As Poppy entered the room, Branch was surrounded by doctors, nurses, and machines.

She hated the sight of Branch having to suffer like this. Who would be so evil as to do this to someone?

Sadly, Poppy knew there was violence I'm the world. But she was so innocent that she didn't really pay attention to it.

Poppy saw a super pretty troll standing next to him. Since Branch was surrounded by doctors, she couldn't be sure, but she was pretty positive of the sight that she thought she saw the troll holding Branch's hand.

"You must be Poppy!" the troll said, and walked over to her. "I'm glad you made it. I'm Lily."

Lily. That's who she had spoken to on the phone.

Poppy didn't acknowledge what Lily had said. "Is Branch okay?"

Lily shrugged. "The doctors don't know. All they really know is that he's in a lot of pain right now."

"Poppy," she heard a voice call. "Come here...."

She knew it was Branch's voice. Even if he sounded as weak as ever, she still reconized it.

"I'm right here," Poppy said, grabbing his hand and squeezing it.

"I...I, I don't want to die this way."

Poppy's mouth took in a few, scared beathes. She felt tears filling up in her eyes. "No....no, you're not going to die. You're not going to die on me."

But Branch just closed his eyes.
