𝔚𝔦𝔱𝔥 𝔭𝔲𝔯𝔢 𝔦𝔫𝔱𝔢𝔫𝔱, 𝔥𝔢 𝔰𝔱𝔯𝔦𝔭𝔭𝔢𝔡 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶-❞ Ms. Stewart suddenly hesitated as loud ringing echoed through the room at a per second interval; it pounded against her skull, deafening the surrounding sounds, so loud she could not even hear her hand slam the book in front of her closed.

"- Well, I know this isn't a drill guys but I expect to see you and the outlines of your essays Monday morning," Ms. Stewart stated to the students' dismay, "Oh, quit your groaning, it's just the outline- how hard is that? I really need y'all to finish the book this weekend too, since our lesson's been cut extremely short, it's just twelve pages- I at least want you to have another option for your essays rather than the 'God of Strength' book from the past two weeks."

"I think I'm gonna stick to the Injustice Superman one, Miss Stewart- The Trigon one feels a little bit 'too soon' don't yuh' think? ...And at least we actually won against bad Superman." Eddie shrugged, picking up his satchel.

"Parker, you want to get an A in Criminology?" Ms. Stewart pressed as Eddie nodded, "Then I suggest you leave that moral bullshit at the door- the only feelings you get to express are the ones' coming off of those criminals, in writing."

Ms. Stewart grabbed her bag and threw on a face mask. She looked around the class at the fifteen students staring at her, "Please stay like this," She silently prayed to herself before forcing open a drawer from under her desk and grabbing a gun. She cocked it and took a deep breath, "Class dismissed."

The students scrambled out the door, all except for one, "You are so dramatic." Bart chuckled, leaning on his desk.

"Allen, what do you expect? There were twenty-five of you, just in this class, three weeks ago." Ms. Stewart countered.

"...They were careless." Bart stated with a furrowed brow.

"Careless or not, sweetie, nobody deserves to die," Ms. Stewart opined, holding her hip, "All these stuck-up, rich kids don't know shit about survival- they think money solves everything...that's where people like you and I come in."

"...God, I hate being us, Lynn." Bart sighed, palming his face.

"Just get suited, speedster- we' ain't got all day," Ms. Stewart smirked, heading for the door.

"Where you heading to first?" Bart asked, slipping on his costume ring and following behind.

"This shit's probably going down on Weber's World, I bet the team's already up there," Lynn explains as Bart nods, "I think, you and I should head to one of the De Facto tubes, just to make sure there's no funny business; last time the IC Resistance had some of their members cracking open people's skulls and ripping out their chips just to get to the fortress."

"Heard about that," Bart mumbled, scratching the back of his head, "Dunno' what's scarier, the fact that those LuthorBots just watched ... or that they let them through anyway."

"SuperBots. Don't let Lex catch you slippin'." Lynn warned, as they walk through a deserted hallway.

Somewhere in Space...

They flew a good distance away before Jessica looked back at the mobile planetoid that once, with a smile on behind her mask as a huge silent but thunderous, bright blast drew the sparkle in her eye. Shards of rubble floated away and she could feel the scorching heat pressure against her skin, yet no pain or injury because the ring was protecting her.

"**Starfire to League, we have successfully infiltrated and taken down Warworld... <sighs> Warworld is down- Repeat, Warworld is down, **" Kori exclaimed into her comm, looking back at Jessica, "** Orion, Mister Miracle and Martian Manhunter have Madame Rouge and should be currently on their way to Weber's World to meet with President Wazzo. Cyborg and Shazam used the boom tube to get to the phantom zone and confirmed Mongul is still there. **"

...

"****It shouldn't have been that easy. ****" A gravelly voice remarked as the two girls looked at each other confused.

"**...It's the only threat we received, Bruce- I've had almost every planet's sector confirm Ground Control. We stand down. **" Starfire disputed.

"**** All except for Earth's De Facto. Luthor's not even on Weber's World with the rest of the Inner Council-

"****That's because he's with me. ****" A heaving voice transmission interrupted.

"**Sister, are you alright? **" Starfire worried, clutching onto her earpiece.

Earth, De Facto City- Golden Gate Sector, Camp Boon

A green force blasts Blackfire through a wall and into debris as she quickly regains her strength, in a crouching pose.

