Takuya: Erm..... (looks conflicted on how to explain it)

Ending up in the Frontier "world", Touma and Tenade are currently standing in Shibuya park with Takuya and Gattenmaiar, the latter of which had accidentally revealed that Takuya knew about Youkai.

Gattenmaiar: Allow me to explain, Takuya-sama. It is the very least I can do to make up for this mess.

Takuya: (smiles) Thanks!

Gattenmaiar: No problem. (turns to the duo) A Youkai Acknowledger is someone who has a device that allows them to see us. Take Takuya-sama for an example. He is currently using the Youkai Goggles Version 4 from the Supernatural Detective Agency's Research and Development Department.

Touma: (blinks) Wait, hold on, there are more watches?!

Gattenmaiar: Indeed, Sir.

Touma: O-Oh..... You can call me Touma, though. I feel uncomfortable with the Sir.

Gattenmaiar: Very well, Touma-kun. (turns to Tenade) And what about you, Madame? What is your name?

Tenade: I'm Arihoshi Tenade. (smiles a bit) Nice to meet you, Takuya-kun.

Touma does a double take. 

Touma: E-Excuse me? (looks shocked) D-Did you just say Arihoshi?

Tenade: Well, it's not a family name I'm proud of because of the bad luck I brought it, but that's my name for sure. With my friends, though, I'm Tenade Remira.

After the Reaper incident, Tenade had been adopted by Tireni, since he had felt pity for the fictional girl who had been thrown into the non-fictional one without any warning. When he had broken the news to her, she had been really happy over it, which made Tireni smile.

Touma: I-I can't believe it.... (thinks: Could she really be....?)

Takuya: Something wrong, Touma-san? 

Tenade: Yeah, you look kinda pale. 

Touma: I-I-I.... 

Gattemaiar: Are you feeling ill, Touma-sama? 

Touma: (shakes head) I-It's just that.... I-I have a friend with the same name..... 

Tenade: (eyes widen) Wait... Don't tell me his name is Arihoshi Akinori.... 

Touma: (numbly nods) T-Then you must be his sister.... The serial Bone Murderer... 

Tenade: Y-Yeah... (looks down a bit) I-It's not something I'm proud of, though. I-It wasn't on my own free will, honestly. 

Touma: I think I remember hearing about that... It became a cold case done by someone named Reaper, right? 

Tenade: Yeah... 

Unknowingly to Tenade, something is awakening slowly in her soul. 

A female body slowly forms inside her in a dark room of sorts. 

??????: H-Huh? W-Where am I?... (rubs eyes a bit, grey eyes look around) Urgh... Why is this place so dark?... (eyes scan the room) W-Where is she, though?... D-Did she die too?... 

Meanwhile, Touma is still recovering from the shock. 

Touma: B-But why didn't you come back? Akinori was really hoping for you that you would!

Tenade: About that.... It may be hard to believe, but I was in another world. 

Touma: Another world? 

Tenade: (nods) The non-fictional world. I was busy with helping my friends and helping Aruke-san with chronicling the adventures that needed it-

Touma: Wait, hold on! You know Aruke-san?! 

Tenade: (blinks) Of course I do. Why wouldn't I? 

Touma: (jaws drop) Unbelievable. 

Inside Tenade's soul, ?????? is looking around the room. 

??????: (is mumbling) She wanted me to help her spread despair.... I can't let her down again! (then notices a glowing heart nearby) H-Huh? What's that?... (eyes widen) Wait, could it be that I.... 

Tenade: Why? Do you know where he is? 

Touma: Eh? Why would I? 

Tenade: He's been missing for a few months now. 

Touma: WAIT WHAT?!

Takuya: (shakes her) PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE JOKING!!!

Tenade: N-Not really! W-WHY ARE Y-YOU SHAKING ME?!?!!???! 

Gattenmaiar: Takuya-sama, it would be wise not to do that! 

Takuya: How can I?! We have to find the Fate Changer ASAP before the multiverse dies-

BEEP!!!!!

They all freeze as Takuya's goggles make that sound, flashing red once in a while to show an emergency. 

