~Chapter 29~
Before anyone mentions how different the writing looks like, this isn't Keanna. I'm his twin sister and I'm doing it as a favour. Mainly cuz I want more ships so oh well.
———Classic's POV———
Having to wake up at 2 in the morning to see a bunch of police officers hiding behind your fence was weird. I had to blink several times to check if I was still dreaming or not. After I introduce my name, they all greeted me silently since it was night time. But by the tired looks on their faces, they haven't had any sleep at all.
"Okaaay. You guys look like your sleep drunk so I'll lay out some mattresses for you to sleep on," I said humbly, heading towards the cupboard. Ink however waved his hand as I listened.
"Nah it's fine. We all live nearby. It's just Fell there who doesn't have a place to live," He said pointing at the gold toothed skeleton. His face flushed in embarrassment and I shrugged it off.
"That's cool. I have a spare bedroom upstairs. Papyrus left to Canada so that room won't be in use for a while," I commented. The three officers thanked me before excusing themselves to their homes. I turned to look back at Fell who was busy fumbling with his fingers.
"So, you wanna go to sleep?" I asked. He looked at me intently before looking down.
"Uh. All this action kinda made me a little jumpy. May I stay up for a while?" He asked quietly.
"That's fine. Guess I can get to know you!" I said as I plopped myself onto the couch. I gestured him to sit down but he looked at me hesitantly. "You can sit down you know?" I chuckled. He sighed before sitting on the other end of the couch.
"Ah thanks for letting me stay here," he said, giving a smile. I smiled back, finally knowing he was ok.
"It's cool. So, past life?" I asked.
"You go first,"
"Well then. I grew up with loving parents and an awesome brother. But when the war between humans and monsters came, my mother died leaving my father heart broken. He'd spend days in the laboratory, easing his mind away from her but he can't. Soon he realised he can't keep doing this forever, so he finally devoted his life into taking care of us. Along with the odd one or two science experiments," I chuckled. He gave a sad smile before looking down. "What about you?"
"I..uh. I had a family like you. They were strict and sometimes cruel but they did love us. They'd take care of us and everything. However, we had a murderer in our small village and they didn't make it out alive. I managed to save my brother and lived with him, taking great care. As we got older, we had more disagreements and one day we both decided it was best if we left each other alone. It's been 7 years I haven't seen him," Fell said as he quietened his voice as the story came to an end.
I quickly grabbed his shoulders as he looked in my eyes.
"Hey. There are people who care about you in this world. Just saying," I said. He laughed a little before pushing my hand off him.
"Look at you. What are you doing in the house alone?" He asked laughing.
"Oh spending my days being lazy. It's fun,"
"Haven't done that for a long time,"
"What do you mean?"
"To sit down and do nothing,"
"What?!" I was shocked.
"Yup. My old boss would keep me on shifts for hours on days. Sometimes 24/7," He said while laying back as if it was nothing. When he looked over at my exasperated look on my face, he looked at me with concern. "Did I say something wrong?"
"No no no. You didn't. I'm just surprised you went through all that. It must have been tiring!" I exclaimed.
"It's nothing. Well I'm going to sleep. Can you show me the room?" He asked, leaving me defeated.
"S-Sure. Follow me,"
——— Father's POV———
I was busily walking down and forth the office. Every single one of them escaped. Every single one.
I sat down on the chair exasperated at the news I just heard. I furrowed my brows as I rubbed my temples slowly. Suddenly I heard the slam of the door opening.
"Sir!"
"What did I say about knocking?" I gritted my teeth with anger.
"Sorry sir but you have an important visitor! It's them!"I looked up at my colleague before heading to the living room.
As I arrived at the grand hallway, I saw the young adult simply chewing on gum with a backpack slung over their back. They looked through their shades but I could tell there was something odd about them.
"Hello it's nice to meet you. Do you have what I ordered?" I asked politely, keeping up my status. They continued chewing their gum before slinging the backpack towards me. Quickly I caught it and checked inside. They had brought it.
"Where's the payment?" They said, the sound of chewing echoed through my ears. I quickly gestured my men to get the bag and hand it over. They checked in the bag for the right payment. They zipped it up and left the mansion.
"Sir What is that?" My colleague asked while pointing at the old tattered book in my hands.
"This here is a spell book, written by the most powerful wizards and witches from the past. This here is the key to get what I want!" I said waving the boom in his face. I quickly flipped through the pages to find what I wanted.
"Da mihi virtutem animi imperium!" I shouted. A sparkle of light appeared at the coffee table as a small bag with herbs was presented to me. I slowly picked it up and examined it.
"What did you do sir?" He asked quietly.
"A spell. Apparently only works once but can do the charm," I said tapping it slightly. I quickly handed it to one of my trusted men.
"Do me a favour..."
