MIAH AND Scott lay beside one another cuddling while sleeping.

Scott squints hearing his phone vibrate beside Miah on his bedside table.

"Hey man. What's up?" Scott asks answering the phone call from Stiles's number.

After a while of silence on the other line Scott frowns confused.

"Stiles? Stiles? You there?" Scott asks softly trying to avoid waking his girlfriend beside him.

"Scott? Hey. I'm here." Stiles whispers from the other end of the phone call.

Scott looks at Miah's sleeping figure before standing up from his bed, "Are you okay? Can you hear me?" Scott asks.

"Scott... I don't know where I am. I don't know how I got here. I think I was sleepwalking." Stiles rambles anxiously.

"Okay, um, can you see anything? Just tell me what you see?" Scott asks worried for his best friend.

"Uh. It's dark. It's hard to see. I think there's something wrong with my..." Stiles starts to explain before the phone call abruptly ends.

Scott sighs dialling Stiles's number one again, "Hey," Stiles's voice is heard, "Stiles?" Scott urges.

"This is Stiles and you missed me. Leave a message." Stiles's voice echoes through Scott's phone.

Miah groans waking up from the movement around her boyfriend's room, "Scott?" Miah asks.

Seeing Scott panicking on his phone only getting Stiles's voicemail over and over.

"God. Come on. Come on." Scott mutters into the phone looking at Miah worriedly.

Miah shoots out of the bed seeing the panicked state her boyfriend's in, dialing Stiles's number once again.

"Stiles?" Scott urges hearing someone pick up on the other line.

"Scott... I don't think I can get out of here. I can't move." Stiles whispers, "Where are you?" Scott asks looking at Miah.

"I don't know. I don't know. It's too dark. I can't see much and something's wrong with my leg. It's stuck on something and it's... I think it's bleeding." Stiles explains.

Miah sighs nervously, "How bad?" Miah asks putting Scott's phone on speaker so she can hear what Stiles is saying.

"Stiles, how bad is it?" Scott asks.

"Stiles, are you there? Can you hear me?" Scott asks once again, "Ah. There's some kind of smell down here. Something smells terrible. It's brutal. My eyes are watering." Stiles mumbles.

"Okay... listen. Miah's calling your dad." Scott states, "No. No. No. No. Don't." Stiles rushes out.

"But your dad." Scott starts to say only for Stiles to cut him off.

"Don't. Just please... don't call him. Promise you won't. He already worries about me too much. Miah, Scott, please." Stiles worries.

"But what if we can't find you? Stiles, I can't make a promise like that." Scott states.

"No, no, no. Just please... please, don't call him. Come find me. You can do it. He doesn't have to know. Scott, Miah, you can find me." Stiles states.

"I don't know if I can do this." Scott says shaking his head, "Oh. I gotta call you back. I have to turn the phone off." Stiles says all of a sudden.

Miah looks at Scott panicked, "What? No. Hey, wait!" Scott says, "I'm gonna call you back." Stiles says.

"Hold on. Stiles... wait. Hold on, man." Scott states panicked.

While Miah rushes out of the room shouting Isaac's name for help.

Scott begins getting clothes out of set of drawers near his bedroom door also calling Isaac's name.

Miah looks at Isaac panicked seeing him opening his bedroom door confused, "Come on." Miah motions towards the shouting Scott.

"Isaac! Isaac! Get up. I need your help!" Scott shouts.

Isaac rushes into the bedroom behind Miah, "What? What's wrong?" Isaac asks, "It's Stiles. Get dressed." Scott demands.

"What's wrong with Stiles?" Isaac asks frowning, "I don't know." Scott states shaking his head scared for Stiles's safety.

Miah grabs her sweater off Scott's chair beside his bed before dropping the object hearing a quiet whisper in her ear.

"Mi? Baby, you okay?" Scott asks noticing Miah's tense shoulders.

Before the blonde can respond Scott's phone begins ringing once again.

"Stiles." Scott answers the phone after the second ring, "Did you call him? Did you call my dad?" Stiles whispers.

"No. Just Isaac and of course Miah. We're coming to find you. Can you figure out where you are? Try to find something and tell us where to look." Scott explains looking at both Miah and Isaac who glance at the true alpha worried.