Takuya: H-Huh?... (stops shaking Tenade)

Tenade: (stumbles back, her head is dizzy, but she manages to hear ??????'s words)

??????: C-Could it be that I ... I reincarnated?.....

The opening starts after the screen is cut at those 2 moments. 

(The music starts playing as Natsume Amano turns into Shuka's awakened form, then Akino Kin opens up the game system as Ryaku Mizuya opens up his Magical Gates and Young Aruke Kin activates the Nature power.)

Episode 12: A Murderer's Truth

Takuya: (clicks on his goggles)

A screen pops up, showing a map with a blinking purple Eyepo moving around the train station.

Takuya: Uh oh.... It's a rogue Kaima.....

Gattenmaiar: Takuya-sama, we must not let this phenomenon be! We must stop that Kaima!

Takuya: Agreed. (turns to Touma and Tenade) Mind helping me out with this one thing?

Touma: Sure.

Tenade: (smiles) Of course-

?????: Can you help me with this widdle thing? Please? (eyes go super wide)

Tenade: (blinks) E-Eh?

Touma: (notices) You okay?

Tenade: A-Ah.... I-I just thought that I saw something....

Touma: Okay then....

Takuya: Thank you so much! (smiles)

Touma: It's nothing. (grins slightly)

Tenade: Yep.

Takuya: Then let's go!

Tenade, Touma: OH!

The group sets off for the train station, which is just nearby, rushing there to deal with the Kaima.

Touma: (grips the Youseiken, thinks: I hope that we can deal with this quickly....)

Tenade: (looks at her mini X-Ray scanner, grips her fists, thinks: I gotta use my Youki.... But at the same time...)

Memories of tortured screams and her own manic laughs echoes in her head, causing involuntary shivers to go down her spine. But after that, unfamiliar screams and someone's manic laughs start to echo as well. She can hear pleas for mercy as someone's singing could be heard.

Tenade: H-Huh? (stops for a while) W-What?...

??????: (starts thinking) If that's the case, then I have to get back to her. But how?

Touma and Takuya notice her stopping, so they stop as well and turn around.

Takuya: Tenade-san? You okay?

Touma: You seem out of it. (feels concern for the female)

Tenade: (nods) Y-Yeah....

??????: Hm..... I think I remember someone mentioning on how to awaken.... (thinks hard, searches for the memory) Argh.... Where is it?! I can't fail her AGAIN!

Takuya: Are you tired?

Touma: Or do your legs hurt?

Tenade: (facepalms) Of course not! I'm still in my 20s, you two! I'm not an old lady!

At that, the two blink.

Touma: .... (blank face, still trying to load) You're in your what?

Takuya: You're in your 20s?! But the hair-

Tenade: There are a bunch of people with white hair in fiction. Take Origami from Date a Live as an example. Or Icy from Winx Club.

Takuya: (freezes) O-Oh right.... (blushes) Sorry for that... 

Tenade: I don't mind. (shrugs)

Takuya: Thanks! (smiles) You're a nice lady! 

Tenade: (goes red) I-It's nothing! I-I just like helping people and forgiving them! I-It's in my nature! 

Takuya: Even better! 

Tenade: (sputters)

??????: Come on come on... I gotta find that memory.... (unknowingly inches closer to the glowing heart, a memory glows and moves towards ??????) H-Huh? 

Touma: (finally loads) I see.... I'm surprised though. Akinori's 13 now. You were sent into a coma when you were 17, and it's been, what, 6 years or so?

Tenade: 7 years, you mean. And Kinori's a teen now? (smiles) As expected.

Touma: Yeah!

Suddenly, Touma sees a flash of black as Gentou briefly flickers in Tenade's place before he disappears.

Touma: (blinks) Eh?

Takuya: (notices) You okay, Touma-san? 

Touma: Y-Yeah... (thinks: T-That was Gentou.... What's he doing back here? I thought he already went away with Shuka, Kuuten and Hakushu...) 

??????: (looks at the memory, eyes widen) "In order to awaken, someone will need to find their Spirit...." What's a Spirit?..... 

Tenade: YOU seem out of it as well, honestly.

Touma: It's nothing....

Tenade: You sure?

