1:2
Several years have passed since the tumultuous days of school. I had left behind the shadows of my past and emerged as a confident, self-assured young woman.
The crisp autumn air of Tokyo felt invigorating as I made my way to Tokyo Metropolitan University, the top university in the city. My strides were confident, and the echoes of my past felt distant. High school had been a turbulent time, but university was a new chapter. Here, I was known as the sensation of the campus—confident, cool, and smart. My name, (Y/N), was on everyone's lips, and I was the center of attention.
One semester had passed, and already, I had become the subject of good gossip. I had transformed from the timid girl I once was into someone everyone admired. My closest friends were Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri, all classmates who respected me and brought light-heartedness into my life. Gojo and Geto, with their playful flirtations, never missed a chance to make me laugh, while Shoko was a steady, comforting presence.
As I walked to class, I could feel eyes on me, whispers following in my wake. "That's (Y/N)," they would say. "She's amazing." It was surreal, being the center of attention, but I had grown to enjoy it. I had worked hard to get here, and I wasn't about to let anything or anyone bring me down again.
"(Y/N)," Gojo called out, his signature sunglasses glinting in the sunlight, "you look amazing today. But then again, when don't you?"
I rolled my eyes, smiling. "Keep it up, Gojo. One of these days, you might actually charm someone."
Geto leaned in, his voice smooth. "If you get tired of Gojo's antics, I'm always available, (Y/N)."
"Why do I feel like I'm surrounded by a pair of comedians?" I retorted, laughing. Shoko chuckled beside me, enjoying the banter as much as I did.
Despite their teasing, I cherished my friendship with Gojo and Geto. They respected me, and our playful interactions were a highlight of my day. However, I had never been in a relationship with anyone. It wasn't that I was uninterested; rather, I had yet to meet someone who truly captivated me. I wasn't interested in looks alone; I longed for a connection that went beyond the surface, I wanted someone whose heart raced for me, someone who only saw me in a room full of people. I hadn't found that yet, and I wasn't willing to settle for anything less. Until then, I was content with my friends and my studies.

Classes began, and we all headed to our lecture hall. As the lecture started, our professor, Mr. Hoshino, the physics teacher, was interrupted by another teacher bringing in a transfer student. I didn't pay much attention at first, busy taking notes. The squeals and excited whispers of the girls around me broke my concentration.
"Oh my God, he's so hot!" one of the girls exclaimed.
"Did you see his tattoos? And those eyes!" another one gushed.
I rolled my eyes, exasperated by their reactions. The girl next to me nudged me insistently.
"(Y/N), you have to see him. He's unbelievable."
With a sigh, reluctantly, I lifted my head, glancing toward the front of the room. My eyes landed on the new student, and my heart stopped. He had tattoos on his face and wrists, pink hair, and intense crimson eyes. There was something familiar about him, something that sent a chill down my spine.
I narrowed my eyes, trying to place him. Then it hit me like a punch to the gut.
Sukuna.
The boy who had made my life a living hell in school. The boy who had tormented and bullied me until I was too scared to stand up for myself. He was back, and worse, he was in my class.
I prayed he wouldn't recognize me, that time had changed me enough. But then, Gojo stood up, walking over to Sukuna, putting an arm around his shoulder. Sukuna growled in irritation.
"Everyone, this is Sukuna. He's new here, but he's my neighbor, so play nice," Gojo announced, a grin on his face.
He pointed to the seat behind me and Shoko. "Why don't you sit there?"
He directed Sukuna to the seat. I kept my head down, hoping to remain unnoticed.
As Gojo began to introduce us, Gojo began introducing our group. "This is Geto. This is Shoko, and right here is—"
Before he could finish, I fumbled and dropped my water bottle. It clattered noisily, and I felt everyone's eyes on me.
Gojo stopped, concern etched on his face. I waved it off, but the teacher scolded Gojo for the interruption, directing everyone back to the lecture.
Throughout the lecture, I could feel Sukuna's eyes boring into the back of my head. I tried to focus on the professor, but my mind was racing.
What were the odds that he would end up here, in the same university, in the same class?
I dreaded the end of the lecture, fearing what might happen.
As soon as the class ended, I quickly gathered my things, ready to make a swift exit. But before I could leave, Gojo's voice rang out, loud and clear. "(Y/N), wait up!"
I froze, my heart pounding. Slowly, I turned around to face him. "What is it, Gojo?"
He looked at me with genuine concern. "Are you okay? You've been acting weird."
I glanced at Sukuna, who was watching me with narrowed eyes. Recognition sparked in his gaze, followed by a knowing smirk. He clicked his tongue, and in a low voice, he said something only I could understand.
"Small world huh, princess."
The blood drained from my face. He remembered. Only he was the one who used to call me princess. Of course, that was mockingly, cuz' I was rich and stuff. But he always stuck to that word.
Gojo, oblivious to the tension, clapped Sukuna on the shoulder. "Hey, we're heading to the cafe. You should join us."
Sukuna shrugged, his eyes never leaving mine. "Sure, why not."
"Shoko, (Y/N), you coming?" Geto called out.
Shoko, sensing my discomfort, nodded. "Yeah, we'll be there in a minute."
As the boys walked ahead, Shoko turned to me. "Are you okay, (Y/N)? You look like you've seen a ghost."
I waved my hand and replied, "Oh it's nothing. Just thinking about the upcoming class, ha ha."
She laughed and rolled her eyes and we headed to the café.

