I'm Gonna Die

Skyra looks out the window, watching the scenery with a frown, Cerberus slept across her lap snoring slightly. She watches as they pass through a large gate and follows a long road, with nothing but trees to see. She couldn't even see into the forest that well, it was so thick and dark, someone could have been standing a few feet inside and she wouldn't have seen them.

"It's kinda creepy..." Luna says out loud, moving away from the window. She hears Sabo hum in response but says nothing else to her.

"Cerberus will like to nap in there," Skyra muses softly, making the wolf raise his head and perk his ears as he gazes out the window.

"You're not wrong," The Wolf comments in his demonic voice before lowering his head and going back to sleep.

"Be easy to hide a body in there," Law comments darkly, silver orbs, gliding from Sabo to her pointedly. Skyra swallows, feeling herself pale under his gaze as Sabo lets out a huff. Skyra focuses outside the window again.

Suddenly the forest abruptly ends and the bus goes through another gate and stops in front of a fairly normal looking building. It looked like a typical shop like building, but that's not what catches Skyra's eyes. Everything behind the building does. Tall building, the tallest looked to be seven stories tall, and this was odd for a school, even the dorms didn't even need to be that tall. But that wasn't the weirdest part, each level of the buildings looked like a different building all together.

The tallest one, had a barn level that was stacked on top of a cafe looking building. On top of the barn was a building that was all tinted windows, like skyscrapers are in big cities. And on the very top, was a garden, she could see vines creeping down the sides of the building it sat on. And a small cute little house sat on the very top. There were at least nine stacks of houses aside from the tallest one, bringing it up to a total of ten oddly stacked buildings. It looked like a very large child was using random buildings and building blocks and it makes Skyra giggle lightly at the image. Her giggle only makes Cerberus and Law growl. They didn't fine any of this funny.

"Glad to hear you're not worried," Sabo comments, glancing back and putting her somewhat at ease. She looks ahead, the only normal building was the one they were being ushered into at the moment. The instant they left the bus, the door hadn't even closed all the way and the bus pushes forward, almost running over Skyra in the process. Cerberus bites her injured arm and yanks her forward, making her stumble and fall, but saving her from the bus.

"Be more alert!" Cerberus growls in her face, making her cringe.

"S-Sorry," She murmurs in slight pain, feeling the blood clod her bandages. A hand appears in her face, offering to help her up. She takes it and stands, tossing Sabo a grateful smile. "Thank you," She murmurs. He frowns down at her bloody bandages.

"Are you okay?" He asks. Skyra waves dismissively.

"I'm fine," She assures with a smile. He pauses but shrugs it off and turns away. Skyra smiles a bit at his back, unaware of a glare she was receiving. After everyone settles down, or rather when someone comes crashing out of the building in front of them, falling flat on their face. Skyra blinks, briefly worrying if he was okay, she made a move to help but Cerberus growls, keeping her in place. No one moved and the man jumps up and looks at everyone with a large grin.

"Hey there!" He starts and Skyra tenses as a drop of blood falls from his nose, but he doesn't seem to mind. "Welcome to Sabaody! This will be your home for the next two years, maybe!" He says, his grin never leaves his face.

"Maybe?" Luna says, frowning a bit and the red head laughs.

"Yeah...some end up staying longer...cause they keep getting into trouble, or well..." The man pauses for a moment and he frowns a bit. "They die." He says plainly, but then quickly smiles and shrugs a bit, like it's no big deal. Skyra feels her heart skip a beat. Death? As if this wasn't scary enough.

"Anyways... Any questions before we head out?" The man says, pointing towards the building with his thumb.

"Yeah...who are you?" Luna says slowly and the man glances at her and his smile widens. Skyra couldn't help but smile a bit, he seemed really nice.

"I'm Shanks, a teacher here." He starts, pointing at himself. "I teach potions, oh and later on in the year I teach you how to fly using a broom." He says and Skyra lights up a bit, she knew a few potions, but last time she tried to fly a broom... Cerberus gives her a look and she gulps, looking at her feet briefly before looking back up as Luna loses her solid form and kicks off the ground, hovering a bit and Shanks looks at her and laughs.

"I guess you flying creatures wouldn't need it would you..." He says with a grin. "Anything else?" He asks, looking at everyone. The others stay silent. Skyra was curious about a few things, but didn't want to draw attention to herself. "Alright then, let's go!" The redhead cheers a bit, turning and walking towards the building. Skyra follows at the back of the group with Cerberus, looking up nervously at the building.

"Your cowardice is showing," Cerberus rumbles.

