"So, I was thinking of doing a 'boys night' this weekend, with the boys-" Tommy asked, "Sounds good?"

It was the next morning, and they were walking their usual route to school. Toby still felt tired, which made sense considering everything last night, but at least the headache had gone away for the most part.

"Sure big man-" he nodded, "sounds good-"

They arrived at their usual cafeteria table, and were soon joined by Ranboo, who looked like he'd had a worse night than Toby had, nervously fiddling with his fingers.

"You alright Ranboo?" Tommy asked, raising an eyebrow, "You look terrible-"

"Y-yeah, I'm fine, just had a bad night yesterday...that's all" the tall boy nodded.

At that moment, they were interrupted by Quackity. Toby took the opportunity to glance at him, questioningly. Had yesterday's news spooked him too? Ranboo glanced back and shook his head. Later... Toby caught on and nodded, before tuning back into the others' conversation.

The bell rang after a little, and the six of them made their way to homeroom. Ranboo, Toby, and Tommy made their way to Mr. Nook's room, Tommy chattering about one thing or another, oblivious to whether the other two were actually listening or not. Sam smiled at them as they entered.

"Morning guys!"

"Morning Sam!"

"Good Morning Mr. Nook!"

The three of them smiled back, sitting down and talking until the first period bell rang, and they were off. Ranboo and Tommy were out the door before him, but before he could follow, Sam gestured him over to his desk. He made his way over, and must have had a confused expression on his face, because Sam chuckled.

"Don't worry, you're not in trouble, and I don't plan on keeping you for long. I just wanted to say that I'm really proud of you and Tommy for kind of taking Ranboo under your wing...he's come out of his shell a lot since meeting you two. You made this 'new kid' process so much easier for him."

Toby wasn't entirely sure what to say, but he smiled sheepishly, "It's really no trouble, he's a good guy, I'm just glad we got to befriend him.."

Same nodded sagely, "Right...well, that's all I wanted to say, don't want you to be late to class."

Toby nodded, "Uh, yeah! Thank you!"

His teacher smiled and waved him off.

The rest of his classes up until lunch were pretty normal. Once their group of friends were all there, Tommy began talking.

"Alright men! I think a boys night is in order this weekend, yes?"

"Ooh, yeah!" Karl nodded, "That's a great Idea!" The others nodded, except for Ranboo, who looked confused,

"Boys night?"

"Oh yeah, you've never been-" Toby said, "it's basically just our friend group going to someone's house, eating pizza, watching movies, and playing games until late"

"Oh yeah, i haven't really done one of those before-"

"Well that's gonna change amigo" Quackity grinned, giving the tall boy a thumbs up.

"Dude, what happened to your arm?" Purples asked, glancing over.

Toby hadn't noticed before, but now that Purpled has mentioned something, he noticed Quackity's arm had bandages wrapped around it, peeking out from his jacket sleeve.

"Oh this? My dumbass accidentally burned myself while cooking the other night" Quackity waved it off, "It's just a little burn, no big deal...do we know who's hosting?"

"Are you able to Big Q? We did it last time-" Tommy asked

"Nah, sorry Tommy..." Quackity sighed, "you know my parents don't like having strangers over.."

"Your parents are buzzkills-" Purpled grumbled, "and we're not strangers, we're your friends! It's not our fault we've never met them-"

"It's alright, I can host guys-" Karl offered

"Excellent-" Tommy grinned, turning to Ranboo, "I will give you the address, since you probably don't know where that is. Since you're the newbie you're in charge of snacks alright?"

"Uhh-" Ranboo nodded, though he looked unsure. He glanced at Toby, who gave him a thumbs up, which seemed to reassure him. "Yes!"

"Good" Tommy nodded seriously, "Don't fuck it up-"

"Anyhow-" Karl interrupted, "lunch ends soon. Meet at the park to discuss who brings what?"

The rest of them nodded, finishing their food before the bell rang.