Touma: (nods)

Takuya: Alright then, we should pick up the pace. (turns around and rushes off)

Touma, Tenade: (jog to catch up with him, think: Geez, this guy sure knows how to make one feel old....)

Gattenmaiar: (notices, giggles as she floats beside Takuya.

Tenade: (jog slows down to a walk as she catches up with Takuya) So.... How did you find your watch?

Takuya: (smiles) Well...

After a while, the memory returns to the heart, causing ?????? to look at it.

??????: Hm... Wonder how I got that memory.... (thinks back) Erm..... I think I just thought I wanted it.... Then the memory moved towards me... So if I go from there... (closes eyes, thinks: I want to- no, I need to find out what a Spirit is.)

Takuya: I found it in the sports store when I was 7. I was attracted to it due to how unique it had seemed. I mean, come on, quadrilateral goggles just don't exist. Only round ones. After deciding to buy it, I took it home and tried it out. It felt so comfy on my head that I decided to just use it over my cap. (sweatdrops) Then I stupidly went and clicked the button on the side. Sounds amazingly idiotic, honestly.

Tenade: (covers her mouth to hide her giggles)

Touma: (chuckles with mirth in his tone)

Takuya: (blushes) S-Stop laughing!

Touma: It's hilarious. How can we not?

Takuya: (just sputters in exasperation)

Nothing happens. 

??????: Oh come on! (growls) I have to find her! She's my family! 

Tenade: (giggles) 

Takuya: A-Anyway! That's how I found Gattenmaiar! Apparently she had been staying in my room to keep it clean after seeing it in a mess. 

Touma: (goes into a giggling fit) Ahahahahaha!~

Takuya: D-Don't laugh! (looks away) 

Tenade: (gasps for breath as she laughs) Oh my KAMI! 

Gattemaiar: (smiles) It was quite the scene too. Takuya-sama fell on the ground and knocked himself out. 

Takuya: GATTENMAIAR! (is red) 

Tenade: (is basically choking due to how hilarious it is)

Touma: (laughs out loud) 

??????: COME ON YOU STUPID MEMORY! I NEED TO GET BACK TO HER!!!! 

Takuya: S-So that's what happened! What about you two? (is eager for a topic change)

Tenade: Well... I was born into a shaman family, so I was trained by my family. However, I had a lot of magic in me, which was confusing at first, but I gradually learnt to control it... (grips fists a bit) That caused Reaper to take an interest in me, and she decided to use me to find more souls.... 

Takuya: O-Oh... I-I'm sorry for prying.... 

Tenade: It's fine. I've long forgiven Reaper. 

Touma: Reaper?... 

Tenade: The instigator behind the murders. 

??????: P-PLEASE.... (goes to their knees) I-I have to get back to her... I-I'm the only one who knows the truth about THAT.... 

Takuya: I see.... What about you, Touma-san? 

Touma: I was... Manipulated into leading an invasion due to some misunderstandings. Luckily, my friends saved me and helped me redeemed myself. I also gained these in the process. (points to the Youkai Watch Ogre and the Youseiken Holder) 

Tenade: Woah! You have the Youseiken?! (eyes sparkle as she looks at them) WOW! The Fudou Raimei Ken, Suzaku Soutenzan, Genbu Houtenfu, Ashura Gouenmaru, and the Byakko Daireisou!  It's complete! 

Touma: (blushes) It's nothing... 

Tenade: It's not nothing! The Youseiken are amazingly powerful- Wait. (stops) Does that mean that you can use the swords? 

Touma: A-Ah... (nods) I can.... 

Tenade: EVEN BETTER! (grins) 

Touma: (sputters like mad) I-It's really nothing! 

Takuya: (smirks) How ja like that?! 

Touma: T-Takuya-kun!!!

A memory then glows and moves towards ?????? again.

??????: (eyes widen in shock, before they smile) YES! Now, time to go look at the info! (looks at the information) 

Takuya: (chuckles) 

Tenade: (sweat drops) Wow, you get flustered so easily. Wonder if your girlfriend likes poking fun into you. 

Touma: (immediately goes red) 

Takuya: Awwwww! He's so shy it's adorable!

