((Kayli's POV- A year later))

I sat in my room while reading a book as i waited for my food to be slipped under the door. I was completely bored and irritated. I was 7 years old now and i was hoping to at least be able to attend school in the Hetalia World soon. Setting my book aside, i went over to the door to try it. Nope still locked.

I sighed and went over to the window expecting my brother to be walking down the road. As much as he got on my nerves, i loved Leo, he was always there for me. It wasn't like i was totally cut off from news about my brother though.

I was practicing with the ash from the fire i made. It was tough but i managed to create black birds. The birds looked like shadows and so i set one free now and again to see what the latest gossip was about. The best kind of gossip was from either the dining or meeting hall.

"OK birdie, go to one of the two places that best to find news" i told the shadow bird then set it free. It usually takes about an hour to find news out so i continued to read my book. The shadow bird i sent out returned and relayed the news to me through its eyes. Another thing it can do is record anything like a camcorder and let me see it.

The scene was in the World Meeting Hall and besides all the fighting i could see, Uncle Ludwig managed to get the meeting under control. I was bored after they were all talking about their country's politics. "Now then, since we are all settled, Kentin you had some news for us?" the birds head had turned in the direction of my dad then who stood up "i had just gotten a call from Gray Fullbuster in Fairy Tail, Leo for now has completed his training with him" i gasped and smiled wide, my brother was coming home after a year! "Well, that's good news" Arthur told him while sipping on a cup of tea i assumed but i gasped when he looked in the bird's direction. It was like Uncle Arthur knew it was there.

"Yes it is, Gray has agreed to continue being his private tutor while he's teaching at the school" Daddy continued "what about Kayli?" the birds head turned in the direction of my uncle Kiku then daddy sighed "i'm not sure, she'd be a danger to him and everyone else for that matter" i glared at the recording "i understand" suddenly the door opened, the bird's head turned towards it and i saw Aunt Rosa walk in.

"It's kind of cruel isn't it? To lock Kayli away, you better be glad it's just me and not Julchen, you'd have hell to pay" Rosa told daddy "what would you have me do?" he asked her "let her attend school, let her see Leo, let her have a normal life" Rosa scolded "but her fire powers are out of control" Rosa held up a hand to silence my dad "you don't think i might be working on that? I've had an idea since day 1 but if you don't let Kayli free, i will have no other option than to tell Julchen and do you know what she will do?" Rosa cleared her throat and continued "this is what i would imagine, she'd come here, yell at you then take Kayli away from here, who knows when your daughter would return".

Daddy sighed "fine, i'll let Kayli free, but if something happens i'm holding you responsible" Rosa rolled her eyes "i'm not scared of you boy, if something does happen, you can tell Julchen yourself, Kayli is her favorite" I saw Rosa walk away. I heard footsteps in the hall and made the bird disappear after thanking it.

The door unlocked and daddy stepped inside "you are free to go Kayli, your brother will be home soon" i smiled and walked out of my room. The World Hall, i missed seeing the interior. I immediately ran outside to see Avalanche, while in confinement i learned how to say my stallion's full name.

When i got to the pasture, i saw a magnificent white stallion who looked bigger than i remembered "Hola!" i saw my Uncle Antonio ride up on his own horse "what do you think of Avi? he's a yearling now and ready to be ridden" i smiled at him "he's beautiful and so majestic" i whistled to Avalanche and he came over.

My horse nuzzled me and nickered "he remembers you little one" i looked up at Uncle Antonio "can you teach me how to ride him?" i asked which he just laughed "of course! When is Leo expected back?" he asked me "in about an hour or so" i answered "then come on in, i'll teach you the fundamentals" Antonio rode away.

i walked into the pasture, minding where i stepped. I reached the little grassy area and saw my uncle put a saddle and bridle on Avalanche "well, he's all ready for you, step in the stirrups and lift yourself up" he instructed. I went over to Avalanche "please, don't make this difficult for me" i whispered to my friend. I placed my foot on the stirrup and tried to pull myself up on the saddle. Antonio walked over to help me up "don't want you to fall."

After i was on the saddle, Avalanche turned to look at me with a pleased look in his silver eye then i rubbed his neck to which he nickered "OK, try breaking into a walk, to do that gently nudge Avalanche's side with your foot" I did as instructed and i was soon moving. Before Uncle Antonio could say anything more, i nudged a little harder and Avi was galloping "OK, bring him back!" i heard him yell, i noted that Avalanche was fast.

I turned him around and galloped towards Antonio "whoa, whoa" i pulled back the reins and he stopped just a foot in front of my uncle. "Wow you catch on fast, didn't have to instruct you anymore than what i have" i then heard the bell ringing "looks like your brother is home" i smiled wide and rode off towards the main gate. The door to the pasture was open after all.

It was wonderful, i felt like i was flying. Avalanche's stride was graceful and elegant like he was bred for royalty. I got to the main gate and i tugged the reins to make my horse stop. In the distance i saw a familiar shape walking closer and closer until i could make out the face of Leo. Walking beside him was Gray Fullbuster "LEO!" i yelled out laughing "KAYLI!" the smaller shape started running towards me.