"It's a basement. I think... I think I'm in some kind of basement." Stiles says, "In a house?" Scott asks.

"No. It looks bigger. Like, industrial. I think there's a furnace. But it's cold... it's freezing down here," Stiles explains shakily, all three look at once another with another worried look.

"I gotta turn the...I gotta turn the phone off, Scott. It's going to die." Stiles says.

"Wait. Wait, wait! What else is there? What do you see? Miah might be able to track you with her magic." Scott asks.

"The phone's dying. I can't talk. I have to go, please." Stiles states quickly.

Miah and Scott look out one another frowning, "S, why are you whispering?" Miah asks.

"Because I think there's someone in here with me." Stiles shakily states before hanging up the phone.

After Stiles's abrupt ending to the phone call and whispering that someone or something else might be in the dark space with him.

Miah feels like she's losing her mind, from the faint voices and the echoes inside her head.

Miah, Scott and Isaac all end up at the Stilinski household frowning at the sudden figures standing inside Stiles's bedroom.

"You heard it too?" Lydia asks looking at her cousin who nods shakily.

"How did you know? Did he call you, too?" Scott asks not hearing Lydia and Miah's conversation beforehand.

"I heard it and so did Miah." Lydia states looking at Miah who is already looking at her boyfriend and Isaac.

Isaac frowns confused going to open his mouth to ask questions, "Don't ask. It gets more confusing when you ask." Aiden explains looking at the confused beta.

"Okay." Isaac whispers, Miah looks at Stiles's bed noticing the pair of scissors stabbed into the mattress.

"Not as confusing as this," Lydia states motioning towards the bed showing Scott and Isaac.

"He uses red for unsolved cases." Lydia explains, "Maybe he thinks he's part of an unsolved case?" Aiden suggests.

"Or is an unsolved case?" Isaac mumbles.

Lydia looks at Miah growing pale before realising that they haven't mentioned finding Stiles yet.

"Hold on. Is he still out there? You don't know where he is?" Lydia asks and Miah shakes her head, "He said that he was in an industrial basement somewhere." Scott explains.

"We came here to get a better scent." Isaac states, "Plus I needed something to use my tracking magic but I can't really do that at the moment. I'm weak for some reason." Miah explains seeing the worried looks Lydia, Scott, Isaac and Aiden give her.

"What else did he say?" Lydia asks, "Something's wrong with his leg. It's bleeding." Scott anxiously explains, "And he's freezing." Isaac adds.

"Tonight's the coldest night of the year. It's going to drop into the twenties." Aiden states, "What did his dad say?" Lydia asks.

"We kind of... we didn't tell him yet." Scott mumbles.

"Stiles is bleeding and freezing and you didn't call his dad?" Lydia incredulously asks, "He made me promise not to. Miah as well." Scott states.

"We can find him by scent. If he was sleepwalking... he couldn't have gotten far. Right?" Scott asks.

Miah notices the anxious look Aiden is giving them, "You didn't notice his jeep is gone... did you?" Aiden asks.

Miah sighs before falling backwards landing in Isaac's arms as he was closet to the mage hybrid.

"Woah." Scott mumbles worried for his girlfriend.

"I'm okay. Sorry just dizzy. Thanks Ike." Miah mumbles standing up once more and nodding at Scott showing she's okay.

Lydia begins dialling Noah Stilinski's number on her phone, "You both promised you wouldn't call his dad. I didn't." Lydia states putting her mobile towards her ear waiting for the father of the missing friend to pick up his phone.

"Wait. Lydia, hold on. I can get more help. I can call Derek. Allison." Scott states.

Miah scoffs lightly alongside Lydia, "Everyone except for the cops. Good idea." Lydia states.

"You guys remember she only gets these feelings when someone's about to die, right? And apparently so does Miah here... who's already nearly fainted tonight." Aiden states pointing at the blonde leaning against the wall beside her boyfriend.

"You don't have to call his dad. It's five minutes to the station." Scott sighs looking at Miah who nods handing him her car keys.

Miah looks at her cousin silently having a conversation with her, "We'll catch up." Miah states.

Aiden goes to leave with the boys, "What? Why?" Scott asks confused.

"There's something here." Lydia states quietly looking at Miah beside her nodding looking around the room, "Yeah. Evidence of total insanity." Isaac mumbles.