Tenade: Agreed!

??????: "A Spirit is the last thought someone has before reincarnating...." Huh.... The only feeling I had during my final moments were despair.... (eyes widen) Uh oh.... 

Gattenmaiar: (soon slows down) Takuya-sama, we have arrived at the battle field! 

The 3 immediately stop joking around as they arrive at the train station, where a VERY familiar Youkai is causing havoc.

Takuya: Eh? Isn't that.... 

Gattenmaiar: It is, Takuya-sama. 

It's a Nagabana. A strangely-coloured one, to be honest; he's grey and dark brown all over.

Tenade: (blinks, remembers Ryaku's rambles about the Youkai) That's... Nagabana right? 

Gattenmaiar: はい！(Hai! = Yes! {Japanese}) He's a Youkai who inspirits people to babble all day long until others get annoyed of the inspirited and leave. 

Touma: Sounds like a very troublesome Youkai. 

Gattenmaiar: Indeed, Touma-sama. We must engage it into battle at once. 

Takuya: (nods) Agreed. 

Touma: (gets his Youseiken ready) 

Tenade: Let's do this- 

?????: Oh come on, big sis, won't ya do it for me? Just sing them a song~ Please? (big bright grey eyes stare back at her)

??????: (Tenade's mouth moves, but she doesn't recognise the voice) O-Of course! Anything for you! 

Tenade: (blinks, grips her head slightly) Agh... What happened?.... 

Takuya: (notices) Hey, you okay? 

Tenade: Y-Yeah... 

Touma: You look pale...

Tenade: (waves it off) It's fine. 

??????: How do I reach out to my reincarnation then?.... (after thinking for a while, looks at the soul) Hm.... Maybe... Just maybe... (reaches hand out to the soul) 

Touma: Alright then. 

Tenade: (takes her X-Ray) Magical Gates, Open! (eyes glow lavender before magic surrounds her) 

Takuya: (takes out his D-Scanner) Ready?! 

Tenade, Touma: OH!

Youkai Watch Ogre!

Possession! Genma Yoshitsune! Lend me your Power!

Touma twisted the dial to Yoshitsune, pressing down on it with his other wrist as a green cloth fell over him. After a while, the cloth is lifted to reveal Yoshitsune in all his kimono-clad glory.

Yoshitsune: Yoshitsune, さんじょう! (Sanjou! = Has arrived! {Japanese})

Takuya: Spirit..... Evolution!! (turns into Agnimon) Agnimon! 

Tenade: (summons her bone weapon, the mist surrounds it as well) Let's fight! 

Agnimon, Yoshitsune: AGREED! (they charge for Nagabana) 

Nagabana: Not so fast! Keep Chatting! (shoots it towards Yoshitsune) 

Yoshitsune: (dodges) Takuya-kun, watch out for his no

Agnimon: On it! Salamander Break! (kicks Nagabana's chest) 

Nagabana: (dodges, tries to touch Agnimon with his nose) 

Tenade: Not happening today, Nagabana! (blocks him, is about to land a kick on his back) 

?????: Oh come on, big sis! Why do you have to be so mean and ugly?!

Tenade: (freezes) H-Huh? 

Nagabana: AHA! (reaches out with his nose)

Yoshitsune: あぶない！(Abunai! = Watch out! {Japanese}) (pushes Tenade out of the way, kicks Nagabana back)

Nagabana: (grunts in pain) 

Tenade: (gasps in shock, scrambles away) T-Thanks! 

Yoshitsune: No problem! (jumps back to join Agnimon) 

Tenade: (does the same) 

Agnimon: What happened, Tenade-san? You were spacing out in the middle of the battle. 

Tenade: I-It's nothing.... (thinks: W-Why did that voice sound so familiar?...)

??????: Anything to make you happy! 

Tenade: (gets a headache after hearing that) Agh.... That voice... I think I remember hearing it from somewhere....

Yoshitsune: You okay? (looks worried) 

Tenade: (nods painfully)

Yoshitsune: Sit this battle out, Tenade.

Tenade: I can't! I want to help out! 

??????: (touches the soul) Hey... Can you hear me?.... 

