047, the last chimera

DESPITE FEELING absolutely nothing, Miah rushes through the doors of the emergency department towards the basement knowing Stiles and the others are down there waiting for her.

"Stiles. Hey. I'm here," Miah voices embracing the clearly stressed male, "Any news?" Miah questions looking at Melissa who's shocked seeing Miah actually showed up.

"Come on. Let's sit down?" Miah suggests gesturing towards the seats of the waiting area to hear any news about the Sheriff's state.

After what feels like forever, Miah looks up seeing Melissa walking towards the two of them with a soft look on her face.

Stiles awakens from Miah's shoulder with a gasp and is startled by the sight of Melissa kneeling in front of him.

"He's okay. Dr. Geyer is stitching him up right now." Melissa explains seeing Miah gently place her hand in Stiles's for support.

"Okay. I wanna see him." Stiles states still a little bit groggily since he was just startled awake by the woman.

"Okay, okay... the anesthesia needs to wear off. It's gonna be at least two hours." Melissa gently says.

"Okay, yeah, but everything's gonna be okay, though? I mean, he's okay?" Stiles anxiously quizzes, "Mmhmm. He's gonna be just fine." Melissa nods with a smile.

"Oh, thank god." Stiles shakily exhales latching tightly onto Miah's hand, "He's gonna be alright, Stiles." Miah whispers gently placing her head on the emotional teenager.

"I know you and Scott aren't doing the best. Thanks for coming, Mims." Stiles whispers.

"Of course." Miah responds with a nod before standing up offering her hand out for Stiles to take so the two of them can go back downstairs to await for Stiles's dad to wake up.

Miah scoffs looking at all the texts from Theo flowing into her phone asking where she is.

"Are you doing alright, sweetheart?" Melissa questions after a while of Miah sitting alone on one of the chairs.

"I'm fine. Thanks Melissa." Miah responds frowning as she feels the air around her becoming tense and Stilinski's EKG monitor beeping like crazy.

"What the?" Miah whispers feeling the powerful force coming from inside of her body towards the dying man.

Stiles begins to frantically pace around the outside of his dad's room in panic.

"What do you mean, 'You don't know?' Two hours ago, he was fine! Now it looks like somebody took a baseball bat to his neck." Stiles furiously shouts looking at Dr Geyer.

"There could've been some minor internal..." Dr Geyer begins to explain.

"Did you say "minor internal?" Since when is anything internal minor?" Stiles questions cutting the doctor off furiously.

Miah gulps inhaling Scott's scent and the blood lingering from him as well.

"Stiles..." Melissa voices noticing Miah taking a step back and looking over towards where Scott has just stepped out of the elevator.

"I need to know what's going on with him, okay? Dr. Geyer, somebody needs to tell me what's happening. Somebody needs to tell me what's happening to him!" Stiles demands in shouts.

"We don't know..." Melissa lowly explains noticing Stiles look up seeing Scott looking into his dad's room.

"No. No. Stiles!" Miah voices trying to stop the angry boy in rushing out and taking out his stress on Scott.

"Get out of my way, Mims." Stiles orders, Miah looks at Stilinski once again still feeling the powerful pull of poison coming from his veins and the non stop vibration of her phone receiving text messages.

Stiles stomps past the blonde girl lunging himself at Scott while yelling at him.

Stiles grabs him by the front of the shirt and slams him against the wall knocking the phone off the wall.

"Melissa." Miah exclaims seeing the mini blood stain on Scott's shirt from the battle with Theo earlier that night.

Melissa and Dr Geyer rush towards the groaning and grunting teenagers along with Miah─ who still isn't feeling anything but the power surging throughout her body.

The blonde girl and ex girlfriend of the true alpha notices Scott staring up at Stiles in shock and also not doing anything to defend himself and allows Stiles to tackle him onto the ground without interference.

"Where were you? You trusted him? You believed him? Right? Huh? So, where were you?" Stiles yells directly into Scott's face while Dr Geyer yanks Stiles off of Scott and Melissa helps her son to his feet.

Miah stays back not wanting to be close to her ex boyfriend at the moment but also in close proximity if she needs to jump in and hold the two boys apart from one another, "Hey, hey, hey..." Melissa shouts.

