Regrets.
"Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it yet."
- Anne Shirley
Shraddha 's POV:
I was out there at my balcony taking in the good air and breathing out the toxins I had let in. Everything passes inch by inch from you, some come an inch closer and some go an inch farther but there are some which go away suddenly from close to nowhere and it hurts to see or let someone you could die for go away like you never knew them or never saw them but it is the goddamn reality we are living in and here people who come close hurt you more than your own devil soul does when you do something with a heavy heart and sometimes we do make mistakes as in very big mistakes unknowingly and those mistakes probably makes someone else's life miserable because of the one thing you didn't notice yourself doing could affect someone so much more than you think it did.
Yeah? I did one too. I just wish that I could just take back all that incident by just saying one sentence or by not saying the sentence which led to it. I wish I could rewind and just change it. That's what everybody wants when they realize what they have caused.
I find it difficult to look myself in the mirror and trust me difficult is an understatement when it comes to say what I think of myself.
I want to say it aloud so that everybody could here it and then I will become the unforgivable.
Yeah! I did something that bad but I never in my life would want it to happen. I feel like a murderer not only a murderer but a cold -hearted one.
A cold hearted murderer who got her own elder brother killed in her brother's own car sitting next to him.
I am the person who killed her own lovely elder brother who loved me to death. Nobody knew this saying of his will be so true that he got killed by the love for her sister.
Ryan was the best brother anyone would wish for and guess what? I was blessed with him but I got him killed.
Flashback -
" It is a beautiful day?ain't it? "
I asked Ryan.
We both are sitting in his very tidy room and rearranging his stuff to make it look better.
I sat on the cold floor of white marble which is reflecting the light coming through the window in the room and my eyes are watching the birds sitting on the railings of the balcony when Ryan decides to reply
" Yeah! It is one beautiful day. "
I turn my head towards him still processing the view and his words.
He always chooses his words so carefully and the way he says them makes their meaning much more deeper.
" Let's go out somewhere and enjoy the beautiful day with the beautiful lady. "
Also, he perfectly understands me without saying a single word. He just knows what I want to do and what he needs to say to me to make everything just perfect.
I smile and nod my head and get up from the floor and look at him. His golden brown hair that are combed back perfectly, his trimmed beared and greenish grey livid eyes. ' Just Perfect '. I wonder how he doesn't have a girlfriend at high school and always manages to stick up with me.
" Ice-cream? " he questions me while walking towards the desk and picking up his car keys which he is now playing with his fingers. We both have so many small peculiar habits.
" Obligative Yes " I reply causing his lips to form a big wide grin. We both head downstairs giggling and joking around and bid our mother a goodbye. She just waves her hands in our direction not even looking up from her work.
I just wish she looked up at us specially at my brother that day and stopped us from going outside by any stupid excuse. I wish she told us to be home that day.
Ryan drove the car infront of the gate where I was standing with crossed arms near my chest. I got inside the car and we both headed to the ice- cream shop and bought one cookie n cream and one blueberry ice- cream and headed towards our favourite place that is to the tree house we made for Ashley when we were younger. We used to bring him here secretly and pamper him. Ashely is our younger brother.
Ryan pulled up infront of the tree house and we both climbed the hanging stairs up and we went inside.
The floor started creaking, it had become a lot weaker than it should be But we ignored that and enjoyed it like always and it started raining. I love rains and Ryan hated rains and specially driving in rains. It was getting darker and we decided to head home before mom started calling us.
The traffic has gotten worse to our way home from the tree house and I hate to admit rain is making it worse. Nothing is visible expcept the blurry lights coming from the vehicles amd Street lights. I out of no where say
" Let's go to the new shooting place on the highway and we can call mom and inform her that we're safe and by the time we leave we don't have to drive in this rainy weather and horrible traffic. What do you say? "
Ryan was busy looking at the road that I doubted myself for not saying it aloud and as soon as I opened my mouth to speak the car halted to a stop and he spoke looking at me
"Shall we? "
I looked behind him and saw the big board that had written ' Game Zone ' in big capital letters that were emmiting bright red light to attract people.
" I am going to call mom you get in there and take two tickets for the shooting area . I will catch you there."
He handed me money for the tickets and took his phone out from his pockets and I went straight inside the building and saw a big line at the ticket booking booth and sighed but I saw another counter that had the board 'CLOSED' hanging turn into 'OPEN ' by a handsome twenty year old man I rushed towards the counter before the big line gets converted here. I smiled at the gentleman and bought two tickets and headed to the select the guns for us.
