George's Point of View

I woke up at first, not remembering where I was or anything that had happened the day before. I knew it was filled with almost too much travel and even more sleep.

DJ's face was still mostly in the dark since the curtains blocked out most of the light coming from outside. I stood up carefully to use the bathroom, doing my best not to wake her.

I hated when I did that. She always told me it wasn't a big deal, but I didn't like disrupting her sleep. It made me feel bad.

When I did come back, she was still sound asleep. I breathed a sigh of relief and climbed back Into bed, deciding to wake her up pleasantly. I got onto my stomach and kissed her forehead. She didn't budge. She was sure tired.

I left soft kisses around her face until she finally opened her eyes. She smiled softly. "You missed."

I frowned. "Hmm?"

"You missed." She pulled her hand out from under the covers, put it on my face to pull me closer, and connected her lips to mine.

I chuckled into it and gave her a few pecks. "What do you want to do today?" I asked.

"Find food. I'm starving, man." She pulled the covers off of her.

"We can do that. The people who own this chalet left us a few tour guides and a map so we can find our way around here. This place is adorable, wouldn't you agree?" I opened the curtains and looked out into the snowy mountains we were in. It was so peaceful. I even saw a few people in the distance getting their snow shovels out.

DJ was already dressed when I turned back around and was digging through her backpack to find her toothpaste and toothbrush.

When she went to the bathroom, I started getting ready myself. I figured I'd be the person to find all of us at all of our food markets and such. But I'd make Andrew help me if no one else.

I pulled on my best jeans after a while of searching and a red jumper. As for my hair, I brushed it out as much as possible since it was a bit of a mess.

When DJ came out of the bathroom, she was ready to mess it up again. A goofy smile on her face grew as she started stepping toward me. Before she could put her hands on my head, I grabbed her hands and forced her to turn around, so her back rested on my chest. Then, I attacked her with kisses to the face, making her let out the most precious laughter.

After giving me one long, strong kiss, she walked away to see if anyone else was awake.

DJ's Point of View

I found my mom and dad in the kitchen, already drinking coffee.

"Where did you get that?" I asked.

"We brought our own beans; they have milk and other stuff here that isn't expired." My dad pointed to the fridge in the corner.

A few floorboards creaked under my feet. It was almost maddening how quiet it was, but then again, it was lovely. I wouldn't have minded the sound of a fireplace cracking, though. It wasn't super cold at the moment, so there was no need for that.

Outside, there were stacks of wood for us to use. And inside, there were tons of boxes of matches and fire starter rolls.

I noticed it was a little harder to catch my breath, but that was only because of how elevated we were now. All of us were on top of a mountain, surrounded by even more.

But it was beautiful.

I felt a presence slide next to me. "What are we doing today?"

It was Jeena. "I don't know. Once everyone is up, some of us will go food search. I'm starving."

"I am too. Why didn't we just get some food from the airport?" She asked.

I shook my head. "Because we were delirious and not smart enough to remember we could buy snacks from there.

"Hey, Andy." I greeted him when he walked in.

"Morning."

By the time everybody was awake and socializing with one another, it was already ten thirty. Which, honestly, was much earlier than I would've expected us to be up. So far, a great start.

"Why don't some of us go exploring for some activities we can do, and the rest can find food?" Amanda suggested.

"Wouldn't that just make you even hungrier?" I asked.

"Well yeah, but then you'll have to stock up on food whenever we don't want to go out to eat."

I nodded. "Okay, I guess we can do that."

We were given four keys, so the ones most trusted in taking them kept them safe in a zippered pocket.

George had thrown on his big robe. I laughed. "Why don't you just get a heavy coat?"

"Because." He came up to me and hugged me. "Doesn't this feel nice?"

"In... in what way?" I tucked my arms under my chest.

"Well, warmth. But I can see you're enjoying it differently." He started squeezing me tighter, nuzzling his nose into my hair.

A few seconds later, I opened my eyes. "Quit distracting me."

He shrugged and started putting his shoes on.

I went with my parents, Jeena and Amanda, to go exploring. The town around here was adorable. No cars were allowed in the area, so they used these little taxi/buggy-like vehicles for transportation, or you walked everywhere. I would like to ride one once, but they seemed like they would be a little bumpy due to the stone road.

I hoped George and I would get a chance to walk around sometime because of how adorable the town was. Of course, it might've been cold, but we were prepared.

He sure was, anyway.

While exploring, we found a few cafes, restaurants, and a fondue place. It smelled immaculate in there. Afterward, we went to the tourist office and got some recommendations for places and things to do. Gondola rides to the tops of mountains were undoubtedly high on my list. Although, it would be pretty expensive. I was just glad we were all putting money into this. I hated that George insisted he did most of everything, though.

I didn't want to turn into a spoiled brat.

So I told myself every day how lucky I was to live the life I was.

For the most part.