Stiles struggles against Dr Geyer's hold and attempts to lunge for Scott again, "Where the hell were you?" Stiles furiously screams.

"Stop it!" Melissa orders in a shout, "Stiles. Stop!" Miah shouts making herself known behind the teenager.

"Okay. All right. All right." Stiles mumbles looking straight at the blonde girl along with Scott looking at her softly considering the last time he saw her she was threatening his life.

"Are you alright?" Miah questions now stood in-front of Scott, "Fine. Thanks." Scott whispers.

Said male looks at Stiles with an apologetic expression, visibly hurt by Stiles's anger as well as feeling guilty for what happened to the Sheriff.

"Look, your dad's not the only one who got hurt..." Scott explains with a huff of air.

Stiles scoffs and rolls his eyes as he cuts Scott off with a withering glare, "Oh, you'll heal!" Stiles mutters while Miah stands beside him now.

Scott looks down at his torso noticing the bloody stain before self consciously tugging his jean jacket over it to cover it up from Dr Geyer's curious gaze.

Before he sighs and looks at Stiles with an exhausted and bone-weary expression.

"I'm not talking about me." Scott explains looking directly at Miah and then Stiles.

"No." Miah fearfully whispers actually feeling a pang of sadness rush through her in realisation that Lydia─ her cousin's been hurt during all of this.

Miah doesn't hesitate in excusing herself and rushing upstairs towards the ward where Lydia's currently being treated noticing her aunt in the room, "Aunt Nat." Miah mumbles fearfully.

"Oh, Miah." Natalie exclaims in relief seeing her niece entering the hospital room, "Is she alright?" Miah questions scared.

"No. She's not, honey. She's got hypothermia and she's also in a catatonic state." Natalie explains placing her hand on Miah's back seeing the tears forming in Miah's eyes at the thought of losing her cousin.

Natalie and Miah sit on the guest chairs in Lydia's hospital room while Miah watches her aunt run her hand across Lydia's forehead and Miah traces her thumb over Lydia's cold hands in sadness.

"Everything's going to be all right, Lydia. We're going to get you the best medical care. The best doctors, the best everything." Natalie explains while Lydia moves her head towards Miah.

Miah frowns hearing Lydia's voice inside her head, 'Don't trust him.' before looking at the doorway almost like she can feel Stiles's presence.

Stiles appears in the doorway with a shocked and heartbroken look on his face taking in Lydia's state.

Natalie notices him after a while and immediately her expression changes from devastation to pure fury as she jumps to her feet and rushes toward him to shove him out of the room.

"No! No you don't. You're not coming in here. Get out!" Natalie exclaims loudly.

Stiles looks at Natalie overwhelmed by his worry for his father and now Lydia confused about why Natalie is acting this way, "Aunt Nat. Calm down." Miah sniffles still seated beside Lydia's bedside.

Stiles struggles to make his way past her so he can confirm his theory of what's happened.

"Just wait! Wait! I think I know who did this, okay? I just need to look at the back of her neck..." Stiles voices trying to explain what's going on.

Due to the stress and heartbreak Natalie's rage becomes more present and her voice becomes louder and more menacing as she continues to shove Stiles roughly on the chest.

"I know who did this! You! All of you! You dragged my sweet Miah into all of this too! Get out!" Natalie orders shouting at the stunned brunette boy.

"Aunt Nat! Stop!" Miah exclaims trying to stop her aunt from crying out and dragging attention to their room.

"Come on! Please, you just gotta listen to me. You just gotta check the back..." Stiles suggests, "Just get out!" Natalie shouts hysterically.

"Mims, get her to check the back of her neck!" Stiles states looking at Miah and making eye contact with the blonde girl who confirms she will with a nod.

"Out!" Natalie continues shouting finally getting Stiles out of the room slamming the door in his face before pressing her body on the door so it remains shut and Stiles can't force his way in.

"Aunt Nat. We need to check the back of her neck." Miah suggests capturing her aunts attention seeing Natalie slowly nodding in agreement.

Miah gently places her hands on Lydia's head moving it to the side nice and slowly so Natalie and herself can look at the back of her neck.

Natalie pushes Lydia's hair off of the nape of her neck to find that there are four vertical cuts running from her hairline to the top of her thoracic spine.

