Harry's new sky

In this recruitment round, a total of 10 people were selected for the probationary period, including Sapphire's ex-husband—Harry. This was the first time that the terrible husband of Sapphire had come to work, so Robin had arranged everything carefully for him and the other new employees to ensure he had no suspicions.

Among the recruits, one person stood out exceptionally—a woman named Clara. She was not only incredibly beautiful but also highly talented. Her outstanding entrance exam results had impressed the management. She became the center of attention among the new employees, and Robin clearly valued her skills. He showed his appreciation for her openly, which led people to believe that he had feelings for her. Naturally, Clara also expressed admiration and respect for him.

Clara's arrival caused a stir, and many male employees—both new and old—began developing feelings for her. This news quickly reached Bon, and of course, he wouldn't miss the chance to gossip. He walked into Robin's office with a smirk.

"Why do you keep staring at me like that?" Robin asked.

"So, you've got your eye on someone, huh?" Bon teased.

"Who? Me? On whom?"

"That girl... Clary... Clara or something. I heard she's gorgeous and smart, totally your type. I saw her myself—just a little less stunning than my wife!"

Robin burst out laughing.

"There's nothing between Clara and me. People are just making up nonsense!"

"Oh really? You know what people are saying?"

"Yeah, I know... but who cares?"

"You're not denying it too hard, which means you like her! Come on, take your chance and move on. Forget about that orange-haired dream girl of yours!"

Robin frowned and kicked Bon out of the office.

"Let me work in peace! Get out!"

"You little—!" Bon shouted as he was pushed out.

Working at a major corporation like Robin and Bon's company was no easy task. Every day was packed with responsibilities. For someone like Harry, who hadn't worked in a long time, it was an absolute nightmare. By the time he got home each night, he was so exhausted that he had no energy left to bother Sapphire.

Surprisingly, Harry never once ran into Robin at work. He had expected Robin to make things difficult for him, but that never happened. However, he was too drained from work to overthink it.

Despite his struggles, Harry endured. He had now been working at the company for over two months. Thanks to Robin's careful planning, Harry was kept busy enough that he no longer had time to interfere in Sapphire's life. With her newfound peace, she seemed noticeably happier in her new home.

Now, the probationary employees were split into teams to develop a new feature for the company's website. If their project was successful, every member of the winning team would be promoted to full-time staff.

But no one wanted to team up with Harry. His temper was notorious, and everyone feared working with him. When he reported this issue to management, they had to step in, but even then, no one was eager to work with him.

Then, out of nowhere, Harry got lucky. Management assigned Clara to be his partner, forming a two-person team. The male employees were instantly jealous.

Walking through the office, Harry sneered at the people who had refused to work with him. Now that he was paired with the company's shining star, he was confident that he had an 80% chance of securing a full-time position.

Being around someone as beautiful as Clara, Harry unconsciously became more presentable. Her gentle voice and composed way of working slowly warmed his cold heart.

"Look at that smug face of his!" one male employee whispered.

"Yeah, as if he's already won. He better not get too cocky."

Not only did Harry and Clara work closely together during office hours, but they also spent their lunch breaks and overtime sessions together. The two of them were practically a couple in the eyes of their colleagues.

Since Harry had no good relationships with anyone at work, few people knew he was married. Of course, he kept that a secret.

Outside of work, Clara often invited Harry out for meals. When she moved to a new place, she even asked him to help, something he had never once done for Sapphire.

Harry started to believe that Clara had feelings for him. He scoffed at the office rumors about Clara and Robin.

"There's no way she likes a guy like him," he thought.

Slowly but surely, his delusions grew. In his mind, Clara preferred him over Robin.

Day by day, Harry found himself more and more flustered whenever he looked into Clara's eyes. He realized, to his own surprise, that he had fallen for her.

But he also knew that Sapphire was an obstacle. He wasn't confident enough to confess to Clara because of it.

One day, he saw Clara walking beside Robin, laughing happily. A deep jealousy burned inside him. But since they were at work, he couldn't act recklessly. Instead, he stormed up to Clara, grabbed her hand, and pulled her away, shocking everyone—including Robin.

Bon stood nearby and muttered:

"Do they think this company belongs to them or what?"

Harry dragged Clara to the back of the company, where few people passed by. Then, he took a deep breath and finally confessed:

"I like you!"

Clara smirked. She flipped her hair to one side and responded:

"Hmm... I only date men who are serious about marriage. Are you willing to commit?"

Harry hesitated.

"You... only date men who are serious about marriage?"

"Yes. You don't seem very serious about me... Forget it."

Clara turned to leave, but Harry panicked. At that moment, he suddenly remembered Sapphire.

For a brief second, he didn't want to divorce her.

But if he gave up on Clara, he would regret losing such a beautiful and talented woman. Plus, he needed Clara for his project—she was his ticket to becoming a full-time employee.

After calculating his options, Harry made his decision and quickly replied:

"Of course, I'm serious about marriage! How could I ever let go of someone as amazing as you?"

Clara suddenly burst out laughing. Harry had never seen her laugh so freely before, so he chuckled along with her.

She stepped closer, adjusted his tie, and whispered:

"You think very highly of yourself. You always want the best for yourself... but I actually like that. Alright, let's date."

Just as he expected, Clara liked him. Harry's delusions grew stronger.

As Clara walked away, she suddenly turned back and added:

"Oh, I forgot to mention... I'm a perfectionist. If I ever find out you're hiding something from me, you'll pay the price."

Her words sent a chill down Harry's spine. It felt as if she could read his darkest secrets.

Still, he quickly put on a confident smile and lied without hesitation:

"What could I possibly hide from you? You're overthinking things!"

Clara smirked, then disappeared into the distance.
