The Unexpected Call
After several sleepless nights, it seemed like Ron and Robin's advertisements had started to gain traction. Their ads frequently appeared at the top of users' feeds, ensuring that every time someone opened the website, they would see them.
Perhaps it was the affordable prices and the delicious-looking food images that caught users' attention. Many people began interacting with the images and posts, expressing interest in visiting the lunch spot. The numbers kept growing, and the comments under the posts increased continuously.
Less than a week after launching the ads, Robin and Bon received a call from the restaurant owner. Before they could even pick up, they heard laughter on the other end:
"Your advertising is really effective! More and more customers are coming to my restaurant. Thank you so much!"
Robin and Bon were overjoyed, grinning as they congratulated the restaurant owner. But they didn't forget the promise he had made:
"So... do you want to continue advertising as we agreed?" Robin asked.
The owner laughed heartily:
"Of course! Without you guys, I would have had to shut down. I'll pay for another month of advertising—just name your price!"
Robin and Bon jumped with excitement. Their first business deal had succeeded exactly as Robin had hoped.
From that moment on, their plan became much easier. Since the restaurant owner had succeeded using their method, it became easier to persuade other businesses to advertise.
The restaurant became so popular that the owner had to hire extra staff and even set up a delivery service to handle online orders.
News of Robin and Bon's website spread quickly. Many small shop owners and business owners began approaching them, asking to book advertisements.
Robin and Bon stared at the pile of cash in front of them in disbelief. Robin picked up a few bills, counting them with a dazed look. Never in his life had he earned so much money.
Although he was passionate about making money, he realized something else—he had grown to love reading. He read books not just for knowledge but to find more ways to expand their success. Combining his past life experiences with the business strategies he learned, he saw the website's unlimited potential. He turned to Bon and said:
"We can't limit our users to just students. If we do, we'll only be able to advertise products meant for students."
"But what's the plan? We're already making a lot of money." Bon replied.
"No, we have to make even more. We have to take control of this game."
Bon looked at Robin for a moment, recognizing the ambition in his eyes. But deep down, Bon had the same goal—to make money.
Now, their biggest challenge was figuring out how to attract more users. Their network wasn't big enough, and no investors had shown interest in helping them.
One day, as they sat in class, half-asleep, a sudden phone call broke the silence. Bon groggily picked up:
"Hello?"
"Hello, is this the number of the person who manages the website?"
"Yes, that's me!"
"Are you the creator of this website?"
"That's right! I built it."
"Has your website received any investment yet?"
Bon froze at the question, feeling wary. Was this some kind of scam? After a pause, he hesitantly replied:
"Uh... no... why?"
The caller responded in a calm and confident tone:
"I've used your website, and I think it's amazing. Can we meet in person to discuss it? I think you'll find what I have to say very interesting."
By now, Bon had put the phone on speaker so Robin could listen. Bon turned to Robin, waiting for his reaction.
Without hesitation, Robin spoke into the phone:
"Alright, when do you want to meet?"
"How about tomorrow at 5 PM?"
"Sounds good." Robin replied.
After the call ended, Bon frowned.
"Why did you agree so quickly? What if it's a scam?"
Robin smirked.
"What do we have to lose? It's just a meeting. If it doesn't work out, we move on."
"But I—"
"No buts! Let's go and see what he has to say."
Robin had a strong gut feeling that this man was about to bring them an opportunity they couldn't ignore. There was no way he had appeared by chance.