"Don't make me hit you, Isaac." Miah says knowing the subject of Stiles is a bit heavy at the moment, "My bad. Sorry." Isaac whispers.

"We can figure out what's wrong with him after we find a way to keep him from freezing to death." Scott states.

"Go. We'll be right behind you." Lydia says.

"Be safe." Miah says kissing Scott goodbye, Isaac and Scott then rush out of the Stilinski Household towards the Sheriff Station.

Miah stands beside Lydia and Aiden looking around the room questionably.

The blonde mage hybrid walks towards the photographs on the board with labels around it.

Feeling a sudden pull towards one of the pictures, after receiving a text message from her boyfriend.

Miah explains to Aiden and Lydia that the others are splitting up with no luck of finding him at the hospital where his jeep was left.

"Didn't you draw this?" Aiden asks holding up a framed photograph of the nemeton tree.

"Put that back." Lydia whispers, "It's yours, right?" Aiden asks amused.

"It's one of them. I guess." Lydia shrugs, "Put it down. I'm sure if you were missing and Stiles or anyone... was in your bedroom, you wouldn't want them touching your personal belongings would you?" Miah asks.

Aiden quickly puts the framed artwork down on Stiles's bedside table.

"He likes you a lot. Doesn't he?" Aiden smirks noticing Miah going back to what she was doing earlier, "Maybe he likes the drawing a lot?" Lydia shrugs.

"For Lydia." Aiden says reading one of the nearby cards from a present.

"Okay." Lydia states taking the item off Aiden before hearing Miah's phone ding with a message on the bed.

"'Nothing at hospital. Derek headed to high school. Isaac going to find Allison'. And Scott's with the Sheriff." Lydia reads the message knowing Miah won't mind.

Miah continues staring at the wall of photographs still feeling the sudden pull, "And we're standing in a bedroom staring at the walls." Aiden states.

Lydia smiles at him before walking towards where Miah's standing, Aiden runs his fingers along the red string.

Voices are heard from around the room both Lydia and Miah turn around.

"What did you just do? Did you touch one of the strings?" Lydia asks, "Maybe." Aiden states.

Miah looks at Lydia already standing beside her from before, the strawberry blonde leans down pulling one of the strings once again allowing the voices to spread around the room.

"What did that sound like to you?" Lydia asks confused by the sudden sound.

Miah looks around walking towards the leaderboard with photographs once again sensing the voices wanting to show her something, not listening to the 'couple' bickering in the background.

"They're whispering. Something about a house." Lydia mumbles before noticing Miah staring at something on the wall.

"What house?" Aiden asks confused, "The one Miah's standing in front of..." Lydia explains.

Aiden frowns walking closer to the photograph seeing the mage hybrids face staring into the photo.

"What's Eichen House?" Aiden asks snapping Miah out of her staring contest before the mage hybrid looks at her cousin behind her.

"It's a mental health centre. It's where William Barrow... the Shrapnel Bomber, was committed." Miah explains.

"Is that it?" Aiden asks now aware that Lydia and Miah share the same abilities.

"That's where he is. That's where Stiles is." Lydia states firmly.

Lydia, Aiden and Miah all rush out of the Stilinski household with Miah on the phone to Scott telling the true alpha and sheriff to meet them at Eichen House as that's where Stiles is.

After a fifteen minute drive to the centre, Miah rushes out of the vehicle seeing her boyfriend looking at her worriedly.

Lydia looks at the eery, dark and mysterious building ahead of them, "Miah, Lydia. I don't want to say, 'Are you sure about this?', But—" Sheriff Stilinski states unsure at the discovery the two Martin's have stated.

"No. He's here. I swear to god he's here." Lydia states firmly looking at her cousin who nods agreeing with the strawberry blonde.

Sheriff Stilinski soon starts rushing into the building, "I need access to all basement rooms in this facility." Noah states urgently to the reception worker.

The receptionist quickly gives them the nod of approval before the whole group rush further into the building towards the basement.

MIAH FROWNS feeling the sudden shift of air around her feeling the sudden burning sensation in the middle of her palms.

Miah doesn't even hesitate in listening to the voices and rushes out of the building using her were-coyote abilities.

Also letting the voices guide her into the woods towards where Scott, Stiles and herself found Malia's hiding spot for all of those years.

