It's almost time for dinner. Afterward, I think we're going to open presents and then watch a Christmas movie, or something. I'm really hungry, and the smell of the food without being able to eat it yet is almost killing me. The sun is starting to set and the view outside is perfect. It's snowing, the mountains look almost cartoonish, and it's cozy in here. I could sit here all night and watch the snowfall. Besides the talking I hear outside of the bedroom, it's so quiet.

Jeena knocked on the door and came in. "Dinner is basically done. Are you ready?"

I bit my lip softly. "Yeah. I'll be out in a second."

She nodded and left.

Well, dinner is done. I hope things don't get awkward. I'm just expecting to have a fun time and some good laughs.

I sighed off the page and closed it, putting it on the bed.

I was a little hesitant walking out to the dining room. I think anybody would've in my position.

I sat down in a seat next to Jeena so I could talk to her.

"I can't wait for you to open what I got you. I think you'll love it." She had the biggest smile on her face.

"Well, don't let me drink too much. It's actually legal for me to drink here you know. I don't wanna get too tipsy before opening gifts."

"I'll try to stop you." She said.

When everybody sat down at the table, my mom made us go around saying what we're thankful for.

"Ma, this isn't thanksgiving." I said.

"I don't care." She left it at that, making everybody break into snickers.

When it was almost time for desert, and I forced myself to save some room. I didn't want to be too stuffed, even if that's what we're here for.

I had the broach on now, making sure it was noticeable. Jeena even complimented it, asking where I had gotten it. I explained to her that George was the one who gave it to me as an early Christmas present. She smirked, knowing what I was doing.

Jimmy was sitting on the other side of me, fairly close. I scooted my chair a little closer to him and he took the opportunity to put an arm around me. I looked up at George, seeing he was already looking over at me with an almost disapproving look.

"Okay everyone!" Jeena jumped up. "Who's ready for presents?"

George's Point of View

While everybody got settled into opening presents, Andy made me show him the music I wrote.

"Here's the lyrics." I gave him my notebook.

He analyzed the pages for a while. Seemingly becoming more and more hooked.

"Wow." He breathed. "This is... amazing."

I bit my lip and didn't say anything. "Is this supposed to be about DJ?"

"She sure inspired it." I scoffed, picking up my guitar.

"I figured. I mean, you haven't even known her for a year yet so I didn't know if this was about somebody else, or a made up story..."

"It sort of is a story. But I put my blood, sweat, and tears into making that song." I started plucking the strings to see if they were in tune. "Almost like Careless Whisper..."

He hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "You should sing this tonight."

I looked at him like he was crazy. "That is so corny."

"I'm serious," Andrew said. "Nobody would know it's about your feelings toward DJ. Well, maybe a couple of people, but not everybody. It's just a beautiful song and perfect for the occasion- I mean, Christmas occasion. You know, not um-"

I held up my hand. "I get it."

"Do you have the song vocally memorized? And the chording?"

I nodded even though I wish I hadn't. "Yeah."

"Good," he stood up from the floor we were sitting on. "Come on. Leave that here, though. You can do that after presents."

"Why not now?" I asked.

"I've got something special up my sleeve."

He wasn't kidding. When I saw what he pulled out, I nearly gasped. "Wow. You're both ready?"

He breathed out nervously. "I think we are."

I put my hands on his shoulders. "Deep breaths. I'm happy for you."

Before walking out with him, I waited for him to stop being so jittery.

DJ's Point of View

"This one you have to open while nobody is watching," Jeena said to me. "It's a little scandalous."

My cheeks heated up. "You are nasty if this is what I think it is,"

I put the present behind me to save for later. I moved on to the last one for me and tore it open without letting Jeena say anything. It was a onesie with a bunch of snowmen on it. I giggled. "This is adorable. Perfect for this weather, too."

I thanked her and gave her a hug.

I looked over at Andrew, who was sitting next to her. He looked as pale as a ghost. I quietly mentioned it to Jeena. She looked up at him with a concerned face. "Are you alright, Andy?"

He looked up. "Yeah, I just..." he stopped talking for a moment.

"Hey, guys." George stood up and called out to everybody. It was a bit of a shock since he hadn't been talking much the whole night. "Andrew has something special he'd like to do."

He gave Andy a knowing look and nodded at him.

"Okay," he stood up and took Jeena's hand, helping her up as well.

"From the first time I saw you at our concert, I just... I had this feeling. I know how how to explain it, or what it was, but something about you made me feel-"

"Horny?" George interrupted.

Nobody could hold their laughter in. Jeena's face was a little red, but she was howling with laughter.

Andrew couldn't help but find it a little amusing, even if he wanted to get mad. "Well, maybe. I did find you quite attractive. I didn't even have to talk to you. I just had this feeling that... I needed to get to know you."

"A girl twinning with somebody else? You wanted to talk to a super fan?" She questioned.

"Again, I can't really explain it." He admitted. "But I couldn't stop thinking about you even when the show ended. So when we saw you outside and were able to give you a ride, I was so thankful that I didn't have to spend the rest of my life wondering about you.

"I love you so much. More than you will ever know. I never regret coming into your life, because you are probably the best thing that's ever happened."

I looked over slightly at George. I could tell he wanted to make some sarcastic remark like, 'for once, you're not just another hookup.' I almost snickered at the thought.

I realized George had a camera and was recording the whole thing.

What really proved my suspicion correct was when Andrew got down on one knee.

No way.

"Jeena," he swallowed, his voice getting thick. He pulled out a small black box. A couple of people gasped. "I know we haven't even been together for a year. But I just can't imagine my life with anybody else but you. I mean, you're just different from anybody else I've met. You're sweet, you're beautiful, you're so sexy."

More laughter erupted. Jeena was beginning to get emotional. Andrew continued. "I know it's early yet. So if you want to wait, I can understand that. I don't want to force-"

"No!" She suddenly blurted. Then she laughed. "I mean, no to the waiting."

I started laughing so everybody else joined in.

"Jeena Rose Miller..." he opened up the box with a slightly shaky hand. "Will you marry me?"
