The going away party for the scepter is just an excuse to have a party. But, who cares? If the Avengers throw a party for any reason, people will show up.

World War 2 vets an everything.

Lauren slides the pool que in between her fingers, she strikes, and knocks the 8 ball into the left pocket.

" And that's how it's done," She smirks as she rests the que on the ground.

" Are you sure she's not cheating?" Sam asks.

" Nope. That's just all Lauren, " Steve says as he crosses his arms, " She can beat your ass in poker, too."

" Magic?" Sam asks.

" Talent, " Lauren responds.

They set up another game and, once again, Lauren wins.

"I gotta have some of that", An older man says to Thor.

" No, no, no. See this... This was aged for 1,000 years in the barrels built from the wreck of Grunhel's fleet. It is not meant for mortal men", Thor says as he hands a cup to Steve.

"Neither was Omaha Beach, blondie. Stop trying to scare us. Come on", One of the veterans say.

" All right", Thor says, handing the man a cup of the drink.

And by the end of the night, the bartenders had to carry him out of here.

"But it's a trick", Clint says as they're all lounging on the couch, fiddling with a drum stick.

" No, no, it's much more than that", Thor says as he and Steve clink their beer bottles together.

"Whosoever be he worthy shall haveth the power", Clint says in a lower voice, " What ever, man! It's a trick".

" Please, be my guest", Thor says, motioning to his hammer.

Clint then stands up and walks towards the hammer on the coffee table.

"Clint, you've had a tough week. We won't hold it against you if you can't get it up", Tony says.

" You have seen this before, right?", Clint asks, tries to lift the hammer, then fails, " I still don't know how you do it!".

" Smell the silent judgment?", Tony asks.

"Please, Stark, by all means", Clint says as he motions to the hammer.

He then stands up, unbuttons his jacket as he walks towards the hammer. 

" Never one to shrink from an honest challenge. It's physics", He says, putting his hands through the strap.

" Physics", Rhodes repeats.

" Right, so, if I lift it, I then rule Asgard?", Tony asks.

"Yes, of course", Thor says.

" I will be reinstituting prima nocta", Tony says, tries to lift the hammer, then fails, " Be right back".

Tony then comes back with the hands on his Iron Man suit, and he still can't lift it. Him and Rhodes then try to lift it with both of their suits' hands.

"Are you even pulling?", Rhodes asks.

" Are you on my team?", Tony asks.

" Just represent. Pull", Rhodes says.

But they fail. Bruce then tries to lift the hammer, then starts roaring, acting like he's turning into the Hulk. Which no one buys.

"Come on, Cap", Clint says as Steve gets a grip on the hammer.

Steve pulls as hard as he can, causing it to slightly move. Thor's face looks scared for a second. But when Steve can't lift it, he smiles.

"The handle's imprinted, right? Like a security code. Whosoever is carrying Thor's fingerprints is, I think the literally translation", Tony says.

" Yes. It's a very,very interesting theory. I have a simpler one", Thor says, then picks up the hammer and throwing it like it weighs nothing, " You're all not worthy", causing everyone to groan.

But the fun stops when they hear a loud ringing noise.

" Worthy. No. How could you be worthy? You're all killers."

" Stark", Steve says as he stands up.

" Jarvis", Tony says.

" I'm sorry, I was asleep. Ir I was a-dream", The robot says.

" Reboot Legionnaire OS. We got a buggy suit", Tony says.

" There was this terrible noise. And I was tangled in... in... strings. I had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy", The robot says.

" You killed someone?", Steve asks.

"Wouldn't of been my first call. But, down in the real world, we're faced with ugly choices", The robot says.

" Who sent you?", Thor asks.

" I see a suit of armor around the world", The robot says, in Tony's voice.

" Ultron", Bruce says.

" In the flesh. Or, no, not yet. Not this chrysalis. But I'm ready. I'm on a mission", The robot says.

" What mission?", Natasha asks.

" Peace in our time", The robot says, causing four of the Iron Legion suits to come flying through the wall, straight towards them.