Miah gasps suddenly remembering something from a few hours ago, her being in the woods alongside Theo walking away from Lydia.

Miah also remembers smirking mischievously at her cousins wide eyed look staring at her as she leaves without helping her.

Natalie looks at Miah horrified by the sight on her daughter's neck and gasps realising Stiles was in fact right about that part, "Oh, god..." Natalie mumbles in shock.

Suddenly, Lydia─ who is still catatonic and has been staring blankly at the far wall since Miah turned her head in that direction, begins to mumble the words that Miah and Natalie know well enough.

"I told you to stay in the car. I told you to stay in the car." Lydia raspily voices.

Miah shoots up from her seated position in horror remembering the memory from last night of leaving Lydia in this state and also feeling an electric shock run through her system from Lydia's hand.

'Save us all. You're the one who can. You're the blood mage, Memi.' Lydia's voice demands in Miah's head making Miah gasp.

"I've gotta go. Sorry, Aunt Nat." Miah murmurs rushing out of the room leaving Natalie concerned and horrified by this recent turn of events.

MEANWHILE IN the morgue, Scott, Stiles, Melissa, and Parrish have gathered to discuss Theo and the possible plans regarding Miah.

"It could be a side effect of shock." Parrish suggests, "She's catatonic. It was Theo digging his way through her mind." Stiles explains.

Scott frowns in confusion still not understanding why Miah was here in the first place, "Why would he do that? What is he looking for?" Melissa questions.

"The same thing he's always looking for... an advantage. And if Miah's on his side, then he definitely has one. That didn't feel like Miah earlier... until I mentioned Lydia was hurt." Scott states.

"So what did he gain by trying to kill Stilinski?" Parrish quizzes.

"It left me alone with Liam. Theo wanted to make sure no one would be there to stop him from... killing me. And I guess with my death and revival, it woke up Miah's blood mage side." Scott sighs.

"Okay, so he gutted my dad as a distraction?" Stiles scoffs, "We need to find this kid." Parrish firmly states.

"Isn't that a little dangerous? Especially since he almost killed my kid? And he's also turned my kid's girlfriend... kind of evil?" Melissa questions irritably.

"Yeah, but he said he didn't want my dad to die. And neither did Miah. After all, she came and sat with me while he was in surgery. Why would she do that if she didn't care?" Stiles wonders.

"And you believe him? What if Miah was here just to get the inside story and then she'll run it back to Theo?" Parrish questions sceptically.

"He told me where to find him. So, maybe he also knows how to save him. Miah, on the other hand... I think she's the one in charge, blood mages don't take well to instructions. And I also don't think she would do that. I mean... she stayed for a while." Stiles responds.

"What do you want to do, then? Talk to them?" Melissa irritably inquires, "If it saves my dad, then yeah." Stiles mutters.

"I'll come with you. He doesn't know that I'm alive... at least I don't think he does? Maybe that gives us an advantage." Scott sighs.

"They'll know you're there and if they don't... Miah definitely will. I mean she saw you earlier. And let's just say, she's told him you're alive. I just need to talk to him. Not fight him." Stiles firmly responds.

Stiles walks toward the exit door to leave on his own, but Melissa turns and looks at him with an exasperated and frustrated expression.

"Stiles, you can't go alone." Melissa utters, "Does anyone even know how to find them?" Parrish questions.

"We don't have to find them. If I'm correct, Miah will come to me and if she's the one in-charge. Then he'll come as well." Stiles states.

MIAH AND Theo walk towards Scott's house, "Be nice. I mean it. Hurt him, and I'll hurt you." Miah snarls looking at the Raeken boy, "I won't hurt him." Theo scoffs rolling his eyes.

"Keep rolling your eyes like that. It'll be just my luck, if they got stuck in the back of your head." Miah smirks, "Awh Miah. You're so sweet." Theo voices.

Miah releases a growl in response making Theo smirk in triumph knowing he's getting under the blonde girls skin.

Theo and Miah look at the mountain ash barrier before smirking and stepping over it.

Miah looks around immediately inhaling Scott's scent knowing he's upstairs but decides to keep it to herself.. for now.