The rest of the school day passed without trouble, and soon the six boys were at the park, discussing who would bring what. Karl was hosting. Ranboo was on snack duty, Quackity got drinks, Purpled was in charge of video games, which left Toby and Tommy on Movie duty. Simple enough. Soon after, they started messing around, joking and laughing. It all came to a head with Toby getting chased by Purpled.

"Christ you're fast!" His friend grunted.

Toby laughed, glancing back, "maybe you're just slow-"

However, when he turned back, he saw people in front of him, but he couldn't stop- he crashed into a tall figure with wavy brown hair and sunglasses, causing him to fall on his butt and the person to stumble.

"Shit, I'm sorry-" he said, rubbing his head and pushing himself up, "My fault, I wasn't looking-"

"It's alright dude, don't worry about it-" the tall person said, smiling kindly, "Really-"

"Toby?" One of their friends said, and Toby saw Niki, next to a redhead with a black hat. Were these her classmates? Friends? Both?

"Hey Niki!" Toby grinned, "Funny running into you here-"

Purpled ran up to him, "Dude, you good?"

He nodded, "yeah, all good- I've got a hard head-"

He glanced back at Niki and her friends, "This is my friend Purpled! Our other friends are over here, follow me!"

He jogged back to the others, Niki and her friends in tow.

"Hey guys! There's someone I want you to meet!" He called as he approached them

"Hello, who are you?" Tommy raised an eyebrow at the newcomers.

"I'm Niki! I'm a friend of Toby's-" She smiled, "And these are my friends Eret and Fundy-"

She gestured to each one in turn.

"Hello-" the tall one, Eret, grinned and waved, while Fundy offered a shy wave. He seemed nervous around them.

"Nice to meet you two!" Toby grinned, "This is Tommy, Ranboo, Quackity, Karl, and I introduced Purpled"

He pointed to each friend as he said their name, and they each waved or said hi-

"Nice to meet you guys too-" Niki grinned

"You guys are college students, right?" Karl asked curiously

"Yup!" Eret nodded, "We're all studying different things, but we go to the same campus."

"Cool-" Karl nodded

The two groups say and talked for a little, before Eret asked,

"So, you two are friends?" They gestured to Niki and Toby, "How'd you meet?"

All their friends turned to them, oh crap- his brain seemed to freeze. He should have thought ahead for this-

"Oh, uh-" Niki started, glancing at her friends "Well, you guys remember that night I got in trouble? I got away because Toby helped me out, if he hasn't stepped in things could have been a lot worse-"

He stared at her, before nodding, "uh, y-yeah! That's how we met" he chuckled sheepishly, "It was uh, no trouble..really-"

Their friends looked a little shocked, some more than others.

"Well done big man!" Tommy grinned, "I've taught you well huh?"

Toby chuckled, still a bit nervous, but a little less so now. "Yeah yeah-" he wasn't going to specify anything, saying he helped her out seemed to be good enough for now...

The two friend groups continued to talk for a while, discussing interests and such. After a bit, he started feeling a small headache coming on, which made him grimace. They were becoming a usual thing these days for him.

"You alright?" Karl asked, glancing at him.

"Yeah, just a headache coming on is all...I've been getting them a lot lately, it'll go away in a bit.." he reassured him.

"Maybe we should head out then?" Purpled suggested, "Rest would do you good, that always helps me when I get a headache-"

"Maybe-" Toby nodded, glancing at Niki and friends, "It was really nice meeting you!!"

"Nice seeing you Toby..." Niki smiled, and Toby and Tommy got up. The others started talking, having found some common ground and stiff, though before they left, Toby felt a poke on his shoulder and turned. Fundy was there, looking timid.

"Uh, thank you..." he said softly, glancing at Niki before meeting Toby's eyes. He really seemed to care about his friends...Toby was a little bit shocked he spoke at all.

"Oh, don't mention it dude...I did what anyone would do in that situation...." He said

Fundy shook his head, "Not everyone...still, thank you..."

Toby nodded, waving to him and the others before jogging to catch up with Tommy.