Miah looks around feeling the air shift beneath her feet before a sudden whimpering is heard coming from deeper inside the den.

"Stiles?" Miah whispers seeing the boy hugging himself in his dream like state, before suddenly three other figures approach the den.

"Miah?" Melissa frowns seeing the blonde girl trying to sooth the frantic screaming boy outside of the den once Rafael McCall drags him out by the legs.

"Wait!" Stiles screams out while Melissa and Miah try to sooth him, "Stiles, you're all right, okay? You're all right. Stiles, you're all right." Melissa states soothing the boy down realising his woken up from his nightmare.

"Mims?" Stiles whispers seeing the blonde girl looking down at him, "Hey S. You had us worried." Miah states.

After a while of letting the boy calm down in Miah and Melissa's arms the paramedics take him into an ambulance, "Mr McCall?" Miah asks suddenly.

Rafael turns around after hearing his name being called, "Thank you. Melissa explained to me how you helped find Stiles." Miah states.

"No worries, Miss Martin." Mr McCall nods before the figure from earlier steps into the light.

"Moonlight... bug?" the voice asks seeing the blonde mage hybrid for the first time in two years.

Miah squints before seeing the light shining on the figure, gasping out a breath, "Dad?" Miah sobs seeing the man rushing towards her.

"Dad. Oh my gosh!" Miah exclaims embracing the man she thought she lost with her family two years ago.

"Hey, Moonlight. My little bug." Joel whispers embracing his eldest daughter in his arms for the first time in two years, "How? What?" Miah gasps.

"I'll explain everything soon. We've got to get to the hospital so you can see how your friend is doing." Joel explains seeing Miah nod before following after him and Melissa.

Arriving at the hospital, Joel nods for his daughter to rush inside to get updates on her friend and reunite with her friends.

"Mi? Oh my god." Scott states seeing his girlfriend come into the hospital with a wet face from her tears.

"Any updates on Stiles?" Miah asks looking at Scott who nods, "Yeah. His resting at the moment. Are you okay?" Scott asks wiping the tears away from her face.

"My dad..." Miah whispers before embracing Scott in a tight hug, "Your dad?" Scott frowns confused.

"My dad's alive. He helped saved Stiles with your mother and father." Miah explains.

"What? How?" Scott asks shocked by the sudden news of his girlfriend's father being alive.

"He told me he'll explain everything later." Miah states not even thinking about anything and connecting her lips to Scott's in a much needed passionate kiss.

"You were there when they found Stiles?" Scott asks, "Yeah. When we walked into Eichen... I don't know. I felt a sudden burning sensation and just followed the voices." Miah explains and Scott looks at the blonde with so much love in his eyes.

Lydia tightly wraps her arms around Miah's frame seeing her sitting in the waiting room.

"Sorry if I scared you. I didn't mean too. I just felt the sudden urge to just go." Miah explains seeing Lydia shaking her head and leaning her head on her shoulder.

"I'm just glad you're okay. That's all." Lydia states, before Sheriff Stilinski walks over to where they're seated.

"He's sleeping now and he's just fine. He doesn't remember much. It's a bit like a dream to him. Although he remembers Miah finding him," Stilinski explains before looking at Rafael McCall standing beside Melissa.

"Thank you." Stilinski states, "It was that repellent we sprayed in the coyote den to keep other animals out. I couldn't go near it without my eyes watering. It's just a good thing he mentioned it over the phone." Rafael explains.

"No. It was more than that. Thank you." Stilinski states, "It was a lucky connection." Rafael shrugs.

"McCall. Can you shut up please and accept my sincerest gratitude?" Stilinski asks, "Accepted." Rafael says nodding.

"All right. You three... you've got school in less than six hours. Go home and get some sleep." Melissa instructs.

Miah looks around for her father seeing him at the reception desk waiting for her and Lydia already.

"Okay." Scott nods hugging his mother goodbye and goodnight.

Lydia softly grabs Miah's hand, "I don't know what happened. I was so sure." Lydia says.

"Yeah... I wasn't much help, either. Doesn't matter, if he's okay." Scott states looking at the strawberry blonde.

Miah looks around hearing a sudden clanging sound noticing Lydia frowning and looking around also.

"Mi? Lydia... do you hear something?" Scott asks seeing the looks of confusion on their faces.

