Genosha part 1

ᴘʀᴇᴠɪᴏᴜꜱʟʏ ɪɴ ᴡᴏʟᴠᴇʀɪɴᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇ xᴍᴇɴ

"You're on hollow ground here, lady. Don't make me regret this."

She raised an eyebrow, unflinching, a smirk playing at the corners of her lips.

"Perhaps you'd rather that I didn't find the Professor, you enjoy being in charge, don't you?—" A smirk graciously crawled up her lips, not leaving my sight from her eyes, she gestured disdainfully at my grip on her, "—Plus the fact that you don't want me near your precious Sasha."

I could feel the tension in the air thickening as she spoke, an electric charge that set my nerves on edge. "Just do your damn job, lady," I snapped, releasing her wrist but not backing down; the fire in my gut wouldn't allow it. "And stay out of Sasha's mind, are we clear on that?"

She leaned back by putting Cerebro over her head and rested her posture as if she were lounging at some high-society gala instead of the Cerebro room, a technological hive buzzing with potential danger.

"Crystal." White Queen stopped before rinsing another smirk as she turned her back on me, "But know that Sasha knows more about you than you think.~"

I took a measured step back, trying to quell the rage boiling beneath my skin. This was no time to let her get into my head or make me second-guess my intentions.

"Let's just focus on the task at hand, shall we? Or you will regret ever stepping foot in here," I warned, my voice low but steady.

"Such a lovely threat, Logan,~" she replied, her icy demeanor unfazed. "I must admit, I appreciate a man who knows his weakness."

She adjusted the Cerebro headset, smoothing her blonde hair down; Forge and Hank stood off to the side, glancing between us like we were two heavyweights in a prize fight, ready to leap in at the first sign of trouble.

"Easy there, both of you," Hank finally interjected as he glanced between us and then at Forge, who busied himself with the controls, glancing back as if seeking reassurance, "Okay, g-go ahead and um—"

"Oh please, I read your mind on the way in." White Queen tells him off with a hint of annoyance before shutting her eyes, manipulating the controls for a few minutes before suddenly gasping and removing her helmet. I approach her, narrowing my eyes with my arms crossed over my chest, "Where is he?"

And the next response was a bombshell.

"Genosha."

Now...

"It's a volta execution, I think it's best that we try to make contact with Magneto first." Hank's suggestion halted me, and I turned around in frustration, "Oh, believe me," I said. "I intend to make contact with him. And it's long overdue."

Walking away, Hank followed, trying to reason with me: "Logan, wait—" "Don't you get it, Hank?" I gruffly explained with my back facing him, "This means that Magneto was responsible for the Explosion!"

His eyes widen in disbelief.

"That! Is not supportive of any evidence I've collected." He raised an eyebrow of confusion at my statement before continuing, "And if there were no fluctuation in the magnetic field, so before we accuse him, we need to—"

Turning to him, impatient to go out and find Magneto to give him a piece of my mind, "We KNOW he's got Charles!" I cut him off with a low growl, ignoring his opinion, "And THAT'S what matters!"

With that being said, the elevator shuts in front of me as I head out to find Cyclops.

Sasha drove me while my motorbike was being repaired. As I got out of her motorbike, she asked, her voice worried, "You sure Scott is gonna listen to you, Logan?" I sighed, staring up at the building, not turning to face her.

"Yeah...I'm sure." I tell her before turning around to meet her worried gaze at me, "You should get some sleep, I can walk on my own." I gave her a reassuring smile, hoping it reached my eyes. Sasha wasn't wrong to be worried.

Cyclops wasn't exactly known for his listening skills, especially when it came to me. But this was important, too important to let his stubbornness get in the way, since this is about Charles and Jean.

"Alright," she said, still hesitant. "Call me if anything goes wrong."

"Will do," I watched her drive off, then turned toward the imposing building. With a heavy sigh, I entered, intent on snuffing him out. I paused at the third-floor door, then stealthily picked the lock and entered the room where Cyclops and I had fought weeks ago.

Just as he was about to get up after sensing my arrival, and blast me again with his laser eyes, I took the chance to point my claws directly at him: "Holster those eyebeams, frat boy." "There's nothing else you could say, Logan. I'm not comin' back." He narrowly frowned.

"Magneto's got the professor." I then tell him.

This made him soften his glare, "And Jean?" Cyclops questioned, I frown and turn away my gaze in defeat, "No, just Charles."

But it ain't stopping me from asking him to join the X-Men again: "Now are you in?"

(=Sasha's POV=): Same day, same night...

While discussing the X-Fighter Jet's missing components with Forge, I heard the door slide open from outside, I exited the jet to see as it revealed Logan, who voice activated the main hangar lights to turn on.

Whereas Hank, Bobby, Kitty, and Cyclops, also known as Scott Summers, entered the room as well. Wearing the X-Men suits, I entered the jet before he could see me since I wanted to make a good impression and began to take off my mutant restraint device from my ear.

"Aww--Oh, where'd you guys come from?"

"Just tell me she'll fly," Logan said.

Poor Forge had to answer that quickly, "Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Pretty sure." He nervously lied, making Hank hum in worry: "Hmm, perhaps we should wait until Forge completes the repairs and—"

"We leave now. Forge, climb in. Your job is to keep us in the air."

"Hm~ Wolverine's more desperate than I thought."

No one spoke at this point until Cyclops started with, "And she is?" Only for Logan to walk away, but not without replying, "Temporary." Once everyone was inside, I took the chance to come out from the main controls and turn around to wave at them.

"Glad you all came, guys" I said, smiling while I wiped the oil from my gloves and began taking them off when I saw the guy Logan had mentioned, "And this must be Scott Summers, right?"

Logan grunted. "Yeah," he motioned to Scott. "Scott, meet Sasha. She's our only human ally." Scott nodded, his covered eyes narrowing before he shook my hand. "Hello," he said, emotionless.

I gave him a soft smile.

"Don't worry. If we find Xavier, we have a chance to find Jean. I know how important she is to you."

Scott's expression remained unchanged, but his grip softened slightly.

"We're grateful for any help you can provide," he said, his voice guarded. "The Professor... he wouldn't want us to give up hope."

As if on cue, Hank approached.

I released Scott's hand and turned to Hank. "Ah, evening, Hank."

"Good Evening, Sasha."

Kitty and Bobby rushed to me, their faces alight with excitement, and I couldn't help but smile. But that went downhill when Emma Frost came into the picture, "Oh, were you going to welcome me with a 'good evening' as well, 'human'?"

"Don't push it, Frosty." I glare at her, knowing full well that she wasn't gonna let me off the hook after she already knows about my secret mutation abilities, "Or you will regret them." Only to ignore me with a cold, sweet smirk before sitting next to Scott.

This is going to be a long journey.