Stiles looks at the blonde girl noticing her clothes have been changed since earlier at the hospital and her fingertips are now turning black due to the magic flowing inside of her.

"I guess we're all telling the truth now." Theo voices with a smirk.

Stiles looks at Miah and Theo, his eyes glistening and betrayal and anger clear on his face.

Theo frowns as he senses something before looking at Miah seeing her eyes searching around the house.

Theo looks away from the blonde who now makes eye contact with Stiles silently telling him that she hasn't mentioned that Scott is alive.

Stiles looks down realising that Miah and Theo have caught Scott's scent and picks up Scott's bloody and torn t-shirt off of the steps.

Before throwing it at Theo who grimaces and hands it to Miah who looks at the blood in disgust before dropping it to her feet, "You killed my best friend and Miah's boyfriend?" Stiles questions.

"Please. Scott wasn't my boyfriend, Stiles. Not after he called me a monster. Which, by the way. I am." Miah smirks waving some of her blood mage chaos magic around her fingertips noticing Stiles's shocked look present on his face.

Theo gives Stiles a skeptical look before smirking noticing the look of fear flickering through them after seeing Miah controlling her magic.

"Let's be honest, Stiles. Was he still really your best friend? And like Miah said. He isn't her boyfriend anymore. I am." Theo smirks connecting his lips with Miah's plumped ones.

Miah doesn't miss the way she can hear Scott's heart jump in heartbreak from the top of the staircase after seeing the two of them kiss.

Thankfully though, Theo doesn't hear the true alpha's heart jump and continues smirking at Stiles who looks at Miah in absolute shock that she'd even consider kissing Theo.

"Are you going to let my father die?" Stiles questions.

"If I wanted him to die... I wouldn't have told you where you can find him." Theo mutters rolling his eyes in annoyance.

"Then why are they saying his body is shutting down? That some toxin is poisoning him. And they don't know how to stop it?" Stiles questions standing up from the staircase sending a glare towards both Miah and Theo.

Miah looks at Theo noticing the shocked look and the jump of his heart hearing the information that the Sheriff is dying before putting on the same smug face as before.

"I'm not the bad guy, Stiles. I'm just a realist. I'm a survivor. If you knew the things that I know..." Theo explains, "Yeah, but what do you know?" Stiles sceptically asks.

"I know what's coming. So does Miah. I know what the Dread Doctors created. As does Miah. And, I know what Parrish is." Theo states.

"I also know what Parrish is." Miah voices after a while leaning against the doorway of Scott's house.

"I also know that I'm now one of the most powerful supernatural beings in the world." Miah shrugs flicking her chaos magic around her black fingertips once more.

"Miah and Lydia figured it out. I saw it in her memories." Theo explains.

"Right after you drove her out of her mind. Did you have anything to do with that, Miah?" Stiles questions with a scoff.

"I didn't. No." Miah tiredly responds bored of this conversation, "Collateral damage," Theo shrugs smirking at Miah.

"But, if she's right about Parrish, then things around here are gonna get a lot worse." Theo says, "I don't care." Stiles snaps.

"You should. Because if your dad does survive... he's not gonna be Sheriff of anything much longer." Miah mutters.

Stiles clenches his jaw in anger quickly jumping to his feet to stand in front of the blonde girl.

"What's happening to him? Huh? You were with me earlier!" Stiles questions snarling at the girl.

Theo backs up to walk away while grabbing Miah's hand to hold it to walk out together.

Stiles roughly grabs him by the front of the shirt to try to make him talk.

Theo shoves him backward with some of his Chimera strength that Stiles falls backward onto the stairs.

"Theo!" Miah exclaims shocked and annoyed seeing Stiles hit the back of his head on the wood hard enough to knock him unconscious.

"Go. I'm gonna make sure his alive. Go fill River in. Now!" Miah orders sending Theo off away from the house.

Miah bends down to make sure Stiles is okay, "Come on. Wake up, Stiles." Miah mumbles almost in a plea.

Scott makes himself known beside her also bending down to make sure the male is alive.

"Don't. You're not allowed to talk to me." Miah snarls looking directly at her ex boyfriend noticing the tell sign that he was going to start talking to her.

"I can't believe you're dating him. I mean.. what the fuck is that?" Scott questions in a snappy time.