"You're riding Avi!" my brother stopped running after he was close to me "Uncle Antonio taught me, it's good to see you Leo" i smiled gently. I looked at him and noticed he looked stronger than what he was when he left. Antonio came over and offered to teach Leo how to ride Shadow "maybe later, i want to see everyone" Leo smiled "Leo, i'm going to find your dad, i need to tell him the progress you made" He looked at Gray and nodded.

Leo then looked at me "hey, wanna see what i can do?" he asked me, his blue eyes brimming with excitement "sure" i answered. Leo held up his palm and an ice rabbit appeared "so cool, no pun intended" i grinned then the rabbit hopped from his palm to the ground and ran around me "oh my goodness!" my eyes followed the little ice rabbit then it disappeared "aww" i pouted to Leo "there's more where that came from trust me"

((Kentin's POV))

I heard a knock at the office door "come in" i answered as i looked through paperwork for the school. The door opened and Gray walked in "oh Gray, i didn't expect you to be here so early" i stood up, walked over and shook his hand in greeting "yeah, Leo wanted to come home so who was i to deny him"

I went over to my desk and sat down in my chair while he sat in another chair on the other side "i'm guessing you saw Leo" He started "yes, i saw him run towards Kayli, you must have some fantastic healers in Fairy Tail" i smiled "he's not healed" my smile suddenly faded "but his burns that he received from Kayli, they are gone" i was dumbfounded. The burns that Kayli's flames had caused on Leo's face looked like he never had them when he left.

Gray looked away from my gaze and turned his sights to the window "it's a sort of an ice shield, Leo came up with the idea himself actually. He understood that he couldn't return looking scarred up lest he risk letting Kayli be reminded of that day, Leo is trying to look out for his sister" Gray looked at me and smiled a little "it's actually quite touching." I pinched the bridge of my nose and closed my eyes. Leo. My one and only son scarred for life with something that would hide those scars from Kayli and she was to blame for it all.

Not that i didn't love my daughter, i love her a lot. I just feel like she should still be locked away where she wouldn't be a hazard. "Well, i had better head back to Fairy Tail, first day of World Academy W is in two days right?" i looked at Gray who interrupted my thoughts "yes, we still need to select the children in the world to attend" i told him "good luck with that Kentin" Gray stood up and walked out of my office.

Choosing students from my world was going to be a little easy. Arthur was already on it. His idea was giving the chosen kids a very unique key. A key that would turn any door in their home into a door leading to the train station with all the doors. It was a deal made by everyone that 5 children from each country would attend the school and be chosen as guardians by the teachers and the key would appear at random to each child.

As i know Arthur, the keys were already on route to their chosen child. I couldn't wait to get the school up and running. I then looked over Kayli's class schedule. "Well, i may need to make some changes to this" i muttered to myself. There was 3 combat classes and 2 defense classes as well as one magic class in the morning. As well there were a bunch of normal classes so i left those alone.

I decided that Kayli was not to participate in the combat, magic and defense classes due to her fire powers. Last thing i need is to have the school burn down and some of the students killed if Kayli's powers went out of control.

I wouldn't tell Julchen about this, no one needed to know. Not even my own wife.

((Kayli's POV))

I was jealous of Leo, i knew my powers were dangerous. Leo's powers were perfect and he was in control of all the ice magic he made. "So, i heard school starts in two days" i smiled wide and nodded "i can't wait to learn how to fight" i grinned "well, i may or may not have heard that Erza Scarlet will be in charge of some fighting classes" Leo told me as he rolled an ice ball in his hands "that would be awesome, i would love to learn from her"

"Hey kids!" we looked and saw Uncle Feliciano running towards us "hey uncle!" me and Leo greeted in unison "i didn't know you were back Leo, i would have made some pasta!" Leo walked up to Uncle Feli "well, i still want pasta if you're still wanting to" Uncle Feli's face lit up even though his eyes were closed "wonderful!" He walked away with a happy little jump in his step.

I looked to the horizon and sighed. Seeing Aunt Rosa today made me realize i missed my aunts in the Nyotalia realm "hey Leo, do you think that it'd be alright if i left for the afternoon?" i looked at him "well remember what happened last time you went out on your own?" he asked me and i nodded "i know, i just want to see our aunts" Leo smiled "go ahead, i'm going to see dad and mom" he walked away and i got on Avalanche.

