"SURPRISE!!" Creek yelled cheerfully, as he uncovered her eyes from his hand and let go of her.

"What do you want?!" Poppy asked, brushing off her arm. "I'm not falling for any more of your tricks."

Creek shook his head. "I know. I'm an evil betrayer, I always have been and I always will. I guess that I just couldn't deal with that fact for a whils. But I'm learning to accept it rather than run away from it now. I want to help you."

Poppy sat on her bench and took a package of crackers out from her bag. She ate one and don't look at creek as she talked. "And exactly why should I trust you?"

"You probably won't. And I'm not surprised if you don't."

"SO WHAT'S YOUR POINT?!!" Poppy screamed, angrily.

"Oh, fiesty. I love it when you're like that," Creek said flirtatiously, and put his hand around Poppy's waist.

Poppy slapped him. "Don't touch me."

"Ow!!"

"Explain to me how exactly I'm supposed to trust you when you can't not flirt and keep your hands off me long enough for you to explain this all to me?" Poppy asked.

"Look, Poppy, ive always had a crudh on you, and I always will."

Poppy scooted back.

"But I have to take a step back from that," he said calmly. "Youre with branch, and there's nothing I can do to change that."

Poppy nodded.

"Today is branch's birthday, right?"

"Yes."

"I assume you're throwing him a psrty. I want to help. I feel bad for all that I've done to ruin your and his relationship. I want to make up for it."

Poppy wasn't sure if she could trust him, but she had promised herself and branch that she wouldn't fall for him. Plus, she did need help preparing for branch's party.

"Fine!!" Poppy sighed, then pointed at him. "But pull anything and you'll regret it."

Creek grinned and nodded. "Okay. Deal."

Poppy walked off to get ready for the party. Creek followed.

Poppy hoped she hadn't made a mistake trusting him.