We made our way to the campus cafe, my mind racing with thoughts of the past. The cafe was bustling with students, and we found Gojo, Geto, and Sukuna at a table near the window. Gojo waved us over enthusiastically.
"Come on, (Y/N), take a seat!" he called out.
I forced a smile and sat down, feeling Sukuna's eyes on me. The conversation flowed around me, but I could barely focus. I was hyper-aware of Sukuna's presence, the memories of his bullying resurfacing with every glance he threw my way.
"So, Sukuna," Gojo said, leaning back in his chair. "What brings you to Tokyo?"
"Family reasons," Sukuna replied nonchalantly. "Needed a change of scenery."
"Well, welcome to our university," Geto said with a grin. "You'll fit right in."
Sukuna's gaze flicked to me again. "Yeah, I'm sure I will."
I felt a shiver run down my spine. Despite the years that had passed, he still had the power to unsettle me. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves
I kept my focus on my coffee, trying to ignore the way his gaze seemed to burn into me. Shoko, sensing my discomfort, changed the subject, and the conversation moved on. But I couldn't shake off the feeling that Sukuna was watching me, studying me.
Leaving the cafe, I felt a mix of emotions. Seeing Sukuna again had stirred up memories I thought I had buried, but it also reminded me of how much I had grown. I had a support system, friends who cared about me, and a future full of possibilities. No matter what, I wouldn't let the past define me.

After the break, as everyone headed back to class, I felt a hand grab my arm and pull me into the locker room. The door locked behind us, and I was shoved against the cold metal lockers.
Here. This is the moment I have been dreaded since his arrival.
Sukuna. He stood there, his presence dominating the small space.
"Fancy seeing you here, (Y/N)," he drawled, his voice low and dangerous. "You've changed a lot, but not enough to fool me."
I tried to push him away, but he was too strong. "What do you want, Sukuna?"
He leaned in close, his breath hot on my ear. "Just a little trip down memory lane. You might have all these people fooled, but to me, you're still the same pathetic crybaby."
"I'm not scared of you anymore," I shot back, my voice shaking despite my best efforts.
He laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "We'll see about that."
He traced a finger along my jawline, his touch sending shivers down my spine. "Adults have different ways of bullying, you know."
I slapped his hand away, glaring at him. "Stay away from me, Sukuna."
He smirked, stepping back but not before running a finger down my arm. "We'll see how long you can keep up this act. You're still that scared little girl to me."
With that, he turned and walked out, leaving me trembling. I slumped against the lockers, trying to steady my breathing. The years had changed us both, but the dynamic between us felt all too familiar. I had to stay strong, had to remember that I wasn't that timid girl anymore. But the fear and memories he evoked were hard to shake off.
As the afternoon wore on, I couldn't shake the feeling of unease. The past I had worked so hard to overcome was now staring me in the face, and I wasn't sure how to handle it. But one thing was certain: I wouldn't let Sukuna ruin the life I had built for myself. I was stronger now, and I would face whatever came my way with the same determination that had brought me this far.
The rest of the day passed in a blur. I barely registered the lectures or the conversations around me. My friends noticed my distraction, but I brushed off their concerns, too overwhelmed to explain.

When classes finally ended, I couldn't shake the discomfort Sukuna's reappearance had caused. But I wasn't the scared little girl he once knew. I decided that I needed to take control of the situation. I wanted to show him that he couldn't intimidate me anymore. An idea began to form in my mind—a plan to humble him just a bit.I gathered my courage and decided to confront Sukuna in my own way.
I made my way over to where Gojo and Sukuna were seated, Gojo chatting animatedly while Sukuna listened with a bored expression.
"Hey, Gojo," I said sweetly, my tone laced with a hint of mockery.
Gojo turned to me, his trademark grin widening. "(Y/N)! What's on your mind?"
I glanced over at Sukuna, who rolled his eyes but couldn't hide a flicker of curiosity in his crimson gaze. "I was thinking," I began, my smile widening as I focused on Sukuna, "maybe we should throw a party for Sukuna here."
Gojo's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "A party? That's a great idea! What do you say, Sukuna?"
Sukuna's expression darkened for a moment, a mixture of annoyance and something else passing over his features. He knew exactly what I was implying—mocking his discomfort at settling in. But to everyone else, it just seemed like a friendly suggestion.
"I don't need a party," Sukuna replied curtly, his voice tinged with irritation.
"Oh, come on," Gojo insisted, oblivious to the tension between us. "It'll be fun! We'll get to know each other better."
I kept my gaze steady on Sukuna, the smile on my lips unwavering. "Exactly. Sukuna could use some friends to help him settle in."
Sukuna's jaw clenched, but he said nothing. His eyes locked onto mine, a silent challenge passing between us. He understood my mocking tone, my thinly veiled attempt to humiliate him. And yet, there was something in his gaze—a defiance, a refusal to back down.
Gojo clasped his hands together and then clapped Sukuna on his back.. "Alright, then! Party it is. I'll organize everything. Sukuna, you better show up!"
With that, Gojo launched into plans for the party, his enthusiasm infectious. I excused myself, leaving Sukuna and Gojo behind. As I walked away, I couldn't shake the feeling of Sukuna's intense gaze on my back.
I had tried to assert myself, to show Sukuna that I wasn't the same girl he had bullied in school. But deep down, I knew that our past would always haunt us, shaping our interactions in ways neither of us could fully escape
