Courage

James led the two of them forward, but the five men barely seemed to notice. They had likely grown tired after an entire day without seeing any promising products.

James shook hands with each of them, and their expressions softened slightly. It seemed like they were well-acquainted, which helped ease the tension in the air.

No one knew what James had said, but suddenly, all five men turned their eyes toward Bon and Robin. James gestured for them to step closer, yet for some reason, their feet felt glued to the floor, refusing to move.

Just then, one of the five men approached them.

He was dressed in a blue suit, wore glasses, and had a sturdy build with an air of authority. Extending his hand, he said:

"You two are the creators of that website, right? James told me about it and even let me try it. I must say, it's quite interesting. There aren't many websites like this on the market."

Both of them clumsily shook his hand. Robin leaned toward Bon and whispered:

"Hey, make sure to be extra polite to him! He looks like he's loaded!"

Then, Robin quickly put on his most charming smile, engaging with the man enthusiastically. Fortunately, unlike the other investors from earlier, this man didn't seem to look down on them.

"I don't recall seeing you two present your product," the man said. "I've been sitting here all day, but I never saw your pitch."

"We... we weren't given a chance to present," Bon answered.

"Why not?"

"Because... because..."

Before Bon could stutter further, Robin quickly jumped in:

"Ah... there was a limited number of presentation slots, and we couldn't register in time... So we didn't get the chance to present. But if you'd like, we can do it right here for you!"

The man chuckled lightly and pointed toward the presentation screen.

"Go ahead and present on stage. I'll have the staff put your slides up for you."

At that moment, both Robin and Bon had the same thought:

"This is it. This is our chance!"

They exchanged determined looks, straightened their clothes, and stepped onto the stage together.

Robin's heart pounded like it was about to leap out of his chest. His mouth went dry, and for a moment, he couldn't form a single word.

He had stood in front of crowds before—begging on the streets, getting ignored, scorned, even chased away. Back then, he never cared what people thought. But this was different. The people in this room weren't looking at them with disgust; they were watching with anticipation.

Robin glanced at Bon, who was trembling uncontrollably. There was no way he'd be able to speak first.

Taking a deep breath, Robin squared his shoulders and declared:

"We would like to present BB, our website—our passion project and our greatest achievement."

Bon leaned over and whispered:

"You're not scared?"

Robin smirked.

"We've come this far—there's no turning back now!"

And so, with all the courage they had, they launched into their presentation.

The same two guys who had been ignored the entire day now had the entire room's undivided attention.

By the time they finished, the hall erupted into applause. The sound was deafening. It wasn't just polite clapping—it was genuine recognition. A surge of pride swelled in their chests.

For the first time in their lives, they stood on a stage, basking in a moment they had never dared to dream of.

The man in the blue suit clapped loudly, nodding with approval.

By the end of the conference, it wasn't just him—multiple investors had stepped forward, eager to invest in their website.

Robin had never imagined that he and Bon would walk away with so many lucrative offers.

Before leaving, the man in the blue suit said:

"I have high expectations for this. I believe this will be one of the best investments I've ever made."

Robin and Bon looked at him silently for a moment, then smiled and shook his hand in gratitude.

That night, long past midnight, they finally arrived back at their rental. Without saying a word, they burst through the door and screamed at the top of their lungs:

"WE DID IT! WE ACTUALLY DID IT!!!"

They jumped around, blasted music at full volume, and celebrated like kids, making such a ruckus that their furious neighbors came over to complain.

They kept dancing until exhaustion finally took over.

As they collapsed onto their beds, they didn't even bother to pull up the blankets.

Even in their dreams, they were still smiling.