"Scott, I don't have to explain anything to you." Miah responds, "Yes. Yes, you do!" Scott mutters.

"No. I don't! We broke up. You called me a monster. Now, check this out." Miah voices showing Scott her chaos magic control with a smirk on her face.

"Guess I'm becoming one. Yay me." Miah shrugs hearing Stiles groan from beside her.

"I didn't mean to call you a monster, Mi." Scott responds, "Mhm. And yet you did." Miah responds lowly.

Stiles jerks awake suddenly beside Miah and Scott, who both sigh relieved.

Scott holds out his hand to help Stiles up, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Scott questions in panic.

Stiles sits up and swats Scott's proffered hand away in annoyance, "I'm fine." Stiles responds annoyed.

"Mims? What are you doing here?" Stiles asks standing to his feet, panting from exertion and minor shock that Miah stayed behind to make sure his okay.

"Making sure you're okay." Miah responds placing her hands in her sweatshirt knowing the two of them are still shocked of her sudden magic control.

Scott notices her hide her hands away and frowns in concern for both the blonde girl and Stiles, "You blacked out." Scott states.

"I'm okay. Did you get anything from him?" Stiles asks, "Nothing. He was calm the entire time." Scott grimly responds.

"No. He wasn't. Trust me, I know Theo." Miah utters standing against the doorframe once again letting the two of them have their own space.

"What do you mean? What about his heart?" Stiles questions.

"I heard it jump, but only once, and only for a second." Scott explains, "That doesn't mean he was lying." Stiles mumbles.

"Not really. The rest of the time it was steady. Along with Miah's." Scott states.

Miah sighs taking a step forward and joining the two boys, "Okay. No. You're not going to talk about me like I'm not here. I am. I understand things are little tense right now... between all of us. But..." Miah voices.

"When did it jump? What was I talking about?" Stiles questions interrupting Miah's annoyed ramble.

"It was when you said that your dad was poisoned. Miah and Theo's heart's jumped." Scott explains.

"What did I just say? Am I talking to a blank screen door? Fucking hell." Miah exclaims making both Scott and Stiles look at her.

"He was surprised. And I promise you.. I didn't know about your dad being attacked until you rang me earlier to come to the hospital. Along with him being poisoned. I had an idea due to my magic pulling me towards him. But that was it. I promise." Miah explains.

"Okay. So, why would he be surprised that my dad's still dying?" Stiles questions confused looking at the blonde girl.

Scott looks at Miah suddenly realising something, "Oh, wait. He didn't say that he was the one who attacked your dad, did he?" Scott quizzes.

"He didn't. River and Theo locked me in Theo's truck all night with them until.. you know. What happened at the school." Miah explains trailing off remembering Scott's dying last woods to her.

Stiles's eyes widen in shock when he realises what Scott's suggesting.

"No. Well, then this means it was probably someone else." Stiles mumbles, "Another Chimera." Scott realises.

Miah jumps in fright seeing Scott turn towards her, "Mi─ Miah, do you have any ideas?" Scott questions suddenly wanting to know if she knows about any Chimera's.

"I don't. I'm sorry," Miah responds before groaning in annoyance receiving a phone call from River.

"Anyways, I've gotta go. Again, I'm sorry." Miah explains walking towards the front door of Scott's house.

"Hey Miah?" Scott voices gaining the blondes attention, "Hmm?" Miah hums facing her ex boyfriend.

"I love you, Mi. Don't forget that, alright?" Scott strongly states gently kissing her forehead before following Stiles out of the house.

ISAAC, JOEL, Mack and Derek pace around Miah's bedroom seeing things thrown in every direction and smashed glass on the ground.

"She's been home." Joel mutters under his breath looking at the empty drawers for her clothes noticing nothing inside of them before seeing a photograph on the ground ripped apart.

"We'll get her back." Derek voices looking at Isaac and the one he's staring around the room panicked.

"Will we though? Theo and River have their claws lunged inside of her." Isaac mumbles scared for his best friend's sake.

AFTER RETURNING to the place where the Chimera pack has been hiding out.

Tracy smiles seeing Miah walking in from the entrance, "Thank goodness, you're back. I need some female company!" Tracy voices.