Tenade: I don't want to be a burden to y- (gets an even bigger headache) A-AH! (goes to her knees)

Agnimon: Tenade-san! 

Nagabana: (smirks) AHAHAHAHA! Time to taste defeat! (begins charging up) 

Agnimon: Never! Fire Darts! (shoots at Nagabana) 

Yoshitsune: Tenade-san, are you okay?! 

Tenade: (eyes flash grey) A-Ah... W-Who's there?... 

Yoshitsune: E-Eh? Who are you talking to?

??????: (sighs) Good, you can hear me. 

Tenade: W-Who are you?... 

??????: My name is not important.

Agnimon: (blocks Nagabana's attacks) Tch! Fire Types are not efficient against Water Types! Touma-san! Can you help me?! 

Yoshitsune: I can't! Something's wrong with Tenade! 

Tenade: W-What do you want?... (weak tone)

??????: I want you.... To fall into despair. 

Tenade: W-What? Despair?... 

Yoshitsune: What's going on, Tenade?! 

Agnimon: (blocks another attack) We 

??????: Please... That's the only thing that would make her happy... I owe my sister so much... (begins sobbing) She didn't deserve what she got.... It was all his fault..... Please.... PLEASE, let me make up for my one mistake of leaving her.... (eyes start to glow red, her memories begin flowing to Tenade's head)

Tenade: (winces due to the overload of memories) W-What the...? 

As the memories flash by, Tenade slowly realises..... They're memories of ??????'s life..... They're memories of a character whose backstory Tenade knows from Kuriwa... And matches what she's seeing right now.... 

But it's not a good one.... 

Tenade: (eyes widen) そっか。。。(Sokka... = I see... {Japanese}) I-I know who you are now..... 

??????: H-Huh? (looks confused) 

Yoshitsune: Tenade-san?....

Tenade: You're.... Ikusuba Mukuro..... 

??????: (shocked)..... H-How did you know?.... 

Tenade: Kuriwa's a fan of Danganronpa.... (looks down) S-So I'm your reincarnation huh?..... 

Agnimon: I NEED HELP NOW, TOUMA-SAN!

Yoshitsune: (eyes widen, he looks back at Tenade for a while) S-Sorry.... (rushes to the battlefield while reverting back to Touma, takes the Fudou Raimei Ken out) 

Youkai Watch Ogre!

Possession! Kenbumajin Fudou Myouou!

Fudou!

Lend me your Power! 

Touma throws the Youseiken to the sky, before it showers him with cloth again. After a while, Fudou Myouou appears. 

Fudou Myouou: Fudou Myouou has arrived!  

Nagabana: (goes pale) Uh oh.... 

Agnimon: (backs away)

Fudou Myouou: Be prepared.... For my 雷鳴鉄槌斬り !!!! (Raimei Tettsui Kiri = Thunder Hammering Slash {Japanese}) (shoots it at Nagabana) 

Agnimon: TASTE THIS AS WELL! (charges up) BURNING SALAMANDER!!!!! (throws it at Nagabana) 

Nagabana: AHHHH!!!!!! (gets sent to the wall, slumps onto it as the dark skin "peels off" him and dissipates) 

Agnimon: (sighs, reverts back to Takuya) Phew... That was close... 

Gattenmaiar: Indeed it was, Takuya-sama.

Nagabana: Urgh.... (opens eyes, sees Takuya) Takuya? 

Takuya: Nagabana! (relieved tone) Thank goodness you're alright! Remy would have had my head if something had happened to you! 

Nagabana: (rubs his head sheepishly) Yeah.... I don't remember much about what happened to me, though... One moment I was walking around Kuala Lumpur, the next WHOOSH! I blacked out!

Takuya: (sighs) We'll have to look into that later. 

Nagabana: I have to get back to Remy. He's probably worried... 

Gattenmaiar: You should, Nagabana-kun. 

Nagabana: Alright then. See you two soon! (waves before he disappears)

Takuya: (nods) Agreed. 

The two walk back to the duo, where Tenade is curled up in a ball. 

Touma: Tenade-san, are you okay?...

Takuya: Huh? What's she talking about?

The two walk into the portal before it disappears.
