"Oi! Welcome, Inuzuka." Shinichi knocked on Tsubasa's head. 

"Yah, Saruhara. That hurts." Tsubasa grunted, rubbing his head and brushing Shinichi off. 

"Here's a haiku for you: 

Long time no see friends, 

The long-lost treasure bondings,

Meant to be restored

"Your haiku still makes no sense," Tsubasa mocked Shinichi. 

"How dare you?" Shinichi gasped and was about to launch another hit in the head, but someone else stopped them. 

"Hey! Hey! Let's stop fighting there." 

"Kijino, what are you doing here?" Tsubasa asked in surprise. 

"Visting you, of course. Shinichi texted in the group chat that you are back." Tsuyoshi greeted. 

"But wouldn't Miho-san mind that you are skipping work?" Tsubasa pointed out. 

"Miho-chan is very understanding. Don't you worry!" Tsuyoshi reassured. 

Tsubasa's POV

I wouldn't have told him if I had known Saruhara wouldn't shut his mouth. Now everyone knows. Tsubasa sighed in his mind. 

I glanced at Saruharu and Kijino having small banters and couldn't help but smile. It's been 3 years since we last seen each other. 3 years since I left here. 3 years since I last saw her.

Talking about her. I wonder how she's been. The more I think about it, the more guilty I feel. Y/N. Gomen.

Another stepped in and interrupted my thought. 

"You're finally back." that cocky voice as always. 

"Yeah," I stated back. 

We stared at each other in the eyes before he walked up and gave me a handshake. I snorted at the typical greeting. 

"Welcome back, Inuzuka," he stated. 

"Good to see you too, Momoi," I said.

"Haruka is on her way here. She said we should order first." Tarou informed everyone. 

"She knows as well?" I sighed. 

"Well...Shinichi kinda PSA it to all of us on the group chat." Tsuyoshi explained. 

I glared at Shinichi while he glanced in another direction. 

End of Tsubasa's POV. 

"So, what's your plan now?" Shinichi turned to Tsubasa and asked him. 

Tsubasa looked hesitated for a moment before letting out a heavy sigh. 

"I'm guessing it related to L/N, am I right?" Momoi interrupted. Everyone looked up in surprise and then turned back to Tsubasa. 

He didn't dare to answer, as what Tarou predicted was on point. 

"You're trying to win her back?" Shinichi asked. 

"Well...I have no right to win her back." Tsubasa answered, implying the incident 3 years ago. Everyone stays quiet as they don't know how to comfort him. 

"Yahoo! Kito Haruka has arrived!" a girl burst in the right front and saluted. 

"You're late!" Tarou pointed out. 

She clicked her tongue, "It's not my fault. I have to submit my draft to the publisher and ran into traffic." 

Haruka turned back to Tsubasa, "Good to see you again, Inuzuka." Haruka stated. A kind of cold greeting, but what did he expect? After all, you and Haruka were best friends. 

"Hey Haruka-chan...is Y/N coming?" Tsuyoshi asked, trying not to glance at Tsubasa while Shinichi face palmed. 

Haruka sent out a glare, "why would she come?" 

"Mahh...Mahhh...Let's order something first. I'm hungry." Shinichi tried to intervene. 

Tsubasa drank water from his cup to clear his throat. While Tarou elbowed Haruka so she could stop glaring at Tsubasa.

After the meal, ...

"I've got to go now. I have an interview to go to. Here's my portion." Haruka stated and left. 

"Wait...you're leaving that soon?" Shinichi asked. 

"I already tried to make time to come out for this reunion, but I really gotta go. Sorry. and Welcome back, Tsubasa." With that, Haruka dashed out. 

Tarou and Shinichi's eyes lingered on her as she slowly got into the taxi cab. 

Shinichi quickly pinched Tsuyoshi. 

"Itta! What was that for?" Tsuyoshi yelped. 

"If you haven't mentioned..." Shinichi stated.

"It's alright. I didn't expect her to forgive me. I know she and Y/N are best friends." Tsubasa stepped in Tsuyoshi's defense. 

"It's not my place to ask. But what happened 3 years ago?" Taro asked. Tsubasa glanced at him. Shinichi and Tsuyoshi once again could sense the tense atmosphere. 

"I'll tell you when the time is right." Was all Tsubasa said before leaving his portion of the money and walking out of the restaurant with 3 pairs of eyes watching him disappear in the crowd.

You were assisting the children as they packed up. 

"Alright, everyone, make sure you leave nothing behind!" You reminded them. 

"hai, Y/N-sensei!" they chirped. You smiled as you heard the bell. 

"Alright, let's line up," you instructed. The children followed and stood in line by the door. 

You slowly opened the door and guided them to walk out. Each child ran up to their parents, not forgetting to turn around and say bye to them. 

You smiled at the scene. After every child was picked up, you returned to the classroom and cleaned up. 

Your phone buzzed as you finished putting the last batch of crayons in the box. You glanced and saw a text from Haruka.

Met him. He is still the same, like 3 years ago. Wanna pic?

You placed your phone back in your pocket and headed to your car. As you drove down the street and stopped at a red traffic light, you spotted the familiar figure crossing to the other side. 

Praying inside that they would not look towards the car and continue heading straight. You quietly observe the figure. It seemed like they were in deep thought and heading to wherever they felt like it. 

BEEP! The car behind honked as you. You realized the light had turned green and quickly stepped on your gas. 

It has been 3 years, hasn't it? Yet, you still haven't changed much regarding your look, Tsu-kun. You quickly wiped the tears from the corner of your eyes and turned your attention back to the road.