"**The old Bat is right, sister- Whoever forged this attack is doing something bigger beyond our vision. **" Blackfire attested, looking up at the Tamaranian mutant, Orn, as it lunged toward her, savagely flailing its bear claws around. Using all her might, through her dark energy star bolt blasts, she sent it stumbling back... but it quickly regained consciousness, mirroring her action and blasting her through another wall: straight into The Vault room, "**They have a Tamaranian Suicide-Soldier. **"

"Maybe if you let me out of here, I could be of assistance, rather than you slowly burying us alive!" Mr. Luthor yelled through the vault door.

"**** Why are you with Luthor? I thought I instructed Donna to handle his safety. ****" Starfire argued.

"**Bruce had me onsite minutes after the alarm went off at Head Office- he found surveillance footage showing that following Luthor's De Facto-Soldier Inauguration, one of the guards collapsed and began to have a seizure thirty minutes after receiving his Cerebrum Chip. **" Blackfire explained.

"****>Why is that a problem? <****" Jessica asks in the background.

"**For soldiers, the chip is cheaper quality**" Blackfire imparted, kicking a wooden table at Orn; immediately breaking to pieces upon impact of its body.

"****It's a Metal Disc made from Chromium. ****" Bruce answered.

"****...A Tamaranian allergen. ****" Starfire added.

"**My question is why is it affecting it the way it is? **" Blackfire wondered, clenching her fist as the power surged through her- Orn charged at her again and this time she gave it an uppercut that sent it through the south story roof and into the north story rooftop swimming pool.

"****Other angles showed the guard stumble to a room. The next time we see him, he's mutated and running rampant with a hole in its' forehead- my best guess is he tried to get it out using laser heat and melted it onto his cerebrum. ****" Bruce explained.

"****Enchanted charm?...Wonder Woman and The Question took Brother Blood and his Church members into custody-

"****No lead. They've been interrogating them for some time now. Seems like they don't even know what this thing is. ****" Bruce interjected.

"****Then why isn't Diana the one telling me this? ****" Starfire wondered.

"**We don't want them to think we're onto them. **" Blackfire concluded with a long distance leap to the rooftop pool. She watched its' unconscious body float in the water before its' fiery glowing eyes shot open and it tried to swim out – she placed her hand in the water and with a powerful sonic-wave yell "No." she burnt out its' flame and boiled it alive with her starbolt, "**I'll get Luthor to Weber's World and meet you at the House of Mystery in under ten. Over and out. **"

Somewhere in Space...

Starfire sighs to herself, removing her hand from her earpiece.

"Still gonna' count this as one of my most badass moments," Jessica chuckled, "So, shall I summon it?"

"Go. I need to get to De Facto first," Starfire stated, flying away, "**Starfire to Batman, we need to regroup... something's wrong. **"

"**** ... ****"

"**Starfire to Superman...**"

"**** ... ****"

"**Starfire to any Leaguers in De Facto? **" Starfire panicked, stopping midflight.

"**** Yello? ****"

"**Oh, thank X'Hal- Bart, is everything alright? **" Starfire breathed.

Earth, De Facto City – Skid Row, Neighborhood East Side

"**Yeah- Everything seems okay down here. Chimera and I caught these two guys trying to rob people's houses while everyone was rushing to get in line. But it's... it's pretty chilled on the east side. **" Bart Explained to Starfire, looking back at Chimera.

"**** Great, that's great. The Titans need to meet and compare notes, but I can't get through to Conner or Dick-

"**No worries- I'll head their way now. Over and out. **" Bart blurted, speeding away, "Meet yuh' at the tower, Cee!"

"'kay." Chimera nonchalantly waved as the men tied up tried to hop away.

Somewhere in Space...

"**Wait, Bar-< sighs> **" Starfire huffed.

"**** He's just excited, and I don't blame him- there's been little to no action down here. What was the threat? ****"

"**Hey Boomer, that's what we need to discuss- Every titan should head to the Tower ASAP. **" Starfire repeated.

Earth, De Facto City- Commercial Junction, West Side

"**Copy that. **" Boomer replied, releasing his finger from the earpiece and nodding to Pantha, "Let's get moving people- Clear out the building and get home safe!"

Venus, Vultite- Wayne Security, Meeting Room

"**Affirmative. **" Terra responded to Starfire. She glanced at Jaime as he morphed into Blue Beetle.

"You must tend to something urgently?" Queen Desira questioned, walking into the room with Zatanna.

