Branch's hand shook hard as he held his phone, trying to make his myself dial the Poppy's number.

He had promised to keep in touch with her. But the last time he had talked to her, she had seemed pretty mad at him.

Just as he was about to push the last button to her number, his phone popped up a different screen.

Poppy was calling him.

He answered. He didn't say anything at first, he waited for her to say something.

But she didn't.

He heard murmuring in the background.

Did she buttdial me?

"I love you," he heard a voice say that seemed close to the phone, but not close enough to it for it to be Poppy's voice.

"I love you too." that was Poppy's voice.

I love you? To who?!

"It's getting late," he heard the other voice say. "I've got to meet up with some friends. Wanna come?"

"Sure," Poppy said, and then Branch hung up.

Is she dating someone else? Why? Who?

A knock fell on Branch's door. He opened it, but wished he hasn't.

"Hey!" Lili squealed. "I'm just.....I came here because I need to talk to you."

Branch sighed. "You've got two minutes."

"Look. I'm sorry about how I acted. When I met you, I wasn't sure exactly how I felt. But them you acted like you were falling for me, so, I guess.....I guess I began to fall for you. And then I started acting up. I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry."

They stood there in silence for a moment.

"It's been three minutes," Branch said, and slammed the door in her face.
