That morning, his headache had subsided, and he luckily wasn't awakened by a pillow to his face. Tommy was already up, he could hear him brushing his teeth in the bathroom, so he started getting dressed. After a bit the two of them started downstairs for leftover muffins. School was closer than Purpled's house, so they were able to walk there.

"The party was awesome!" Tommy grinned as they walked, before shoving the chocolate chip muffin he'd grabbed for the road in his mouth.

Toby chuckled, "Yeah, it was an interesting night huh?" His mind wandered back to Schlatt, and Niki. He hoped she had made it home ok...he felt bad for just running away, but in his defense he had been panicking. But still...

Tommy nodded, and they made their way to school. The building was older than Phil, which according to Tommy made it as old as time itself. It was made of brick, and the only modern things in the classrooms were the air conditioning and the new screens some of them had. Several lights were constantly flickering or out entirely. The boys made their way to the cafeteria, which was probably the third largest room after the gym and the auditorium, in search of their friends. After scanning the room, which already had groups of people at every other table, they saw their friends huddled together, Quackity and Karl leaning over Purpled's shoulder as they watched something on the latter's phone. All three had looks of awe on their faces.

"Good day men!" Tommy said loudly, grinning as he and Toby approached the three.

"What are you guys watching? You looked pretty invested-" Toby asked, sitting across from then, Tommy taking a seat next to him.

"A video that was uploaded last night-" Purpled said, "It's gone pretty viral"

He showed them his phone. Toby read the title A NEW HERO EMERGES?, and an unfocused shot of an alleyway. His stomach dropped. Purpled pressed play, then turned the phone back to them. It was a low quality video of the last half of his fight with Schlatt in the alley last night- like someone had heard or seen them fighting and started recording. Faces and small details couldn't be made out, but there was no mistaking Schlatt's horns, or the fact that Toby had controlled him before he and Niki ran.

"Holy shit! They made him run into a wall-" Tommy cried, before laughing, "Serves that horned bastard right!"

"I've never heard of a hero with that power...or anyone with that power before..." Quackity mused, "Isn't everyone with powers registered..? I wonder why we've never heard of them or their power before...they seem pretty powerful."

"They seem really cool!" Tommy grinned, before turning towards Toby "What do you think Big T?"

"Oh, uh-" Play it cool Toby, play it cool- "I dunno. We don't really know much about them do we? And the video quality isn't great so it might have missed something...They're not really a hero, more of a vigilante-"

"I guess, but that doesn't change the fact that they saved that girl from an actual supervillain, right?" Purpled said, "I wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing more of them-"

"True..." Toby nodded, "Who knows?"

"I hope we do, they're cool!" Tommy grinned.

The bell rang before they could discuss it any more, and the five of them dispersed for homeroom and classes. Tommy and Tubbo made their way to their homeroom, and as they took their seats, they noticed a tall boy neither of them recognized in a corner. The bell rang again to signify the start of homeroom, and Mr. Nook (Or just Sam, as he let his homeroom kids call him, he was cool like that) got up from his desk.

"Alright guys, welcome to another week of school-" he chuckled, "As some of you already noticed, we have a new student today, I'll let him introduce himself-"

He nodded to the tall kid, who hesitantly stood up, scanning people's faces. Everyone in the room was looking at him, and the poor guy seemed almost scared of all the eyes on him. Toby tried to give him what he hoped was a reassuring smile when the boy made eye contact, and the boy seemed to relax slightly.

"Uh, Hi-" He said hesitantly, "I'm uh- Ranboo...I just moved here,but uh, that's kinda obvious..."

He was definitely nervous, and Toby couldn't blame him

"Uhh, yeah...nice to meet you all-" He finished, before abruptly sitting back down. Tommy gave him a thumbs up, which made him smile a little.

Toby got up, walking over to him, Tommy following a few seconds later

"Hi, I'm Toby!" he grinned, "Nice to properly meet you Ranboo!"

"And I'm Tommy!" Tommy smiled, hands on his hip

The tall boy smiled, "Nice to meet both of you too..." he looked down, "Hope I didn't look like a total idiot, I just don't do well talking to groups of people...too many eyes on me.."

"You did great, no worries!" Toby smiled, "And now you've got two new friends already!"

"What he said-" Tommy grinned, "Lemme see your schedule, we can see if we have any classes together!"