"Yes, but we will be back in time for your address this evening, your excellency," Zatanna vowed, walking over to an empty part of the room, "Eht yaw eht emit si won, eno nac ylpmis klaw hguorht- nepo a rood hguorht emit dna ecaps!" She cast as a portal opened and the three walked through.

Hovering Mercury- Medicus One, Medical Facility

"**On our way. **" Roy replied to Starfire, looking back at Red Hood sitting at the front desk with his feet propped up, drinking a Zesti Cola, "Everybody gone?"

"All, except that guy from 0h-6-5," Jason yawned, getting up from his seat and slipping his helmet back on, "He's being a real voidhole about it."

"I refuse to go! It's all a conspiracy!" An old man yelled from a room at the end of the hallway, behind the two men.

"I say, fuck em'." Jason shrugged, heading for the exit.

"<sighs> Mister Taylor, please- we can't leave you here by yourself!" Roy tried to reason as Jason turned on his heels, rolling his eyes behind his mask.

"Call my son George to pick me up, tell him I got a good headliner for the world!" He exulted.

"Is it dementia? Cause' I'm pretty sure he's George." Jason wondered.

"Senior. His son worked with Oliver at the Daily Star years back... don't even know if he's still alive after Crisis," Roy whispered.

"How about we do you one better, mister Taylor? We'll take you to him ourselves." Jason persuaded.

"Where?" Roy quizzed.

"The tower- We'll just sedate him."

Takron-Galtos- Prison Yard

"**Heard, Kori. **" Tempest answered, looking up at Jericho helping a prisoner in handcuffs into a spacecraft.

"Eh! Eh- watch the hands, buddy!" The prisoner complained.

Jericho looked back at Tempest and signed 'Not Done.' to him as Tempest took a glimpse of the twenty-plus alien prisoners still making their way to the ground floor.

"I know, but it sounds urgent." Tempest concurred, just as Courtney flew in on her cosmic staff.

"Sixth, fifth and fourth floors are clear." She heeded to Tempest's earlier instruction.

"Where's the Justice League?! We don't even know you people!" A prisoner yelled,

"We can't even see this one's face!" Another pointed out, staring at Jericho's head-to-toe covering, white Ikon suit.

"Shut it, Winslow!" Officer Zendak warned, "We'll finish up here, team- Go." He assured, placing his hand on Tempest's shoulder.

"Thanks." Stargirl smiled as he winked at her.

"For the last time, It's TOYMAN!" The prisoner tried correcting an ignorant Kimball who kept his focus on Courtney boarding the T-Jet.

Earth, De Jure City- Jeanne-Chu Avenue, East Side

"**En route. **" Tim ensured Starfire, stepping on the gas pedal of the Batmobile as Stephanie strapped on her seatbelt, and he took a sudden 180-degree turn-

"WOAH, MAN!" Static exclaimed, sliding across the backseat, face-first into the window.

Mars [Ma'aleca'andra]- South Gate

"**Seriously?! We literally just got here. **" Beast Boy whinged, flouncing back to the zeta-tube.

"Fall back, guys." Jayna instructs, turning back.

Katana nods and puts away her sword as Zan runs to catch-up with his sister.

"Damnit! At this point we just need to accept that the League is better than us," Elongated man ranted, "I also owe Plastic Man five dollars now."

Capitol Planet, New California- Devil's Canyon, Mayo Madness Food Truck near Zeta-Tube 008

"**Schah-weet! **" Thirteen-year-old, Miguel Montez, rejoiced to Starfire's instruction- jumping out from behind the cash register, through the main window, "Gotta take a whiz, uncle Brant!" He lied to his uncle as he grabbed his backpack from underneath the truck.

Uncle Brant responded by peeking his head out.

"Let's go, Summer!" He beamed, pushing past the older teen as she wiped down a picnic table.

"Wait for me! I'm coming!" She answered with glee, taking off her apron and tossing it on the bench.

"Wait, both of you?!" Uncle Brant doubted, pointing his spatula at them.

"It's a best friend thing!" Miguel countered, pulling out the H-Dial from the pocket of his backpack.

"By now, he probably thinks I'm influencing you to do bad things." Summer breathed out, jogging around the corner.

"Or that we're dating." He cheekily grinned, glancing at her as he rotated the dial to 'J' that created a spark; zapping the ground.

The ground tore open and with a "No chance, junior." She smiled, jumping into it.

"Oh, come on!" He whined, following suit as the tear zipped closed.

...

