan the crowd, searching for that familiar figure.
"Could she really not exist in this life anymore?" Robin thought to himself.
No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't find her. It had been so many years now.
Even though she was nowhere to be found, he could never forget her. He was surrounded by many beautiful and talented women, all drawn to his youthful and successful appearance. But deep down, he knew—if he were still a beggar, these same women would have run away without a second thought.
Bon and Robin's company continued to grow, eventually exploding in success. From obscurity, they made it to the top 10, then the top 5, and finally became the leading tech company in the country.
The investors who had bet on them from the beginning had made the right choice, pouring in more and more capital. Bon and Robin's status also skyrocketed. Something they had never imagined—what started as a simple website meant to collect study materials had now turned them into young billionaires.
Their names appeared across newspapers and television screens, a miraculous success story that Robin could hardly believe. Every night before going to sleep, he feared it was all just a dream. The thought kept echoing in his mind:
"How could a beggar like me have accomplished this?"
