Skyra was examining the stone spike while Sabo worked on her injury, Law's dark magic in it made the wound heal slowly. "Could this be a gargoyle horn? Or just a spike?" She muses to her roommate. Sabo glances at it, looking thoughtful.

"Maybe," He murmurs, "There, there still might be some lingering darkness, but how do you feel?" He asks softly.

"I'm good, I'm glad the manticore is okay... Where did Law go?" She asks looking around, noticing the demon gone. Sabo frowns.

"Who knows... Wanna look for him?" Sabo asks as they stand.

"Yeah, he's probably mad at me..." She murmurs with a slight sigh. His expression when she pleaded him earlier stuck in her mind. He seemed a bit upset. Sabo touches her shoulder.

"He was probably trying to protect you earlier, he probably feels bad about being the one to hurt you." He points out softly. Skyra blinks at him in surprise. "What?" He inquires.

"You're such a great guy," She comments without thinking. Sabo blushes at that and smiles sheepishly.

"O-oh, you think so? You're pretty amazing yourself," He says. Skyra blushes and looks away as they turn a corner to find Law completely frozen.

"Law!?" Skyra gasps. Cackling catches her ear and she looks over to see a familiar goblin, dancing around with an ice amulet. "Coppy!!" She scolds. Coppy laughs until Traffy who had been hiding pounces on the goblin, making him shriek in surprise, firing the ice amulet and freezes Sabo's head, making him stagger and fall on his butt. Skyra sweatdrops at the situation and swiftly kicks the amulet out of Coppy's hand as he struggles with the baby dragon.

She turns to help Sabo who was trying to thaw off the ice, but the lack of oxygen was slowing his movements. Before she can get to him a stone spike pierces her leg, making her cry out in surprise and pain. She falls to a knee using a fireball to light up the area. There it was, the thing they've been after this whole time. A gargoyle. It was hunched like a gorilla, roughly the same size as one too. She swallows, of all the rotten timing.

The gargoyle reaches back and grasps a stone spike as grows back. It breaks it off and hurls it at Law's frozen form. Skyra fires a fireball at the spike making it explode and protecting Law. She raises her index and middle finger at it, starting to fire rapidly at it.

"Pew--"

"D-dammit Skyra! Stop saying it!" Kid laughs, grabbing her hand while his other covers his face, chuckling into it. Skyra blushes a bit and pouts.

"I'm sorry! It's a habit!" she says. He shakes his head, still shaking with laughter, the sound of his gears getting off track is heard under the rumbling laughter. Skyra relaxes a bit, smiling, she really enjoyed hearing those sounds from him, made her feel like everything was okay. They were currently on the roof after school hours, Kid didn't want anyone to know he was tutoring someone. He moves behind her, manually straightening her hand and fingers.

"Say it in your mind then," He chuckles. Skyra tries to focus again.

"Pe--" Kid moves a hand to cover her mouth, Skyra could feel him laughing silently, forehead touching her shoulder. Skyra blushes wildly why did he have to be so close? He straightens up.

"Focus, say it in your mind," He breathes, keeping his hand in place. Skyra takes in a deep breath before focusing. At first there was nothing but then there was a small fireball. Kid smiles a bit at that as she shoots more rapidly, the blasts become so close it becomes a beam that slices the target in half. The stream stops when Kid backs up, unfocusing her. She blinks and looks back at the doll to see him smiling widely.

"That, was cool," He tells her. Skyra looks at the target and grins, bouncing slightly.

"I did it!" She cheers, throwing up her arms. "Thank you Kid!" She gasps hugging him. The doll chuckles, patting her back.

"Heh no problem," He murmurs. "Now lets do that again and if you even utter a 'pew' I'll hold you upside down over the edge," He rumbles, lightly pinching her cheek. Skyra pales.

"Yessir!"

Skyra focuses, shooting the beam at the gargoyle, slicing off it's arm. Training with Kid really did pay off. The gargoyle lets out a whine, throwing the fallen limb at her. Skyra dodges it as it regrows it's arm. She grits her teeth, glancing between her frozen teammates. Her heart drops seeing Sabo barely moving now, head almost thawed out. Traffy hobbles over blowing out some fire to help thaw Sabo. Skyra relaxes at that, but she shouldn't shouldn't have looked away.

A stone spike pierces her shoulder but she didn't really feel it. She blinks at, and fires another beam at it. Her body was numbing from the blood loss she was endearing, vision blurring. Her teammates were immobile, and she was losing this fight already. 'I can't let this be the end! I don't want to die here!' She thinks, shooting another fireball. The gargoyle dodges, throwing two more spikes. She dodges one, the other one slices her already injured side, she stumbles into Law's frozen chest. Her clouded eyes move to his face. She was loosing strength in her legs.

"I'm sorry Law... I'm always your burden..." She murmurs, lifting her shirt to use her last resort circle. The gargoyle charges but something collides into it, breaking off its limbs and crushing it's head. She blinks at the manticore as its blood red eyes trail to her. "You..." Was all she managed before collapsing and everything goes black.