"...Well, alright- You' got ten minutes or its cleaning mayo traps for the both of you!" Uncle Brant yelled to nothing, squinting his eyes.

"I'm a tax-paying citizen and this is the type of food you serve me?! These 'Mayo Fries' were abysmal!" A woman interrupted, coming into his view flailing a food box in her hand.

"...Well lady, I don't see anyone else running a foodtruck during evacuation time." He argued, pushing her hand away with his spatula.

"You're lucky there's no security around here." She spat, glaring at him.

"I'm also lucky I don't do refunds- Now get!" He threatened, shooing her away as she stomped back to the Evacuation Line.

Dooley-8 - Lil One Lung's Cigar Bar, Spittoon Museum, and Discount Chemo Therapy

Wally released his finger from the earpiece and sighed, scratching his unkempt beard.

He sat on a cheap bar stool, in a row of aliens just as shabby as he- grabbing the beer mug in front of him and chugging what was left.

"Yo, One Lung!" Wally called out to the Changralynian sitting at a booth surrounded by female Karnans. The alien looked up and smiled as the females around him enthusiastically waved goodbye.

Wally got up, turning his mug over and slid it to the barman, "Belusen chaness." He winked to the bartender's oblige, "Let's go, Kyle."

"How'd you learn their language before me? I've known this place longer." Kyle arrogantly wondered, catching up to Wally.

"I didn't. I learnt two words that mean 'I came with the guy sitting next to me'," He shrugged, "Cabbie, we need a ride."

"Sure thing, Mister Flash." A jovial boy, standing by the jukebox answered, throwing on his ivy hat.

They exit the bar- "Three men walk out of a bar... hmm, never heard the joke in reverse." Icicle Jr. interrupts, reaching his glowing hand out at them.

"<gasps> It's Icicle Junior!" Cabbie panicked hiding behind Kyle.

"We want access to your pods, now." Tigress commanded, coming into view with a crossbow directly aimed at Wally's heart.

To his surprise, Wally couldn't help but glance at her latex suit clinging to her bulging stomach, "Do I look like I've been chipped?" He replied, holding his hands up in defeat.

"...How are you here then?" Tigress countered, trying to cover her abdomen with her free arm.

"Speedster, babe- I'm everywhere." He smirked.

"Do not call her 'Babe'." Icicle junior warned as a dense fog emitted from his body, and the outline of blue glowing and bulging veins grew on his skin.

"Look. This is the stupidest place to look for chipped anybody honestly- It's a floating dump! The best you can get is previously damaged, reconfigured chips One Lung gets from Galactic Bounty Hunters in exchange for beer," Wally confessed to them as Tigress held Icicle jr.'s arm back, "They're faulty and he'll probably charge you a shit load of credit you probably wasted coming here to one of the 'cheapest planets'," Wally condemned, walking passed them as the other men followed hesitantly, "If I were you, I'd strike a deal with anything you have... starting with that crossbow, Art-Tigress."

... "...Wally, please."

Wally suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned back slowly as Tigress stood there with her weapon pointed to the ground and her head tilted downward and slightly to the side; She was embarrassed to ask for help from him.

"...<sighs> Look, I knew you were going to be here- word got out, amongst the bad guys, that you've been coming here sin-since Barry died." Tigress explained.

"Pssht, that explains all the past bar fights." Kyle bluntly reminded, "I was starting to think you were starting these fights yourself." He chuckled looking at Wally.

"<Sighs> We just need a place to lay low till the second alarm goes off." Icicle Jr. exasperated.

"I mean, prisoners do get free entry- maybe just bring up your criminal record and you'll be peachy." Kyle smiled.

"...Fine." Wally finally spoke, looking at Tigress.

"Really?" Kyle questioned, surprised. Tigress nodded to Wally and they all proceeded to the parking lot.

"You realize, if Linda sees her she'll be pissed, and Alex will be just as pissed because I allowed it when you're on my watch, West." Kyle semi-yelled to Wally beside him as they passed Ed's Rod n' Bike Shop.

"Well, well- if it ain't the physical embodiment of how the mighty have fallen," An intimidatingly familiar voice spoke, stepping out of the shop, "Eh Gonzalez, lend me three hundred credits for my bike and we can toss yer ex old man in ye'olde Lazarus pit; heard you can find that shit anywhere these days."

They all ignored him and kept walking.

"Eh! The Main Man's talking ta-

"Frag off, Lobo." Wally dared.