Miah shakes her head no, "No. I didn't hear anything." Lydia states as the three teenagers walk towards the exit, Lydia gasps seeing the man leaning on the reception desk.

"Joel?" Lydia asks, "Hey kiddo." Joel says and Lydia immediately rushes into the man's arms, "You're alive?" Lydia whispers looking at her non blood related uncle.

"I'm alive, kiddo. Come on. Let's get you two home." Joel states before Miah leans into Scott's side.

"Dad...this is Scott. Scott... this is my dad, Joel." Miah states going backwards and forwards in introducing them to each other, "Ah. The boyfriend?" Joel asks growing serious.

"Yes. My boyfriend dad and he's amazing. And also staying at ours tonight." Miah states seeing the shocked look on Joel's face.

"Well Scott... it's nice to fully meet you." Joel says shaking Scott's hand leading the teenagers outside of the hospital and taking them home to sleep for school in six hours.

THE NEXT morning Miah, Lydia and Scott walk downstairs hearing a conversation and laughs in-between Joel and Natalie in the kitchen.

"Morning." Miah states making herself known to the adults while Lydia and Scott follow the mage hybrid into the kitchen.

"Morning bug." Joel says, Miah embraces the fact her father is alive and well.

"Oh. I missed that of a morning." Miah sighs in comfort, "Me too... my little bug. It took me a while to find you. But I eventually did it with the help of Deucalion and Mr McCall." Joel explains.

"Well... I'm glad you're back. I'll see you after school. I love you." Miah states holding her finger in the air as her father connects his pinky finger with hers.

"Later bug." Joel nods, "Bye, Ms Martin. Mr..." Scott stops realising he doesn't know Joel's last name.

"Martin or Hale, son. Whatever you choose." Joel states shocking Scott even more at the fact the man's a Hale, "Hale? Like Derek Hale?" Scott asks confused.

"Derek. Yes...my younger brother." Joel nods seeing the shocked looks on Miah, Lydia and Scott's faces, "Wait? I'm related to Derek and I didn't even know?" Miah frowns.

"Sorry bug. You know now though." Joel shrugs smiling at the teenagers faces, "All right. School time. Go, chop, chop!" Joel claps.

Scott, Miah and Lydia rush outside into their vehicles and shortly arrive at school ten minutes after the news of Miah being a Hale was dropped on them.

Walking through the school, Miah frowns seeing her father and Derek walking towards her on a mission, "Dad? Derek. What are you two doing here?" Miah asks.

"Looking for Kira... and catching up with my brother. Sorry I didn't tell you Star." Derek flinches when Miah hits him on the arm.

"How dare you not tell me we're related Derek. I'm so betrayed... I'm kidding. Kira should be upstairs. I've got to catch up with Scott." Miah explains seeing Derek nodding at her before smiling at her father beside him.

"See you later dad, Der." Miah waves skipping in the direction of the locker rooms knowing Scott is sitting in there texting Deaton, "Hey. You okay?" Miah asks coming up beside the male.

"Just worried about Stiles, Mi." Scott answers, "Me too. But I'm here for you always." Miah says walking off in the direction of the exit not really paying attention to Kira calling their names behind them.

Miah flinches alongside Lydia as a locker slams near them startling both of them, "You girls okay?" Scott asks noticing their panicked looks.

"Yeah. I'm just a little hypersensitive to loud sounds today." Lydia explains, "Same. It's quite overwhelming." Miah frowns.

"They're doing tests on Stiles all afternoon. I was going to go over at around six o'clock to visit. You both want to come with me?" Scott asks.

"Yeah. I'll come." Miah nods flinching at another locker slam, "I should probably just go home." Lydia mumbles.

"You sure you're okay?" Scott frowns, "Yeah. I'll text you later. Memi, come with me for a minute please?" Lydia whispers.

Miah nods, "I'll meet you outside in ten?" Miah states seeing Scott nod at her.

Miah flinches around as does Lydia hearing things slam all around them.

"I'll be home later okay. We'll talk soon?" Miah says, Lydia nods before leaving the school grounds.

MIAH WALKS towards Scott's motorcycle seeing her already holding a helmet out towards the blonde.

"Thanks handsome." Miah says tightly holding onto Scott's waistline as the couple make their way towards the hospital to see how Stiles is doing.