Flicking the reins "let's go Avalanche" i told him and soon we took off running. I still found it amazing. I passed the forest known as the Ancient Doorway Forest where all the anime worlds resided. It was more active than normal due to the first day of school being in two days. It took me an hour or so to reach where my aunts resided thanks to Avalanche being fast. "Hey, open the gate!" i yelled out grinning, i saw a familiar shape in the watch tower "Kayli? is that you?" i waved "yes, let me in Aunt Emily!" i laughed. The gate opened up and i galloped inside "Liebchen!" Julchen ran over and helped me off my horse, then she hugged me tight "oh it's veen such a long time and you've grown up a little" she then let me go and smiled with a loving look in her eyes "it has been Aunt Julchen"

From what i was told by my mom, she needed a baby sitter for me and Leo one day. Uncle Alfred and Uncle Gilbert had already claimed to babysit Leo but there was no one to care for me so my mom came here. The Nyotalia girls were more than willing to do that for my mother but it was Aunt Monika who suggested that her big sister needed some more responsibility.

At first Julchen didn't want to babysit me but i was kind of forced on her. While she held me, something changed. Julchen cared for me as if i was her own, protecting me and loving me. My mom teased that it was my big green eyes that changed her mind. I always believed that something told Julchen just how much i needed her to care for me in my mother's absence.

Ever since then, my aunt had been looking out for me. I understood why Aunt Rosa said that if Julchen knew i was locked away, she'd have reason to take me away and care for me here. As Aunt Julchen walked me inside their World Hall she was talking with me "so what brings you here little one?" she asked me "i wanted to visit, i haven't seen you in a year and 4 months" i smiled "why were you absent for so long?"

I bit my lip then, i still wanted to attend school "well, i just got busy" i lied. We walked towards the dining room and i was greeted by my aunts Alice, Chiara and Sakura. "It's nice to see you again, Kayli" Alice smiled then she munched on a slice of pizza "would you like something to eat or drink?" Julchen asked me as i sat down "some milk and cookies?" i asked back.

"Hmm, i wonder if Rosa's back yet?" Julchen wondered as she brought a gloved hand to her lips in a thinking gesture "yes, i'm back, i got home an hour ago!" I heard Aunt Rosa yell out then she came back with a plate full of chocolate chip cookies "i just finished these in a matter of fact since a certain American ate all of my last batch" she rolled her eyes and set the plate down. Julchen then walked away in the direction of their kitchen then came back with a large glass of milk.

She set it down in front of me then i grabbed a still warm cookie "girls, may i talk to Kayli alone?" Rosa asked them "of course" Julchen smiled then ruffled my hair before leaving. Sakura, Chiara and Alice then left after her. "I'm glad your father followed my advice" Rosa started after she was sure they were gone "thank you for that Aunt Rosa" i set the cookie down after i took a bite then looked at her "your welcome, it wasn't right that your father locked you away, trust me it took me all i had not to blab to Julchen about it"

"Why did he do that to me?" i asked looking down "your fire powers darling, he's scared of them considering their out of control" Rosa told me "I know you heard about my little project, i'm still working on it, my powers are not exactly like Arthur's magic. Lucky man but trust me it will be worth it" I nodded "yet Leo can go free whenever he wants" i added sighing "i'm getting a feeling of favoritism between your father and Leo, i'd watch yourself Kayli, you may or may not be getting the wrong end of the stick in your family and by the way nice job on those ash birds, it tells me you've been practicing pretty hard on them" Rosa finished as she took a sip of tea, her compliment made me smile "how do you know about them?" i asked her which she only winked but said no more.

After chatting with a few other aunts i decided it was time to go home. I kept Rosa's words in mind though. I hopped up on Avalanche with Julchen's help "come back soon ok Liebchen?" i nodded and flicked the reins. With a nudge of my foot, Avalanche took off running in the direction of the World Hall.

((Leo's POV))

Before heading to my dad's office i stopped and talked with a few of my uncles. Uncle Francis, Uncle Antonio and Uncle Gilbert were all thrilled i was back and promised me they haven't changed. I looked at the time and saw an hour went by! Time really does fly when your having fun.

After bidding them goodbye, i walked to my dad's office and knocked "come in" i heard him say. I opened the door and walked inside "ah, Leo welcome home son" Dad stood up and walked over to me for a hug "you look good, stronger than what you were" I smiled at his praise "thank you but it's all Gray's training that helped me" my dad smiled back and walked away to his desk "i got your school schedule right here, if you want to take a look at it." He picked up a paper, turned around and held it out for me.

I took my schedule and looked. I had a few combat classes, 2 magic classes and 2 defense classes all with different teachers. I noted the message at the bottom of the page "private lessons with Professor Gray Fullbuster" i read out "he's going to continue to be your private tutor as an afterschool activity" Dad explained "i see" i put the schedule in my back jean pocket "can i see Kayli's? i just want to see if we have the same classes together" i asked him "that is for Kayli's eyes alone, you can send her up now if you wish."

"Um, Kayli's not on Hetalia grounds right now" i told him quietly "what!?!" i winced as he yelled angrily "she went to go see our aunts in the Nyotalia Realm" I heard dad growl out "she's in big trouble when she's home" "Wait dad, i let her go, i mean she's riding Avalanche now and that stallion is fast, i figure she wasn't in any danger" i defended her for once "doesn't matter, she knows the only places shes allowed is the Conference Hall and the school." Dad walked out of the office and i felt like i've just done something bad.

What did i just do?