"I'm not scared," She objects. The inside of the entrance building looked kinda similar to a hotel lobby. She looks around curiously, this looked nice and calm. Shanks comes to a stop and waves his arm around the room in a 'Ta-da!' sort of way.

"Look at this place as much as you can!" He starts, "Because you won't be in here for another two years until you leave, unless you get special trips...then you might pass through before hand, but not until then!" He says, leading everyone to a door behind the counter. He opens it and it leads into a very large room, kinda like an airport actually, the weird designs on the outside seemed to happen on the inside too, Skyra gulps, oh boy. She was going to get lost and be late and Cerberus would bite or scratch her. Shanks lead them across the room, it was very quiet and very empty, kinda odd, where are all the students?

He leads us out a set of glass doors and into the center courtyard of the oddly stacked buildings. Now that everyone was up close you could see numbers on each of the stacks, 0 being on the building you just left. "Building number 7 is the dorms, number 3 has the cafeteria, If you remember nothing else, at least remember that!" Shanks says, a few people were in the courtyard.

"Building 1 is for teachers and staff only, so unless your having a fling with one of us." He starts, giving everyone a mischievous grin and a quick wink. Skyra's cheeks heat up at the taboo thought. "Then don't go in there!" He finishes before pointing towards the second building, number 2.

"In that building you will find a lot of training rooms, a lot of the magic defense classes are in there! It is dangerous so be careful, one kid had their head blown off and that was messy..." Shanks muttered the last part but everyone still heard him, Skyra hugs herself at the image and shudders. .

"Building 4, it has creatures in it, Corazon teaches ones of his classes in there, you'll meet him later...That place is extremely dangerous, so unless you want to be eaten by a giant bug or something, avoid there unless you have to go to class...or you have a thing for dangerous creatures..." Shanks said, shivering a bit. "I lost my arm in there..!" He lets out a nervous laugh and rubs his left shoulder like it still hurts a little bit.

"Building 5." He points at the tallest building. "Is a lot bigger than it looks. It's a dungeon. A lot of exams are held here, and you will die if you don't practice or get strong. Because each exam get's harder and harder...That building is alive in a way..." Shanks says, he stares at the building for a moment.

"Because it takes your worst fears and your weaknesses from the deepest parts of your mind...and throws them at you...No one get's the same test because of that..." Shanks says, his voice got quieter for a moment. But he shakes his head a bit and looks back at everyone, Skyra falls to her knees, surprising everyone. "Hey... Are you okay?" Shanks asks.

"I'm going to die here..." Skyra whimpers, starting to shake.

"Knock it off or I'll end you here and now!" Cerberus growls, making her cringe.

"Sorry..." She murmurs, lifting her head.

"You can't go in there unless a teacher puts you in, so unless you have punishment or an exam, more than likely you won't be in there!" Shanks adds with a laugh, putting Skyra at ease.

"Building 6, is where normal classes are held, and the library. It's probably the only safe building because no magic is allowed." He explains as Skyra stands up again. "Building 8 is for physical training!" Shanks said, pointing at the smallest stack.

"It had a gym, it had sword classes, hand to hand combat, and a ranged weapons class...you only get one of these so choose wisely. I wouldn't choose ranged if I were you but..." Shanks shakes his head and points to the 9th building."Building 9, Potions and defense against the dark arts is in these buildings, it's not safe in there cause Doffy really likes curses..." Shanks says and shudders a bit. "But my class is in there!" He says with a grin.

"The last building, 10th , is the event building! A lot of tournaments and holiday events are held there throughout the year, but it can be dangerous because it has a sparring area and a lot of the stronger people like to kill off the weak there... so if you want to prove your strength go fight the living doll!" He laughs and says this like it's common knowledge, Skyra blinks, living doll? That just sounded cute.

"Right now you have no schedual until tomorrow, but your rooms already picked out! We even took the liberty of raiding- I mean going to your previous home and packing up your belongings and bring them here! Better go check your rooms before Nami gets to them...otherwise anything valueble will be stolen..." He mutters that last bit with a nervous laugh Skyra blinks in horror. Oh no. Cerberus perks at that, seeming worried for once too. Just what did they pack for her?

"What's my room number?" Luna asks, no point in yelling at the man, at least not right at this moment.

"ah...Luna right?" He says, reaching into his jacket and pulling out a small notebook.

"Phoebe Luna, floor three, room 23B." He says and Luna just speeds off, not bothering to listen to the man anymore.

"A-and my room number?" Skyra asks anxiously.

"Skyra... Room 26B, good lu--" Skyra sprints away with Cerberus, please tell me they didn't pack that! "Luck?"
