6 years later- Kayli's POV

I woke up about 8 in the morning and yawning wide. Another day, i glanced around my room when i suddenly remembered. This was my day! I was planning on sneaking out of the World  Hall and seeing what it's like outside. Whenever i do go out, i have to have one of my uncles or aunts watch me and it was always near home. Not today!

I hopped out of my nest of blankets and stuffies then i took off my jammies. Skipping towards my dresser and took out a  light blue tank top, pink capris and a hair tie for my long light red hair.  Next i went to my closet and took out a pair of pink sandals, if i was lucky i would get out before anyone would see and took a backpack that i had filled with things i need. 

"i'm going, i'm really doing this" i whispered to myself giddy. I tip-toed past all the bedrooms belonging to my uncles and aunts hoping they were still asleep. From the kitchen i could smell bacon, eggs and pancakes, my uncle Mattie must be helping with breakfast, he makes the best especially when he puts his homemade maple syrup on them. I always ask Uncle Mattie to make the pancakes with chocolate chips, he was more than willing to do that for me. Being as quiet as i could, i snuck down the stairs past the kitchen and to the front door. I was about to take a step when the floor creaked under my foot causing me to freeze up.

"Kayli! Leo! are you two up?" i heard my mommy call from the kitchen, i couldn't say anything or else i'd be caught "yeah mommy, i up" i glanced at the stairs after i heard my brother call still sleepy "Kayli?" i bit my lip trying to stay quiet "Kayli?" i heard her call again then i heard her sigh "Leo! Wanna check if your sister is up? She might be trying to sleep in again!" i had to get out fast "okay!" that's when i got out the door.

I decided to visit my foal Avi in the stables before i went, Uncle Antonio gave 2 foals to to me and Leo when we had turned five. He said they were Spanish foals, the first word that came out of Leo's mouth when he saw the black one was "Shadow". So Leo was given the black girl horse but when i saw mine, i was trying to say a difficult word but daddy helped me even though Leo was laughing at me for it. 

Daddy said i could name my white boy horse Avi until i learned how to say his full name.  When i got to the stables, Avi saw me and trotted over while Shadow looked at me like she was bored "hi boy how are you?" i greeted him, i stuck my hand past the fence and Avi nuzzled it "i got a treat for you, snuck it from the kitchen last night" i reached into my backpack after taking it off my shoulders and i took out a few sugar cubes.

I offered them to Avi and he nibbled the sugar cubes off my hand which made me giggle "promise not to say anything Avi but i'm going out, i'll be back later" i petted his head which made Avi gently nicker.

I left the stables and ran out of the area. If Leo could go free without anyone looking out for him than for one day i wanted to feel what he does. 

((Leo's POV))

I had to get dressed quick before getting Kayli up. My sister is such a pain, I changed out of my one piece pikachu jammies. I couldn't let anyone know i wore them, it's not manly whatever that means but i hear Uncle Gilbert say that all the time about things, especially when he's talking about Aunt Elizaveta's dress. I got dressed in a D Gray Man shirt that had the whole group and grey shorts with grey sandals then i headed to Kayli's room. I opened the door and saw she wasn't there but what did catch my eye was the Timcampy plushie that daddy gave me. Kayli was always stealing my things, she's such a bully.

I wanted to grab it but if i did, she'd know it was me. I checked everywhere for my sister but couldn't find her so i went to tell daddy and knocked on his office door "come in" i heard him say so i quietly opened the door where i saw daddy working at his desk "daddy?" he briefly looked up and saw me standing there. Then he stopped what he was doing "Leo, how are you son?" daddy asked me "i'm good but i can't find Kayli anywhere and it's time for breakfast" daddy took a pause and took a breath "yum, your mother made my favorite. should go down and get some of it plus a coffee but as for Kayli i'll have the trio go after her, does that sound fair?" i nodded "um daddy? can i try coffee?" i asked "maybe when you're older, i could get in trouble with your mother" i nodded "OK daddy"

I skipped away eager for breakfast, i knew daddy would take care of Kayli and i didn't have to worry.