Scott and Miah look at one another as the doctor asks Stilinski questions, "I feel like I shouldn't be in here." Miah mumbles.

"Mims... you're one of my closest friends and Scott's like my brother. Trust me, you're someone I want in here with me." Stiles explains looking at the blonde who nods before the doctor.

Stilinski and Melissa walk into the private office beside the room, "You know what they're looking for, right?" Stiles asks noticing Scott's nervously playing with his hands and Miah already looking at him with a tearful gaze.

"It's called frontotemporal dementia. Areas of your brain start to shrink. It's what my mother had. It's the only form of dementia that can hit teenagers and there's no cure." Stiles explains.

Miah inhales deeply not wanting to break down at the news.

Stiles motions for the blonde girl to sit down beside him seeing tears coming to her cheeks.

Scott closes his eyes also not wanting to break down at the thought of losing his best friend, "Stiles... if you have it. We'll do something," Scott states.

Miah softly grabs Stiles's hand, seeing Scott and Stiles having a silent conversation.

"I'll do something." Scott states firmly nodding at his best friend immediately bringing him in for a much needed hug.

Miah sits on the side of them sniffling before Stiles suddenly brings her into the hug.

The three close friends hug one another tightly before breaking apart so the MRI can begin.

DEREK, JOEL and Kira all pull into the parking lot downstairs, Kira stops suddenly leaving the two brothers looking at her confused, "I don't know if I should go in," Kira says.

Derek tilts his head in confusion, "You're going to tell Scott that Barrow might have used foxfire. Created by me and Miah's chaos magic to jump-start the Nogitsune's power inside Stiles." Kira states.

"Yeah?" Derek nods, "Basically... that I helped a dark spirit take control of his best friend and possibly might end up killing Miah?" Kira suggests.

Joel inhales at the mention of his only daughter dying at the hands of the nogitsune.

"You should probably wait here." Derek nods looking at Joel who nods also before walking inside to meet up with Miah and Scott in the waiting room.

After sitting in silence for fifteen minutes, Scott looks at Derek and Joel sitting beside one another and Miah zoning in and out of sleep, growing pale as the clanging begins echoing inside her head.

"You know the stuff you were telling me about chemo-signals earlier? It reminded me of the time you were teaching me to use anger to control the shift." Scott says.

"I think you ended up teaching me more about that." Derek states smiling.

"Are you teaching me again?" Scott asks, "Think of it as sharing a few trade secrets." Derek shrugs.

"You know... I took Cora back to South America, right? It's where she spent most of her time after the fire. But that's not the only reason I left. I needed to talk to my mother." Derek explains looking at Joel beside him watching his daughter squinting from the pain inside her head, "Your dead mother?" Scott asks confused.

"She told me something that changed my perspective on a lot of things. She said that my family didn't just live in Beacon Hills. They protected it. Thus town needs someone to protect it. Someone like you and Miah." Derek nods.

"And someone like you to teach me a few trade secrets." Scott smiles, before realising something.

"What?" Derek asks, "He was trying to protect us. Stiles was protecting us." Scott states.

"From himself." Derek says, Miah stands up suddenly and runs upstairs towards the roof feeling the sudden urge to release a wailing scream.

Scott, Derek and Joel all run after the mage hybrid towards the roof.

Miah inhales deeply focusing on her control seeing Scott, Derek and her father come through the door looking around noticing something.

"Moonlight... bug. You okay?" Joel asks noticing the pale and sweaty Miah to the side of them, "What are we looking for?" Derek asks frowning.

"I'm not sure. But I think Stiles wasn't just up here struggling with himself. I think he was struggling not to do something." Scott explains standing near the gated area pulling down a bag full of tools looking at Miah, Derek and Joel worriedly before noticing the broken wiring above them.

Miah begins covering her eyes as the clanging sound becomes too much and Joel notices backing away from his daughter, "Mi?" Scott asks walking closer to the blonde.

"Mi, baby. Scream!" Scott demands, Miah drops to the ground on her knees releasing a agonising wail out of her mouth, before snapping out of the zone realising something's going to happen.

"I'll be right back." Miah shouts racing downstairs knowing someone is about to die downstairs from all of the chaos that's about to be unleashed.