"Happy to help." Miah mutters looking around the abandoned dread doctor's office for any sort of clues she can give Stiles for his father before gasping seeing a missing teenagers poster on the metal table.

FIND NOAH PATRICK!
─ MIAH

Miah quickly sends the text knowing Stiles will get it alongside Scott as the two of them are at the Stilinski household forming a plan.

STILES LOOKS at his phone seeing the text message of Miah and immediately looks at the missing poster.

"Miah sent this text a few minutes ago and I looked into it. There was a call a few hours ago about a sophomore from Beacon Hill High who never came home last night." Stiles explains reading off the information from his phone.

"What's his name?" Scott questions with a small smile hearing Miah's still helping them despite being on the opposite team.

"Noah Patrick." Stiles responds looking at the crime board Stiles has in his bedroom alongside Scott─ who points at where Noah Patrick is second on the list along with all of the other possible Chimera's.

RIVER AND Theo return to their hideout seeing Miah in the corner flicking her chaos magic around.

"Where have you been?" Theo questions, "Out. Last time I checked. I don't need to update you on every little thing I'm doing. Alongside the others." Miah snaps rolling her eyes.

"You were with Stiles weren't you?" Theo quizzes.

"Yes Theo. I was with Stiles. I was making sure you didn't kill him before. By the way..." Miah mutters flicking her wrist sending Theo into the wall with a loud thud.

"That was for breaking your promise!" Miah snarls flashing her were-coyote eyes at the Raeken male before throwing him into the wall once again.

"And that one was for kissing me. Without my fucking permission." Miah snarls blowing on her fingertips with a menacing smirk, "Ow!" Theo groans with a chuckle.

"Good. Glad that hurt." Miah snarls seeing the others looking at her in awe that she can stick up for herself with Theo.

Eventually night falls as Miah, River, Hayden and Theo walk through the darkened railway depot in search of Noah since Miah explained that she got the feeling that someone's about to die.

After a moment, Hayden frowns slightly as though she's sensing something new to her.

"He was here." Hayden states shocked by her own new found abilities, "What else can you tell me?" Theo questions.

Hayden looks at Miah wanting her permission to go ahead with the explanation, "Go for it, Hayds." Miah says nodding her head.

"Why don't you tell me how I know that?" Hayden inquires in a snappy tone.

"Noah's part-Berserker. You're part-jaguar. You'll be drawn to each other." Theo explains noticing Hayden's frown taking in the new found information.

"Is that why I'm here with you? I mean... I'm glad to be here with Miah. You two? Not so much." Hayden snarls sending Miah a genuine smile before glaring at Theo and River again.

Theo gives her an amused, yet slightly threatening look making Miah roll her eyes irritated.

"Looking at her like that doesn't prove anything Theo. Explain it to her." Miah mutters looking at River who shares a look of annoyance with the blonde girl.

"I saved your life." Theo mutters. Hayden closes her eyes focusing on her berserker sense once again.

After a moment, she shudders with a grimace on her face, "I think he's dying," Hayden reveals looking at Miah and then Theo shocked.

"That means they're going to find him." Hayden sighs, "They probably already have." Miah shrugs.

After a while the group walk further along the railway tracks noticing a puddle of modified mercury on the ground before Theo sighs in disappointment.

"I could have used him." Theo mumbles, "For what?" Hayden asks confused.

Miah smirks looking up from the puddle of mercury seeing the large symbol carved into the metal wall.

Theo stops his thought looking at Miah seeing the smirk plastered on her face.

Hayden can tell by the look on his face that he's not thrilled about what he's seeing but looks at Miah also noticing the smirk and gulp nervously.

"What is that?" Hayden curiously quizzes, "A symbol. The symbol of an alpha and his pack." Theo sighs sharing a mutual look with River.

"Whose pack?" Hayden questions, "Scott's." Theo responds with a snarl towards Miah.

"Surprise!" Miah laughs, "Why didn't you tell me he was alive?" Theo angrily wonders.

"Oh. I don't know. Because you're not in charge of me, Theo. You never will be." Miah taunts walking off from the pissed off males with a smirk plastered on her face knowing the real fun is about to begin and her blood mage abilities are craving violence.