(Kentin's Pov)

I sat in the office thinking then after a moment i called Antonio, Gilbert and Francis "bonjour Kentin, nice sunny day" i smiled at Francis "yes it is a nice day but i didn't call you here to discuss the weather, Kayli is missing, i think she snuck out of the World Conference hall, i want you to find her, check the stables too, i'm sure she went to go see Avalanche"  i looked at them "keseseseses! of course we vill vind her Kentin!" Gilbert promised "si, amigo, you can count on us" Antonio finished "OK you three are dismissed" they left with all haste and i couldn't help but smile, how was i ever lucky to get adoptive brothers like them?.

(Kayli's Pov)

I got to a lake which made me grin, i looked at my My Little Pony watch and saw it was about 11:30. I wondered what mommy would be making for lunch but thinking of food reminded me that i had skipped breakfast which in turn made my stomach growl "why didn't i sneak in the kitchen and grab some toast?" i groaned, i looked through my pack and found a few things such as an apple and juice "if it's one thing my uncles taught me its to never be unprepared" i told myself

I sat under a tree and munched on the apple, outside was wonderful. The smells, the sights it was all so new to me. I couldn't believe i was actually out. After finishing my snack, i stood up but almost immediately i felt like someone was following me. Shrugging it off i kept on my way but the sensation never left.

Getting to the lake and jumped up on a rock overlooking the lands. Being distracted, i didn't hear the rustle of leaves but my distraction was gone when i heard a twig break under someone's foot. "Who's there?!" i yelled out scared for my life. The sounds got closer and i backed up to the edge of the rock when whoever was following me scared me out of my wit's end. I screamed and the person screamed and where i ended up was in the lake.

I heard what i thought was Uncle Antonio freaking out "oh hold on Kayli! Uncle Antonio is coming!" then he jumped into the lake on top of me.

((Reader's Pov))

Gilbert and Francis got to the lake to see Antonio sitting in the shallow part of it with bubbles blowing under him and Gilbert couldn't help freaking out "mein gott! uh gee Kentin good news is we found your daughter and the bad news is we dropped a Spaniard on her, is there a problem with that?" Gilbert tried making a good excuse for telling Kentin then Francis walked up to the lake "Kayli?" Antonio asked "Antonio! Let me define 'Baby sitting' mon ami" Francis told the dumbfounded Antonio which he immediately stood up which led to Kayli coughing up water and glaring at him "sorry" Antonio apologized

((Kayli's pov))

I couldn't believe it! Daddy sent my three uncles after me! I bet it was Leo's fault, he always gets me in trouble with mommy and daddy. Well i wasn't going back "Kayli! Thank goodness, are you hurt?" Uncle Gilbert asked me as he checked me over then i backed away "no i'm fine thanks, you can go back now i have everything under control" i told them "not until we get you home little one" Uncle Antonio told me "after we get back we should partake in escargot, it is a delicacy in my country" Francis said "ew why would we eat snails?, i say good ol wurst!" Uncle Gilbert made a face "now now amigos lets not fight, besides i'm not hungry for anything big maybe some churros" the two looked at him funny "Nein! Wurst!" Gilbert shouted "Escargot!" Francis shouted back "Churros!" Antonio added in.

They were still arguing about food from their country so that gave me a chance to get away. I ended up in this dark forest but it interested me. I wasn't watching where i was going when i bumped into someone "oh sorry, i should of  watched where i was walking" i looked at the one who i bumped into and saw it was a boy about my age. 

He had messy black hair and his clothes were black, he looked at me and i was surprised by the mean look he gave me but i did notice his eyes were red "what are you doing here?" he asked me his voice having a slight Italian accent to it. The boy stood up and advanced on me but i jumped out of his path. He changed his direction towards me again and i jumped away once again which got him confused "what are you doing?" He asked "my father told me never to trust strangers" i told him "huh gonna do what daddy says?" he asked again "no!" i shouted glaring "bet you do, bet you're daddy's little girl ha" he turned to walk away from me.

"Well, i ran away" i told him sounding proud of myself "so, i do that all the time and no one comes looking for me" that made me pout and i followed after him "that sounds cool" i told him even though i felt jealous of him, he turned around and looked scared "what's wrong?" i asked the boy and he pounced towards me which made me shriek and dodge. 