"oOOWHAAAT?!" He raged, pulling out his shotgun and shooting an array of bullets at the back of the Flash.

A clearly irritated Wally took a deep breath as everything around him suddenly slowed down. It was as if time had no construct. He glanced at his sides as Tigress slowly pushed Icicle Junior aside and turned to point her crossbow at Lobo, simultaneously, Kyle did the same with Cabbie but instead with a green shield forming from the lantern ring that would only stop a few bullets in real time. He turned and looked at the three bullets, past the shield, that would have easily pierced him in the neck, head and spine, instantly killing him if he were normal... but he's not.

He accelerated his hand to match the speed of the bullets and grabbed them all. Then decelerating his hand and the bullets to the speed of his body, he simply walked up to a frozen-in-time, menacingly-looking Lobo and stuffed as many bullets, facing back, into the gun as he possibly could, with the rest of them, he placed in the direction of sensitive areas to Lobo's body.

He walked back and passed Kyle and Tigress, in the direction of the Taxi as time suddenly sped back up to normal.

A comical 'BAARooM!' sound went off behind Wally as a smoke cloud followed.

Kyle's green shield retracted and the blood that splattered on it a second ago, splashed to the ground. He looked back at Tigress lowering her weapon, both in shock, and they all looked back at Wally waving to them by the taxi.

"Maghin'! Fraggin' ta Zzaraak!" Lobo's decapitated head growled in Czarnian.

"Did yuh' have to destroy his communicator too?" Green Lantern objected, moving away from Lobo's mutilated arm that was near his renowned Chain and Hook.

"Hurts less when you don't know what he's actually saying." Wally shrugged.

Icicle Jr. kicked at the only part of the blown-up shotgun left but immediately clutched his foot in pain at how heavy it was- "CHE-AHHH!"

"We should probably leave fast; Lobo doesn't take long to regenerate." Tigress stated.

Reaching the car, they started to pile up in the backseat- "Umm, Miss Tigress, I still kinda go by the covid policy... So, uh, women with child should sit in the passenger's seat, please." Cabbie instructed.

Tigress nods, getting to the front.

"Hurry up, please!" Icicle Jr. fretted, staring out the back window.

"Thought Lobo had the whole speed thing too." Kyle speculated, squishing between Icicle Jr. and Wally.

"Yep, but he doesn't think before he does." Wally admitted, as Cabbie drove off-planet.

"ssfazZINN RED ONEE!"

Earth, De Jure City- Titans Tower, North

"Yo, Raven- Team meeting inside! You still meditating?" Brick wondered walking into the greenhouse.

Raven didn't respond as it seemed she was deep in meditation; cross-legged and hovering inches away from the floor with her eyes closed.

Brick stood in front of her, bending to her level, and waving his hand in her face- "Hellooo?"

Suddenly, her head started twitching left and right, as she began to recite an incantation in an unknown language.

"Raven?! Are you alright?!" Brick worried, trying to shake her out of it, but no luck, she only got louder.

"Shhh." He heard looking behind him as his fellow Titan-in-training, Stitch, appeared. It pointed at her glowing gem and Brick took a closer look.

"Is it... cracking?"

Suddenly, her eyes shot open-

"It's him."

Earth, De Facto City- Mainland

Bart relaxed as he slowed down.

He looked around and to no one's surprise, the streets looked trashed and abandoned.

It was so quiet; he could only hear the wind whistling... it was unsettling, but he had to remember nothing should be off as De Facto has always been rundown.

He noticed something in his peripheral; a glowing green light emitting from an old building. It was flashing.

He sped to its location and quickly spotted it on the floor. He removed his glove and picked it up.

But which Green Lantern could it have belonged to? Bart thought.

He salvaged what other tiny pieces of the ring he could find on the floor but all that rendered useless when he got startled by a loud bang in the opposite direction, dropping its entirety in all directions.

He ran out of the building to follow the sound but immediately slipped upon exiting, into a pool of blood. He reacted fast, flittering away from it.

He got up slowly and his mouth gaped as far as it could- Dead bodies covered an entire street... More than fifty... no hundreds. He didn't hesitate to call it in but the second his finger touched the earpiece, it sparked, causing him to rip it off.

The fear in him was so loud it blocked the sound of beams and grunts in the background of where he stood. He shook his head and ran to it, immediately recognizing the sounds of Conner and Dick, who sounded like they were in trouble...

And for sure, they were...

He was slow to react before-
