One second. Sometimes, that’s all it takes for your life to change. Just one second.

One wrong move and everything falls apart. One single decision can lead you down a path you never even thought you’d set foot on.

Sabrina Fane had always known that car racing was a high-risk sport. Having a former F1 driver as her father has taught her that much. She was aware of the danger, but it didn't deter her from wanting to be like him. The girl had a dream, and she’d be damned if she didn’t chase it.

However, the dream quickly turned into a nightmare when she watched her teammate lose control over his car, causing it to fly off the track and barrel straight into the wall. That was the moment when the risk of it all had fully registered for her.

One second was all it took.

As the new season approaches, she gets offered a seat at a better team: Ferrari. It’s only for a year, yet Sabrina is a little hesitant to take it. It would be a dream come true, sure, but it would also mean abandoning the team she’d referred to as family for years. Then, eventually, a decision was made.

One simple word was all it took for her life to turn upside down.

Adjusting to the new atmosphere has been surprisingly easy, but keeping her new teammate at arm's length? Not so much. When Charles Leclerc makes it his mission to get to know her, there’s only so much Sabrina can do before her walls start to crumble under the force of his relentless attempts to discover what hides beneath her public persona.

Falling for him takes longer than a second. It becomes the result of late-night talks in the garage and hotel rooms, fleeting moments between practices, small touches that linger longer than they should, and meaningful glances that speak louder than words. By the time they realize what’s happening, they’re toeing a line they probably shouldn’t cross, but it’s already too late.

The damage had been done.

And it’ll only take a second to determine where they’ll go from there.

One decision that can either save or destroy them.

In the world of Formula One, there’s no room for love.

A/N: Alright, here we go. I started watching F1 this summer and quickly became a fan, so of course, I had to write a fanfic. Just a warning, english is not my first language, so there might be a few grammar mistakes. I'm really excited for this story, I have some great things planned (let's hope I don't lose motivation).