"Stupid restless spirits" i heard him mutter and i saw one behind him. It was eerie and the sound it made was horrible "look out!" The spirit charged at him and he dodged "run!" we ran towards the edge of the forest when one caught my leg "let go!" i screamed at it then the boy knocked it away with a branch "thanks" i told him and soon we made it out of the forest "how did you see the size of those spirits?" i laughed and the boy smiled "you were pretty brave" he told me "My name is Nico" i giggled "nice name, my name is Kayli Phillips wanna play tag?" i was excited to say the least, i found a new friend.

"How do you play tag?" Nico asked me which made me confused "um you run and i tag" i explained then he ran away smiling and i ran after him laughing.

((Leo's POV))

I was told to go after my three uncles as they havn't came back yet and i grabbed a stick as my weapon. It was my magic sword and i would protect my mommy,daddy and sister. Well not so much my sister as she is a bully and a meanie and she always picks on me. Every time i say i'm the big brother she always retorts that i'm only older by 20 minutes. 

Uncle Antonio shouldn't of said that to her. I ran until i reached them at the lake and they were arguing about food "uncles where is my sister?" i asked them and they stopped to look at me then they looked around "mein gott!, she got away!" Uncle Gilbert shouted in surprise.

"Mon ami, there's footprints leading into the dark forest" Uncle Francis said then i was lifted onto Uncle Antonio's shoulders "hold on little one" i blinked twice "andele! mule! go!" i grinned as i said that pulling on his brown hair, he looked up at me and grinned, i saw Uncle Gilbert send off Gilbird and soon we were off to find my sister.

((Kayli's pov))

I was hiding in the bushes while Nico was trying to find me. Tag was a little difficult so we started playing hide and seek. I was a pretty good player at this game, not even Leo could find me when we played "well,well,well If it isn't a little guardian" i gasped and looked behind me to see a woman that looked like my Aunt Alice but she was dressed in red and she wore high heels, her hair was a darker color of red but the eyes. They weren't like my aunt's warm brown eyes they were a cold purple-red. She wore gold bangles on her wrist and brown gloves. 

It wasn't the gloves that got me scared. It was the throwing knife in her hand. She quickly grabbed me and placed the blade against my neck "don't squirm little ragazza, otherwise i'm gonna make a mess" i was crying loudly "MAMA! PAPA! LEO! ANYONE! HELP!" i cried out scared of this woman "mom, what are you doing?" i looked to see Nico standing there with wide eyes "run away Nico!" i shouted as i struggled "but Kayli, this is my mommy" i gasped when he said that.

"Stop right there Lucilla!" I heard the voice of my daddy and the woman let me go which i ran to him "Kentin" she hissed out and smirked then she backed off when my mother and my three uncles appeared but Leo was on Uncle Antonio's shoulders carrying a stick "Chloe" Lucilla said but it sounded mean "Lucilla" my mother wasn't impressed "Antonio, Francis and Gilbert, now that that is out of the way GET OFF OUR LANDS!" Antonio shouted "your lands, these lands belong to Keaton" Lucilla laughed "but good joke though" the smile she had on her face scared me "go away you big mean old lady" i heard Leo say.

"You know i don't allow stray 2ps just walk along the border, you should have known about what i would do Lucilla" Daddy told her "you think that bothers me? you think you can scare me? don't make me laugh, by the way this is my son Nico Vargas, the only heir to Keaton's empire" my mother gasped "how is that even possible? you are a 2p nation" my mother asked "i guess i'm just that special enough to have my master choose me to carry his legacy" she smirked "but if you have to shed blood today, here" she pushed Nico towards my daddy, she kept that smirk on her face the whole time and Nico looked scared.

"We are finished here, take your brat and get out" My daddy told her as he picked me up in his arms "oh no Kentin, we have barely begun" Lucilla laughed while she looked at me  then she picked up Nico and walked off "bye Nico" i whispered "bye" he whispered back. To me this would be the last time i ever saw Nico again.