The three of them talked for a bit, exchanging schedules and asked some "getting to know you questions". Toby could have sworn he saw Sam smiling in their direction out of the corner of his eyes, but when he glanced over their teacher was busying himself with some papers at his desk.

After a few minutes more, the bell rang for first period "Alright then, Looks like we've got lunch together, plus you've got the last class of the day with Toby and our friends Karl and Quackity-" Tommy said as they got up and grabbed their bags, "I've got a different class, with Purpled, but that's cool! So you'll see us a couple times!"

He grinned, and Ranboo nodded, "awesome!"

"Tommy's first class is in the same direction as yours, so he can show you the way there-"

Tommy grinned, "Yeah, Just follow me and you'll never get lost! I know this school like the back of my hand-"

"Uh huh-" Toby raised an eyebrow as the three of them walked out of the room, "Since when?"

"Since always dickhead-"

Toby chuckled, "Alright alright, see you guys!" he waved as he went off in a different direction.

Later at lunch, he walked to the table he and his friends typically sat at. Purpled was already sitting there. Toby waved at him with a smile and sat at the table.

"Hey Toby-" Purpled smiled back, an expression on his face that told Toby his friend wasn't paying too much attention.

"What's on your mind?" The brunette asked, starting to eat

"The video we saw this morning.." he said, "It's insane, y'know?"

"Oh, yeah..." Toy nodded, "Weird too..."

He spotted Ranboo looking around nervously with his lunch and waved, "Ranboo, over here!"

Relief spread across the tall boy's face and he made a beeline for their table, sitting next to Toby.

"Ranboo, this is Purpled! Purpled, this is Ranboo! He's new here"

"Nice to meet you Ranboo-" Purpled nodded

"You too-"Ranboo smiled, seeming a bit on edge still, but relaxing.

Purpled looked like he was about to say something, when Tommy dropped into the seat on Toby's other side, "Hello men-" he grinned, before digging into his food.

"Hey Tommy-" Toby grinned

Another moment passed, and Karl and Quackity arrived, sitting on either side of Purpled

"Who's the new kid-" Quackity asked, tilting his head a little bit. His slightly mismatched eyes flashed with curiousity. One eye was slightly lighter than the other. Unless you were around him a lot, it was pointed out, or looking really closely you'd never be able to tell.

"I'm uh- I'm Ranboo! Nice to meet you-" Ranboo said, waving awkwardly

"He's in our homeroom-" Toby said as the six of them ate

"Aw man, you got stuck with this guy?" Quackity snickered, gesturing to Tommy, "Tough luck-"

"Fuck off you dickhead!" Tommy shouted, and Quackity cackled

The others laughed, though Ranboo looked confused, like he was wondering whether he should laugh or not.

"Don't worry, they joke like that all the time-" Karl chuckled, glancing at Ranboo, "I'm Karl, by the way, and this is Quackity"

Ranboo chuckled too, "Well, it's nice to meet you guys too-"

"Oh yeah, guys- me and Toby were talking about that video we saw this morning, and the new hero!" Purpled grinned.

"New hero?" Ranboo asked

"Oh yeah!" Tommy grinned, Quackity's comment a moment before forgotten,as he pulled out his phone and showed Ranboo the video. They discussed this new hero, though Toby tried to avoid most of the conversation. It was weird having people talk and theorize about you when you're sitting right next to them. Especially when they don't know it's you. Eventually though, as lunch was close to ending, they changed the subject.

"We're still working on the science project later right?" Karl asked as he returned from throwing his trash away

"Oh yeah!" Toby perked up, turning to Ranboo, "You're in our science class, at the very end of the day, right?"

"Uh, I think that's what you said before, yeah-" The boy nodded

"Excellent-"Toby grinned, "We're doing projects, and you can probably join our group if Karl and Quackity are ok with it!"

"Fine by me-" Quackity shrugged, and Karl agreed.

"Awesome!" Toby smiled, "We're planning on meeting Tommy and Purpled in the park afterwards, sound good?"

"Mhm.." Ranboo nodded, smiling, "Thank you guys...for being so nice and everything-"

"Eh, don't thank us just yet-" Purpled grinned, "You're stuck with us now"

"Yeah! Welcome to our gang of misfits!" Tommy grinned, thumping Ranboo on the back lightly, and the six of them smiled and laughed.