Steve kicks up the table, but one of the suits flies into it, causing Steve and Lauren to fall to the ground.

" You okay?" He asks.

She nods.

Maria shoots her gun while Thor swings his hammer. Lauren flies up, shoves her hand through one of the suit's heads and drops back down to the ground to smash it.

Steve tries to do the same, but gets blasted into the wall.

Tony tries as well, but he tries to reset it

" Hey, Cap!" Clint calls out.

He throws the shield to Steve who catches it mid-air, then obliterates the final bot.

" That was dramatic", Ultron says, " I'm sorry, I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through. You want to protect the world but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to evolve? With these? These puppets. There's only one path to peace. The Avengers' extinction", then gets completely destroyed by Thor throwing his hammer at him.

" I had strings, but now I'm free."

The Avengers all look around, confused, but on red alert.

Thor leaves to follow Ultron while the rest of the team heads to the lab.

"All our work is gone. Ultron cleared out. He used the Internet as an escape hatch", Bruce says.

" He's been in everything. Files, surveillance. Probably knows more about us then we know about each other", Natasha says.

" He's in your files, he's in the Internet. What is he decides to access something a little more exciting?", Rhodes asks.

" Nuclear codes", Maria says as she takes shard of glass out of her foot.

" Look, we need to make some calls, assuming we still can", He says.

" Nukes? He said he wanted us dead", Nat says.

" He didn't say dead. He said extinct," Lauren says.

" He also said he killed somebody", Clint says.

"There wasn't anyone else in the building", Maria says.

"Yes, there was", Tony says, waving his mini tablet over the floor, causing Jarvis' physical form to appear.

"What? This is insane", Bruce says.

" Jarvis was the first line of defense. He would have shut Ultron down. It makes sense", Steve says.

" No. Ultron could have assimilated Jarvis. This isn't strategy. This is rage", Bruce says.

Thor then walks in the room, his boots thudding against the floor as he picks up Tony by his neck.

"Come on, use your words, buddy", Tony says.

" I have more than enough words to describe you, Stark", Thor says.

" Thor. The Legionnaire", Lauren says.

"Trail went cold about 100 miles out, but it's headed north", He says, setting Tony down, " And it has the scepter. Now we have to retrieve it, again".

" Genie's out of that bottle. Clear and present is Ultron", Natasha says.

" I don't understand", Helen says, " You built this program. Why is it trying to kill us?", causing Tony to laugh.

" You think this is funny?", Thor asks.

" No It's probably not, right? This is very terrible. Is it so... Is it so... Is it. It's so terrible", Tony says.

" This could have been avoided if you hadn't played with something you don't understand", Thor says.

" No. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It is funny. It's a hoot that you don't get why we need this", Tony says.

" Tony, maybe this might not be the time", Bruce says.

" Really? That's it? You just roll over, show your belly every time somebody snarls?", Tony asks.

" Only when I've created a murder-bot", Bruce says.

" We didn't. We weren't even close. Were we close to an interface?", Tony asks.

" Well, you did something right. And you did it right here. The Avengers was supposed to be different than S.H.I.E.L.D.", Steve says.

" Anybody remember when I carried a nuke through a wormhole? Saved New York? Recall that? A hostile alien army came charging through a hole in space. We're standing 300 feet below it. We're the Avengers. We can bust arms dealers all the livelong day, but that up there, that's... that's the endgame. How were you guys planning on beating this?", Tony asks.

" Together", Steve says.

"We'll loose", Tony says.

" Then we'll do that together, too", Steve says, " Thor's right. Ultron's calling us out. And I'd like to find him before he's ready for us. The world's a big place. Let's start making it smaller".

" Can the witchy woman find out where he's going?" Tony asks.

" Do I look like a walking GPS to you?" Lauren asks, " I can find... people. Not murder-bots."

" Can't you... touch something? Have a vision, perhaps?" Thor asks.

" I-It doesn't work like that. I don't control when the visions happen."
